So I was set on getting a Glock 19, when the guy at the LGS pulled this one down. I wanted to do some due diligence before just going Glock. With a budget being very close to or less than 500USD, which one and why /k/?
FWIW, This is my first handgun, but I have much experience with 10mm and .380ACP. Just want a reliable all around gun for range/home/carry.
>>30228499
Shoot both at a range that has rentals. Then decide. 19 is fine. I carry my glock less and fnx more now but carried a glock for probably 5 years.
>>30228499
I like thoes Springfield remakes, the xd series. ~$500. I got the xd .45 first, then the xdm 9. The 9 is easier to carry, but the .45 isnt exactly difficult.
2022 is too fat to conceal. It's meant to be a duty weapon. They should also be at least $100 cheaper than a glock. I bought mine new for $350 a while back. They are good guns, the 19 still be more versatile though.
Whats the best backpack for conceled carry??
An inside the wasteband holster.

Hunters of /k/, let's say you had the option to travel back to the late-1800s/early 1900s to go hunting along the western coastal regions of North America, from Oregon all the way up to Alaska.
While you cannot use any obvious technology that would reveal your future origins (no modern fabrics, no optics, no rangefinders, etc.) you are allowed to take any bolt action rifle from modern day that would not look too out of place, along with a reasonable quantity of ammo for it.
What rifle would you pick, and what caliber? What choice of current time period sights would you opt for? What ranges would you hunt at?
Most importantly, why did you choose that particular load out?
Nugget, glorious 7.62
Glorious rifle is not of need pathetic optic
7.62 is hunt at all range
Glorious russian design is never of the aging

I'd take a Gewehr 98 and I'd go find conflicts to fight in.
Hunting humans is a thing, right?
Well let's go kill of some short ass little napoleonic fucktards.
Gotta wonder how France would respond to ANY of the napoleons having been assassinated.
Oh, and I'd use irons.

> Not necking up to the 9×53mmR
Do you even hunt 200kg+ game, comrade?
My new toy... the umarex fuel .22. I clocked it at about 810 fps
Thoughts?

Break actions are inconvenient at best when it comes to bench shooting.
Umarex is basicly Walther isn't it

I'll open this up with urgent worries! Just heard on the radio news that WA politicians are going to try and most likely succeed in limiting ccw permits to copythe California where it will become may issue if you can prove you need a concealed weapon. Because you are being stalked or threatened. This is fucked and we need to fight now to prevent this!!
When will these Soviet commies fuck off out of our country and leave us alone? I hope trumpet gets in office and creates a nation wide ccw system.
If we would've just nuked Russia like good Americans we wouldn't be dealing with communist brain washing today.

Yes, the jet engine, the first cruise missle and research into heavy water were so fucking racist. Facts don't stop being facts because you don't like them and the Wunderwaffen programs made some total shite, but also made some amazing weapons.
No wait, that's kind of close to a refutation of your point, so I'll just say:
Fuck off back to /r/hurtfeelings you revisionist shit.
Great minds+Facist government = brilliant country
Consider that you don't have to worry about the money, would you ?
>>30228083
Nope. I don't even like Glocks.
>>30228083
1. I don't like glocks.
2. The Prosecuting attorney would have a field day with you shooting someone with a 50 Cal.
>>30228083
>Consider that you don't have to worry about the money, would you ?
As in somebody is going to hand me one of these slides, or the whole thing? What about the ammo?
Or are you saying that I'm rich so I don't "have to worry?" Well that's fucking stupid because you don't stay rich by wasting your money on retarded meme shit.
In either case I would shoot one, as for as buying one if I "didn't have to worry about the money," probably not.
What would it take for Russia to actually matter again?

Is it possible to mod a nerf gun to the point where its lethal? You can mod the gun to make more power and glue a tack onto the end or the dart. That means you can probably break the skin from 15 feet out. Next step would be to coat the needle in some kind of poison or AIDS blood or something. Any ideas /k/?
If you had the right knowledge, you could build a deadly projectile weapon in your home for like 60 bucks.
>>30226524
fill it with lead and bash a head in
>>30226534
Two pipes, an endcap, a dowel, and a nail aren't 60 bucks.

Okay, besides looking kind of cool and being nostalgic for some, we have to acknowledge the fact that M/81 Woodland is an outdated pattern and is bettered by many modern woodland camouflages. It's heavily saturated and appears dark almost always and is outperformed by MARPAT, AOR, and others. The meme status of this camouflage pattern on this board has risen far above Rhodesian Brush Stroke.
>>30225126
Obligatory post.
>>30225126
fuck off.
>>30225156
The truth hurts.
This is pretty much a must on all my rifles. After a good trigger, optic and sling a bipod is mandatory.
Don't have a bipod on any of my rifles because I never really bench shoot, but I've been looking to get one to use for optic sighting instead of hauling a rest around.
What does /k/ recommend for a decent bipod that'll work well for that purpose? Preferably not a $300 top of the line one, I don't need something like that.
>>30225161
>Don't have a bipod on any of my rifles because I never really bench shoot
Not needed for that. It's a practical thing. For any kind of precision shooting or shooting anything that isn't close it's better to rest the rifle on something stable or going prone.
>>30225199
I suppose, but everything I use my rifles for has never really put me in a position where I would've used it. I generally just plink while standing or crouched and when I hog hunt I don't lie prone.
You have any suggestions for a decent bipod I could swap between my ARs?
My options:
USP 9, $575. Comes with holster, rail, three mags and mag pouch. 500 rounds through it
P-07, $400. Comes with 2 mags and decocker. 4700 rounds through it
Sig P320, $450. Comes with one replacement frame and 2 mags. "Like new condition"
This will be a range toy mostly, and a bedside gun. I like DA/SA but don't mind striker fired.
What would you fags do?
>>30224412
I'd get the USP, especially for that price
>>30224412
The USP will outlast all of the other pistols by a wide margin.
And that is an amazing price for a USP, I saw a worn out USP .45 at the last gunshow i went to.
>>30224412
USP for 600?
thats a steal
