How does this math chart look, /mu/? Anything you'd replace with something else?

I'm not totally thrilled with the bottom row

those are albums not math

source: several years of math
>>
>>48234193
Good catch, I'll keep that in mind
>>
there's gotta be a better jap math record than 3nd's World Tour, that album is really more towards post-rock imo. té would be a step up i think

also Auto!Automatic!! is pretty boring and i would replace it with The Bulletproof Tiger

Butter 08 - S/T (1996)
>Alternative Rock, Noise Rock
If you ever need to get a grip on just how uncool you are--how uncool we all are, really--all you need to do is get your hands on this little gem and give it a spin. Butter starts out with a bang with the hard rocking "9mm"--which includes a brilliant guitar solo--and ends as loudly with the hip-hop laced "Butterfucker". In between are ten energetic tracks that never let up on the great grooves, keyboards and guitars. If you can't be cool, it's at least nice to be able to hear what it sounds like.

could anyone explain to me wtf the difference is between analog and digital, sound-wise?

i dont understand the point of spending so much money on analog when we have things like U-he's Diva and midi controllers with plenty of knobs to fuck around with. and even with VA's, can people really even tell the difference after applying fx, eq and compression?

i don't get the hype

They should release a new album later this year too

Honestly I was never the biggest fan of this. The vocals and lyrics are really weak and a little tacky, while the rest isn't anything terribly interesting

The drums are nice, though

What is the most percussion based, metallic clangy industrial there is?
60 posts and 10 images submitted.
>>
>>48182200
I would probably have said Einsturzende Neubaten if it wasn't in your picture. Some of Skinny Puppy's earlier stuff had a "clangy" period, before they started adopting hip hop beats and generally sounding like shit. I feel like I should be able to help you more, but I'm pretty tired and my memory doesn't seem to be helpful at the moment.
>>
>>48182549
:(
>>
Test Dept. is precussion based, they basically copied early Einstürzende Neubauten, but they're all right. Ritual ambient is generally just precussion as well, but that's not really "metallic", or "clangy".

ITT: Post pics or art you think would make a good album cover and guess which genres they would be

Are korg Volca range good for a fucking newb without any experience with hardware? What will I also need for mixing? What effects should I buy for distortion or reverb?
>>
>>48184129
The Volcas are pretty good, though the bass is a bit useless next to the keys. But I think, they rather a gadged after all, but they have potential, keep that in mind. Just buy a small mixer, like 5-12 channels, old 80ies/90ies ones can be good too, chances is to stump upon deals is high obv. Some new mixers have built in effects, otherwisely, old stuff off ebay or affordable guitar stompers.

use swing, use dirty samples, bang shit with a condenser mic near what you're banging, google for some drum kits, quit being lazy. you can't find shit and you want to be a producer. i'm not saying making a beat is the hardest thing in the world but if you can't teach yourself how to fish it's going to seem like it for you.
