Just finished watching this. Holy shit, it was far better than it had any right to be. Not even sure why I enjoyed it so much but it was a pleasant ride.

The characterization was different-than-'normal' enough to make it intriguing to watch. I liked that MC and his inevitable childhood romantic partner actually said I love you to each other at the end. Shame best girl didn't win, though. And goddamn, Furuichi's suicide was pretty brutal.

All in all, excellent show, imo. Let's talk about it.

Fuck, I wast expecting this.

As a boy who watched the Saban Power Ranger, Rita(Bandora) always bored me to death. Some months later a friend of mine introduced me into the Sentai world and goddamn, I cant watch Sabans Power Ranger the way I used before.

This scene and Green Rangers death made me realise how unidimensional the Saban version is and that in the original version, villains were more complex and had their motivations to fight.

Rita (Bandora) in the original didnt attack the earth and despised childrens because she was pure evil, it was because of her pact with the devil. Meanwhile the Saban version she just want to fuck up the earth because fuck it.

Are there any Gundam games (Tabletop, RPG, Video-game, don't care which) that allow you to play as a random mook from some army, who steadily makes his way up the chain of command before getting to pilot some of the bigger, better Mobile Suits, maybe making your own custom mech? Because, honestly, I have a major craving to play something that allows me to take command of a Zaku/Leo/Flagg and kick some ass in a Mook-Mech, before steadily upgrading that mook-mech into the biggest ass-kicker this side of Lagrange Point 5.
