He write the right voice for him, but at this point has been able to do little. He's still introducing the team members, and that means he needs them to do most of the stuff in each story arc. A bit weak in the first four issues, he's gotten better in the last two (which also have switched from action to suspense).

But he certainly writes him right.
And it's kind of fun how Walker is bringing old marvel characters into each short story, even if they're mostly cameos. Currently we are dealing with super-skrull, out of all possible dangers.

Would just like to point out while one of the nice things about older comics is the lack of massive decompression and shit happens within the span of a single comic. Conversely though, here we have a moment where they slow down and give us an action scene over 2-3 pages just covering a very short amount of real time. By doing so it adds gravity to the scene and gives it some real tension.

I'm fine with Cap being generally against killing and regretting it having to happen. The idea that he managed to go through his time in WW2 without killing anyone is a bit absurd though. An unfortunate blemish on this otherwise excellent series.
