Sometimes sine making "Finished" lineart in sai is better with their stablizers and a lot more fun than using the pathing tool with a mouse in gimp. kinda wish I could teach Inept how to use the pathing tool though I have a feeling like she wouldn't uuse it if I did. Actually it's more of a, I draw with a different bit of style in each program. With gimp I get much better blended colors and shading which is why I use it when I'm running 11-54 I tend to use sai for other simple things because it's dynamic brushes make it easy to sketch out things with brushes that hide how shitty my lines are. Also,simple animations in gimp. What it really boils down to is Sai "feels" better but I can do more in Gimp.

I only use MSpaint to hold references for colours.
I'm a retard that actually use gamemaker 8's sprite editor to do the actual pixelshit work, because it has an adjustable grid size and transparency, and some other random shit, but mostly for the transparency. I kinda wish there was a standalone version of it, it's nice. It's kinda like MSpaint though.
I probably should look into finding something better, though. I tried Paint.net once, but didn't like something about it.

It surprisingly has, I'm doing all my big picture's on it although it took me some time to get used to it's flow in general and to making lines with fingers "lalieri" tag on derpibooru for examples, exclude coloring for half of collabs, reason is below. Main problems is that with bigger canva's comes less layers (approximately from 18 for anything smaller than 768x1024 (smallest is 256x256) to only 2 layers for max size, 2560x2560) that can screw you if you are not planning pic beforehand and can make you do only lining or only flat coloring. Many brushes that you can custom but can't add any new ones, and pretty limited set of additional tools (tho fact that it has any and all useful ones is still nice). And I'm using years old "Pro, version 2.9.2" for tablets so I dunno if it's still good and worth buying or not

Not really CYOA artist (tag "dsp2003" at derpi, aside occasional request collabs together with "lalieri"), but:

* Paint Shop Pro 7/9 for occasional text (its text and vector tools are superb) and retouching
* PaintTool SAI 1.2.5 for everything else (including the handwritten text, which I've been utilizing way more than vectors nowadays)

SAI is a complicated case, because you basically need to craft your own toolset to be productive (or collect it online from various tumblr and dA posts, which I did over the years), but once you've done that just draw and enjoy it.

I'd ditch PSP7 long ago, since it can be quite unstable at times (and do not recognize Unicode), but PSP9 has its own flaws due to rewritten engine. For particular example, the colour picker tool does not work at all, so I have to jump between them for complicated retouching that requires perspective correction tools, which are absent in PSP7.

Honestly, That run of Unique I tried back during April 1st. It was meant to be a fun little aside to show my appreciation for the universe and characters in it, but after a few missteps like only re-reading the last 5 posts in the main story before running and Forgetting about some of the events I had, already started to fuck up royal. I tried to fix things as they came like adding the mutation to one side of Pitch's face but Then When I tried to make Lovesick try to rape Chalk scary, by adding that the ichor on her body will cause mutations in there backfired. I tried to just continue running like I normally would. Then one Anon Said that I was just trying to ship characters like a fucking Deviantart shipper and I stopped feeling like doing anymore. I asked somebody to look over what I wrote, and I was told it was okay, but ultimately I decided that it wasn't going to be fun for me, so I let it die. Ever since, I've thought about it every now and then. I had planned a lot for running it, for things that could happen. But, at this point I've already fucked up, so I can't really try again. Now when I think about Unique I keep remembering how much I fucked up and any idea I have for like fan-art and stuff are snuffed out since. I don't want to look like a shill. and that comment about how I should just make a lewd comic, if I'm going to be a shipping piece of shit turned me off on the idea, of really doing any more artwork with Chalk.

Having said that I wasn't particularly into the revival. Your writing is dark and edgy even when the premise isn't, it's made worse when the premise is also inherently dark and the world is very volatile. I was probably going to drop it soon after that since it didn't look like it'd be fun.
