Was 2009 the golden age of /mu/?
Yes, it was before /mu/ turned into /soc/ adn kanye west teh board. It's recovering recently though, I'm not sure why but those /soc/ threads have kinda died.
2009 was kind of the age of tripfags though

>2009 was kind of the age of tripfags though
That's true. Benevolent Stranger, Bill Murray, and The Tourist were all regulars at that time.
It also seemed to me that /mu/ really found its identity at that time. That's when /mu/core was basically solidified. Plus the memes were genuinely dank.

The Tourist most hated tripfag in 4chan history.

How would you describe his production style?
"The most artistic and innovative aspect of the Beatles' music, in the end, proved to be George Martin's arrangements. Perhaps aware of the band's limitations, Martin used the studio and studio musicians in a creative fashion, at times venturing beyond the demands of tradition to embellish the songs. Moreover, Martin undoubtedly had a taste for unusual sounds.
Every arrangement of that period - the harpsichords and the flutes, the prerecorded tracks and the electronic effects - was the result of George Martin's careful production.
The results might not have been particularly impressive, but they were most certainly interesting. He was the true genius behind the music of the Beatles. Martin transformed their snobbish disposition, their childish insolence, their fleeting enthusiasm, into musical ideas. He converted their second hand melodies into monumental arrangements.
And we also know what the Beatles were without Martin:four mediocre singer-songwriters. Their solo records tell us how good they were without Martin."

I admit I felt the same way I heard that album and song but sadly, it didn't age well for me, I wish I could love it as much as I did the first time

It's not my absolute favorite anymore, but I still like coming back to it here and there

The disco sucks thing was a thinly veiled racist uproar.
Disco was just a genre that got too big and outstayed its welcome
>listen to a new album in the background
>it's a solid 3.5/5
>actually listen to a new album with full attention
>it's boring and difficult to even listen all the way through
that just means u have a better album in your head, which is just begging to get out... so get composing... anon
