White Vision was a sustained 6 years of negative portrayals of Vision, with writers interpreting "emotionless" as "deliberately cold and cruel", but this was the lowest point, as he supports Kree genocide as a swift and permanent end to the war, to make him look worse than Wonderman, because it's his book.

Fuck not, sure why writers and editors hate Wanda and Vision that much.
>>92084919
And then Wonderman tells Vision to his face "you were just a copy of me", and Vision doesn't get to challenge it, because he's emotionless and can't even care.

Good times.

I liked the costume a lot, but it's such a stupid stereotype; that "logical" means "emotionless".
Vision was previously both with no real problems whatsoever.

This comic really illustrates between RDJ and the comics Tony Stark.
There was a STRONG line distinguishing between Tony's carefree behavior and the hardened, serious, almost robotically driven personally he had as Iron Man.
It was even later said in his own series that this was probably deliberate in his part; by acting different as Iron Man he could "escape" from being Tony Stark.

You know what?
This crossover is actually not bad.
Maybe modern comics authors just choke on donkey cock when it comes to writing.
The end. BRb

Moments like this, where Wanda still cares about Vision so much, while he's incapable of responding, it's heartbreaking, yet sweet how she won't give up on him.

For what it's worth, Vision was being shitted on because John Byrne was still employed by Marvel at the time and no one had the balls to really try and undo the character assassination done to Vision until he was finally out the fucking door once he left She-Hulk/Namor.
As soon as he was out the door, Harras started rolling back what was done with Vision, complete with giving him his dick back when he moved him into a double's body and having him have his emotions again.
>>92085216
For Wanda, at this point in time, it wasn't so much they hated her as they had no fucking clue what to do with her powers. Love Roy Thomas, but he spent the bulk of his WCA run having Wanda's powers crap out on him constantly.
>>92091004
To be fair, even with the bullshit Immortus retcon (he brainwashed Tony via the Crossing shit to make Tony behave like a shit here in OGS), there is a reason why Tony is acting like a cunt in this crossover: a psychotic ex-girlfriend crippled him and an experimental surgery to undo said spinal injury was a ploy to turn him into a remote controlled puppet. A ploy that only accelerated the severe damage done to his nervous system via the shooting and the only thing keeping Tony from dropping dead at this point is his armor.
Indeed, in a matter of a couple of issues, Tony is going to go into a deathlike locked in type hell as his nervous system has to be rebuilt from scratch and he has to fake his death just to avoid being killed by his enemies while doing so.
>>92094587
Sadly Roy Thomas crushes this in their next meeting (AWC #89-91). And the whole Force Works relaunch (plus Kurt Busiek) salt the earth.....
>>92097537
It is strange how Roy Thomas, as Vision's co-creator, was one of the worst offenders for "emotionless Vision is a terrible person".
But by 1995-6, they were both back on the Avengers, in a slow-burn reunion story. And then, for the second time, everything gets ruined because someone wanted to push Wonderman.

It's hard to believe that John Byrne had that much power within Marvel that no-one dared undo what he had done to Vision, until after he'd gone. Just looking at how, after Byrne, so few writers seem to see Vision as a person, it feels more like there was a lot of "Byrne finally said what we were all thinking", and no-one wanted to fix Vision.
Harras was the first guy to try and change things, and play up the tragedy of what had happened to Vision, but he was undermined by how whenever he appeared in another book, they wrote him as being unlikeable.
