>Curiously, you pick up the fruit and peel off a side.
>It's a banana, all right. Some pretty thorough transmutation magic from such a young pony.
>Why was there even food in here? You didn't even know Doc Pill ate in the consultation rooms.

"Okay, mister...kid. You're going to need to stop casting anymore spells for a while, okay?"
>The clinic does stock a few medical grade suppression rings, meant to let only the weaker magics through.
>Pulling open the drawer, you take one of the light metal rings out and slip it onto the pony's horn.

>Of course, these rings are pretty old...they can only handle so much before popping off like a champange cork.
>You just hope it doesn't come to that.

>Already, your mind is working on possible causes and treatments.
>Could be that his magic is erratic because of...a sort of 'dehydration'. Salts and electrolytes could help bring things back into balance.
>Else, some way of putting a lid on that spellcasting would give his body a chance to fix itself naturally from the food he eats.
"What were you doing at the time to cast so many spells?"

>The pony takes a moment, slowing his breathing. Clearly an effort to calm himself down.
>"I..I..I learnt a new spell. A type of freeform transformation, turning small objects into other things, if I could imagine them properly."
>A smile begins to grace the corners of his mouth, tone becoming excited.
>"It was awesome!" He stares a few degrees off to the side.
>"The first spell I've gotten a real grip on since I've gotten my cutie mark! I was transforming pens to pencils, leaves into paper, and back again!"
>The young colt shifts a little to show off the mark on his flank. A trio of simple star designs, coming off the tip of an old-style wand.
>"But...I went too far. Just like my parents said! 'Use your horn too often, and you'll go blind!'" You assume that last line was an impersonation of his mother.
>Funny, you always heard it as 'Rub spells out of your horn too often, and your fetlocks won't stop growing'.
>Could it all be some sort of placebo? If believing in something hard enough can fool the mind, it might do the same for the body.

>You raise a hoof and move it across his vision. The pony across doesn't respond. Clearly having some sort of vision issue, at least.
"So, how did you make it here, then?"
>"Oh I didn't go blind immediately, er...things just got more and more blurred as it went on. It...took some time to find my way here."
"And how long have you been continously casting spells for?"
>"Well, I didn't do any magic while I was sleeping, but...three days."

It's not impossible that a magical organ connected to your forehead might impact vision in some way when under severe stress. Right? Maybe prolonged usage can cause some swelling that could temporarily pinch the optic nerve.
>>
>>30142145
>there are devices that collect excess magic and channel it into a storage gem for later disposal, and can fetch a few bits from magic shops.
Damn. Only a suppression ring? Good by cash.
I was referring to Explodey Head, in this was the more severe variant, Cranial-Magickal Hypertrophy. Judging by this....
>Already, your mind is working on possible causes and treatments.
>Could be that his magic is erratic because of...a sort of 'dehydration'. Salts and electrolytes could help bring things back into balance.
Seemed kind of lame, so my guess was that my assumption of the symptom was wrong.

Let's stick our dick in him while he's magically nutered.

Fyi I was joking
>>
>>30153633
>>
"Well, have you got into any Poison Joke recently?"
>"Poison-wha?"
"Small blue flower, often grows in patches in forests."
>He shakes his head.
>Well, there's that theory out.
"Nevermind, then. Have you got any other symptoms?"
>"Er...that's about it..?" he scratches the back of his head "I think I feel a bit of a headache coming on..."

>It's at this moment, that Doc Pill chooses to come in.
>The side door from behind the counter slides open suddenly, startling your patient.
>>"I trust you've had enough time to figure out some sort of diagnosis, Heart?"
>He walks up by you're sitting, casually placing a hoof on the desk.
>Peering at the even younger unicorn, he glances down.
>>"Why is there a banana in here?"
>>
>>30155069
Miss fired a spell and turned an apple into a banana.
>>
>>30155069
Let’s just admit we couldn’t come up with a firm diagnosis and give him the run down of what we know.
>>
>>30155069
Why was there an apple in here?
>>
>>30155069
Would you like the Banana doctor?
What about you unicorn I forgot to ask the name of?
>>
"Well...a misfired spell turned that apple into a banana."
>"Is that so...?"
>Doc Pill levitates up the fruit, looking at the section you peeled off.
>"Hm...seems like a complete transformation. Do you have a diagnosis?"
"Nothing firm."
>You shake your head.
"All I've gotten is that this all started when he learned this spell. He got excited, and then proceeded to keep casting it...for three days."
"So now it's somehow made this the only spell he can cast, progressively worsens his vision, and has started to give him a headache...just like his parents said, apparently."

>"Going blind from rubbing spells out of your horn too much? There's a joke in here somewhere." Amusement light on his tongue as he squints at the patient.
>"Well, nothing seems to be an exact fit for this. Looks like we'll have to take things as they come."
>Doc Pill's horn lights up breifly.
>"Doesn't seem to be any sort of magic actively affecting him either. At least the ring will stop any more misfires, but the blindness...do you have anything else to add, Heart?"
>>
>>30157973
Cast a diagnosis spell on his horn. Sorry Doc, but I have no clue where the blindness came from.
>>
>>30157973
It'd be cool if this kid could show us some of his spells. After he gets better.
>>
>>30157973
I can’t think of anything helpful to add so let’s just let Pill get to work and try to learn something by watching.
>>
>>30157973
I not sure right now doc. All that heavy lifting made really tired.
>>

>>
I wonder if the QM is capable of writing lewd.

>>30161289
Is that a challenge?
>>
>>30161720
Yes
>>
"Sorry, Doc."
>You say with a shrug.
"I'm not too sure right now."
>Settling back in the chair you decide to watch and learn. Your body aches some in the tiredness of all the heavy lifting you did.

>Doc Pill looks over the young pony once more, before giving a cough in your general direction.
>"Ahem. Heart?"
>Oh. Right. Guess you'll have to stand just a while longer...
>Reluctantly you shift out of the chair and the older unicorn moves to replace you.
>"Right, as I was saying, Mr...?"
>>"Just call me Norm. My full name is...complicated."
>"Right then, 'Norm', normally I'd perscribe you stay here overnight so we can keep an eye on you, but..."
>The young unicorn hastily shakes his head and hooves at you.
>>"O-overnight? But they don't even know I'm here!"
>"As I thought. But either way, you're going to keep that ring on your horn and come back tomorrow so we can check your progress."
>>"A-and about my blindness?"
>"Glasses."

>That's...well, you can see his point?
>The guy isn't literally blind...just medically blind.
