Hip-hop as a genre evolves/changes faster than any other genre of music. Rock music at the end of the day is still the same old guitar shit in comparison. Hip-hop on the other hand, is very diverse because any/every sound can be used to create its instrumentals. That way it can adapt whatever sound is hip at the moment (like it did with the EDM trend this decade and RnB in the decades past.) There's a night and day difference between Rakim/Young Thug yet a band like Radiohead, despite being "revolutionary", sounds a lot like the big bands of the 60s/70s like Beatles or Pink Floyd or Can.
>rock music doesn't sound different now because it's influenced by 70s music
>doesn't hear the connection between hip-hop then and now
actually hip hop has probably changed the least, every song is still in 4/4, most rap songs still have a boom bap beat and take 70 funk/disco samples
First of all who let you, a down syndrome retard out of the cage in your moms basement. If anything hip hop is the worst as far as objectivity goes by farrrrrr. Have you ever studied music theory or listened to anything other than mumble rap?

Hiphop is miraculously generic and it has barely changed in the 30 years it's existed
What variation of "I have money", "I smoke weed" and "I will kill you" convined you it was a malleable genre?

Are you high?
