Welcome back Anons! Last time, a Bendis OC villain tried to take over the Kingpin's territory, and it ended exactly as poorly as you'd expect. Let's see how long it takes for him to get wrecked.

Given that he's in a position of authority in the FBI, I'm surprised he's whining like this. You'd expect him to talk with, you know, authority.

>Last time, a Bendis OC villain tried to take over the Kingpin's territory

I'm honestly surprised no one ever called him out over basically doing that SAME storyline over again with the Hood. Because seriously, they could be the same fucking guy.

Also, Texas Anon started storytiming Gru Cap, and man, the Hood was ALSO a worse version of the Serpent Society, too, which I'd previously mostly just caught the end of in my youth.

In short, fuck Bendis and his hackey bullshit.

In like 5 issues of Cap, Gru introduced Armadillo, Madcap, Flagsmasher, the Serpent Society, the Cap Hotline, Steve Rogers as the artist of Marvel Comics' Captain America, and laid groundwork for at least five more years of stories.

Bendis took 6 issues to adapt Spider-Man's 16 page origin story.

Continuity or Bust.

Bendis would later repeat a version of this speech in Ultimate Spider-Man, when Ultimate JJ explains why he isn't going to write a story on Miles's identity.

Texture on Jonah's shirt always was weird to me.

Maybe if you're from Brooklyn, but a millennial from Queens sure as hell wouldn't be throwing random Yiddish words into his sentences.

What do you think, Anons? Leave it here, or do the other half of the arc?
>>
>>89777780
hey, at least the storytime runs faster -_-
>>
I guess not. I'll let the rest of you Anons sleep. See you tomorrow for more of Bendis's Daredevil!
>>

goodnight!

Im honestly not likening Sonja that much. Maybe Im just setting the bar too high?
>>
>>89776778
Technically it was 5 issues. Issues 6-7 were about his first fight with the Green Goblin.

And (I can't believe I'm typing this) in Bendis defense, he did use a lot of that page time to develop the characters of Peter and Ben and their relationship, which did make it a lot more heartbreaking when he died.

Did he need 5 issues for that? Probably not. A good writer probably could have done it in 3, with the fourth covering the Goblin fight. But as we've established, Bendis isn't a good writer.
>>
>>89776957
I don't know, that does sound pretty funny.
>>
>>89777188
No. Then again, it hadn't really come up much since Millers run. It was brought up maybe twice after that run, one of which was near the end of Volume 1. Me thinks Bendis read Millers run and the last couple issues of the previous one and just went from there, Natasha was very much over with him by this point, but in this run she can't help but bring it up every time they meet.

>>89777247
Everything said on this page could have been condensed into about 3 panels. Not even half a page. Fuck Bendis.
>>
>>89777498
Eh, he has a stern boss again, and he's having to play bad cop with his clients bit more. Other than that, not really.

It's not bad by any means, it's just clearly not taking advantage of it's new status quo. Wasted potential.
>>

Way to throw Heather under the bus, Bendis. She was a hero, how dare you forget her!

If only you were doing these storytimes during a time that I'm awake.

>Because seriously, they could be the same fucking guy.
Not really. This guy is a moron who somehow thinks it's possible for a ganster in the MU to avoid dealing with superheroes. The Hood knew that villains have to deal with heroes, so his plan was to bring all villains under his belt so that the heroes couldn't stop them.
>>
>>89777883
thanks for the storytime, goodnight.

>It's the fact that the pattern stays the same, despite the ruffles and folds.

That's because I'm pretty sure Maleev does a fair amount of tracing.
His background seem to mostly be photos with filters too.

Also, bump now that I'm awake.

Foggy's plan is kinda dumb.
Daredevil disappearing immediately once Matt Murdock is suspected of being him just makes it more obvious that Matt is Daredevil and has quit in a vain attempt to not look like it.
>>
>>89782237
The smart thing to do would be for Matt Murdock to appear in public at the same time as an ally dressed as Daredevil does something in public miles away. Which is what Ed Brubaker did to fix things.

Fun fact: Bendis actually intended for the OC to actually succeed at killing the Kingpin, Quesada had to talk him out of it.
>>
>>89777734
As if Bendis would pass up any opportunity to have her cameo.
>>
>>89792455
Source? Seems a bit weird considering Bendis brought the Kingpin back three times.
>>
>>89793757
It actually wasn't Quesada
>http://brianmichaelbendis.tumblr.com/post/60699138325/the-whole-batwoman-situation-got-me-wondering

> I have described before how I wanted to kill the kingpin in the very first issue of my daredevil run. editor ralph macchio caught wind of it, he was not the editor on daredevil at the time, and he called me and told me how the biggest mistake Marvel ever made was killing Norman Osborn. his feeling was it created a huge hole in the Spiderman mythology yet they didn’t have anything to fill the hole with. it was just a negative. there was no positive.

>he offered the suggestion that I just put kingpin out of the story in a violent way but still have him if I or anyone else ever needed him. I thought about it for a while and I thought that his reasoning was solid. I also remembered that his name has appeared on some of the greatest comics ever made. I believe that you should listen to smart people when they talk.

>I followed that suggestion and when I was planning daredevil 50 I realized I needed the kingpin. I was relieved that my editor had steered me in the right direction years before.

Really enjoying this
