That's not how anything works, it doesn't even make sense. Murdock is a DEFENSE ATTORNEY, he didn't actually put anyone behind bars as a lawyer, he defended people. Either his "lawyer friend is stupid" or Bendis is.

I think it was because I had read choice quotes from interviews about things like "It will be the Wire of Netflix productions" and given the fact that I had just rewatched parts of The Wire, oh boy could it not compare. Oh, it definetly has issues, I'm just saying this is probably some attempt at a breather before the "big finish", and Bendis's runs, at least the ones I've read, tend to end on those.

Unlike, say, Slott's Spider-Man, who has done no less than FOUR different "big finishes" and kept going.

Seriously, if he stopped with either Spider-Island, Superior Spider-Man, Spider-Verse, or Clone Conspiracy, it would seem like he planned to every time.

I mean, I saw him. That's how I knew to go back and look at the other page, because I was positive I'd seen baseball cap dude before. The whole ending of that last issue is nonsense. There's some weird buildup about secret ninja powers and it ends with Daredevil asking who this secret dude is -- and then we role into this issue where he knows he's Lawrence and definitely doesn't have secret ninja powers.

It's a cliffhanger for the sake of itself.

A bit, but the idea that there's a hierarchy to supervillains has been a thing for a while.

I mean, there's Kingpin, and then there's Stilt-Man.
There's Joker, and then there's Calander Man.

If these characters were real, it'd be fucked up for civilians, but the guys fighting them probably recognize that some are bigger threats than others.

Bendis seems to love his awful frame plots. A few storytimes ago he had Ulrich talking to a mysterious figure about all the developments in Matt's life during the year that Bendis skipped, including meeting and dating Millia. It is effective for the reader, but falls apart when he reveals (via cliffhanger) that Ulrich has been talking to Milla the entire time. She is the mysterious figure. Why would Ulrich tell her about her meeting Matt and dating him?

Red's got a point. Him and blondie had nothing to do with Lawrence's spooky shit.

...is this guy for real?

I'm guessing this priest would rather pretend that Inferno never happened.

Given Matt's theory that he was kicked out "before completing his training", I guess he learned enough to be a menace to society, but not enough for the Hand to decide he was a threat? Makes no sense to me either.

I'm pretty sure you were either a teenager or in college when your father died.

That's one of the big problems when people try to be realistic with the Marvel Universe. Some very NON realistic shit has happened.

Fuck you Matt, stop pretending you're better than other heroes.

All right, between only one response for "move on" out of seven people, and being tired as hell anyway, I'm thinking we leave it at this for today. See you tomorrow night, as we finally finish Bendis's Daredevil run!

I feel like God gets a lot harder to believe in when you know cosmic cubes or mother boxes exist.
>>
>>90107841
Thanks OP, what's next on the list?
>>
>>90107841
Thanks as always, fampai.
>>
After we finally finish Daredevil, a brief New Thunderbolts two-parter that I forgot to do, where they fight the New Avengers, which I can probably throw in with Daredevil.
After that, we skip a few years and go to Parkerbolts, which has a Shadowland tie-in early on, so we'll be reading all the relevant Shadowland tie-ins as well.

Murdock Papers, obviously.

>Shadowland
This is what I hate about comics. This beautiful ass volume 2 eventually lead to fucking Shadowland, a spoopy demon that wants to takeover the world. Such an abysmal pay off.

If there is something that showcases beauty of Western comics with several creative teams working on one character and consistently putting out great stories AND continuing plot threads left by previous writers; and simultaneously showcases its ineffectiveness, which is one global event completely shitting the bed, it's volume 2 of Daredevil.
>>
>>90110253
Did Brubaker finish right before Shadowland? I honestly can't remember if I ever got that far into his run
>>
>>90110423
Finish his run.

The end is quite a player in what happens in Shadowland and it's nothing but wasted potential galore.

It's basically the same as Matt going to prison at the end of Bendis' run and Brubaker picking up by writing 10 out of 10 Devil in Cell Block D, but if Devil in Cell Block D sucked cocks, all of them.
>>
>>90110671
Shit, now I want to reread Brubakers run. I don't know if PM-IFanon plans on doing it though. I can't even remember if Power Man or Iron Fist ever appeared in it. Reading it would be a gigantic palette-cleanser after this uneven run
>>
>>90104794
This cover just makes me think he's going to do skip rope.
>>
>>90104918
So how many times is it now that Bendis has recycled this scene to skip writing new dialogue?
>>
>>90105038
Daredevil, being a second rate Spider-Man clone, has a pretty weak rogue's gallery.
>>
>>90105151
Yeah, but the point of his name was to reference his superspeed.

Guns aren't something you go as fast as a speeding one of, Bullets are.
>>
>>90105350
>Also, don't be surprised if Walker ignores the fact that, last time we saw him in 90's Cage, he was kind of evil, either because it was stupid, or he didn't read it.

Or maybe he does the other thing, and makes him FULL EVIL for them sweet, sweet Synergy bucks.
>>
>>90105371
What Catskills comedian did this guy buy his tie from? That thing's a fucking comedy prop.
>>
>>90105824
The people at the creative writing course told him to write what he knew, and damn if he didn't run with it.
>>
>>90106038
How did JJJ not get on this with a "Spider-Man Attacks Woman with Fire Eyes" headline?

How many teenagers do you encounter regularly?

Because aren't goths more of a 'rebellious teen' kind of thing?
>>
>>90106803
Somehow, Marvel Comics (616) ended up with the publishing rights to a comic book about him.

Also, an edgy rebellious goth teen might like him BECAUSE he's a threat and/or menace.
>>
Bump for reading.

That's vastly more screwed up in the head than wearing devil themed activewear.

Wait, why did Matt take the time to change in to his DD duds?
