Is Siouxsie the most underrated music waifu?
Nah, that would be Lydia Lunch or Beyonce. Both of them have done some shitty human being tier stuff, but damn if anyone wouldn't wanna fuck the shit out of either.

>Lydia Lunch
you can just google her blowing some dude briefly in some oh so arty student film
Is this bizarro /mu/?
>Holy Diver
>You've been down too long in the midnight sea
>Oh what's becoming of me
>Ride the tiger
>You can see his stripes but you know he's clean
>You can hide in the sun 'till you see the light
Which kind of drugs was Dio doing?
Imagine a tiger is charging at you at great speed… Your first impulse might be to fight or ‘take on’ the beast. But if you do this, you will surely lose, since the beast is more powerful than you are. However, if you manage to leap on the back of the tiger and ride it, you may be able to harness its energy and strength for your own ends.

Post dreamy music for broken hearts

>The fact that so many books still name the Beatles as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" rock band ever only tells you how far rock music still is from becoming a serious art. Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Rock critics are still blinded by commercial success. The Beatles sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way)
>(not true, by the way)
Who is the best selling artist then? Whenever I look it up, I can only find The Beatles listed as the highest selling.

What are some prog rock albums/artists that feature the keyboard as a leading instrument?
Some features I would be looking for: emphasis on melody and atmosphere, strong classical or prog folk influence, and not too "busy" (includes passages of ambience or solo instrumental isolation)
Something along the lines of Genesis' "Trespass," and maybe Yes' "Close to the Edge," or some of the work of Banco del Mutuo Soccorso.
iirc
pretty much everything from ELP
Is Iron Maiden's adaptation of the epic poem "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" technically a cover?
>>74596782
No? Was the poem ever made into a song by another band/original author
I just listened to this album, and really enjoyed it. What does /mu/ think of this album ? Also, why is it classified as jazz-fusion first on rym when it sounds way more like prog ?
album pictured is definitely jazz prog (has structures of jazz but sound of prog, if I recall correctly), Birds of Fire is proto-prog metal; people say this is a jazz fusion album because of John McLaughlin and his involvement with Miles Davis that ended around this time
I like The Inner Mounting Flame but Birds of Fire is just a little stronger than that. Haven't heard any other Mahavishnu yet.
>>74596780
it's a hazy dilineation
fusion is pretty much instrumental prog with more improvisation
Artists who you'd totally believe any story about them being an asshole

Hip-hop as a genre evolves/changes faster than any other genre of music. Rock music at the end of the day is still the same old guitar shit in comparison. Hip-hop on the other hand, is very diverse because any/every sound can be used to create its instrumentals. That way it can adapt whatever sound is hip at the moment (like it did with the EDM trend this decade and RnB in the decades past.) There's a night and day difference between Rakim/Young Thug yet a band like Radiohead, despite being "revolutionary", sounds a lot like the big bands of the 60s/70s like Beatles or Pink Floyd or Can.
>rock music doesn't sound different now because it's influenced by 70s music
>doesn't hear the connection between hip-hop then and now
actually hip hop has probably changed the least, every song is still in 4/4, most rap songs still have a boom bap beat and take 70 funk/disco samples
First of all who let you, a down syndrome retard out of the cage in your moms basement. If anything hip hop is the worst as far as objectivity goes by farrrrrr. Have you ever studied music theory or listened to anything other than mumble rap?
>>74596547
Hiphop is miraculously generic and it has barely changed in the 30 years it's existed
What variation of "I have money", "I smoke weed" and "I will kill you" convined you it was a malleable genre?
It's been 40 years. Press F.

>Do people not have GOOD FUCKING taste in music?
Yes, It was proven they don't in the OP to this thread.
>do people not have good taste
come on op you know the answer
the real question is will people ever have good taste
(the answer is also no)
This song fucking sucks lol
>the end of the first track is just another song on the album but pitched down and reversed
>rapper repeats the same verse twice in the same song
>nazi "comedian" reveals his power level on social media, costing himself a once in a lifetime opportunity (and health insurance)
>Hey pig
>Yeah you
>Hey pig piggy pig pig pig
>All of my fears came true
>Black and blue and broken bones
That's probably not even in Reznor's bottom 20
