I'm kinda curious about something; it feels like a lot of these older comics adhere to a 16-17 page story followed by short follow-up story to pad out the rest of the book. Was there a specific time when they stopped doing this, or did it gradually fade away like thought balloons?

Funny thing is, literally in the issue after his first modern reappearance he was exercising and states right there on the page that exercise is something that he HAS to do to stay in shape because he has no superhuman powers.

Cap really just took very good anabolic steroids I guess; it helped his muscles and bones grow and improved his baseline health, but just like actual steroids he STILL needed to work out to maintain the level of fitness he attained.
