Former Dark Horse employee here. Last time was fun, so let's do it again. What do you want to know about working in comics?
Only rule: no personal details.
Were they working on the Moebius estate deal when you still worked there?
Hey, loved the last thread you did!
Got any stuff on all that sexual harassment biz that blew up not too long ago?
Which genre does the company push more?
Flyweight championship !!
Been working on a story for one of these,
>Multiverse...yes I'm one of THOSE people
Combining aspects of /a/, /co/, and /tg/
>Picture if you will, Deadpool being hired to kill Titans from Attack on Titan and being given 3D gear to practice with...and derping into walls while he get's used to the controls.
>A Grey Knight and a Mage (From World of Darkness) setting, fucking over a Sentinel factory.
But one scene that occurred to me was Batman and Robin observing a scene from an old Anime called Ranma 1/2.
>look up if you want, but it hasn't aged well.
Where they watch as the primary love-interest Akane being attacked by 100 guys all at once and tearing through them like a grain-thresher running over a sleeping bag full of cranberries.
Robin: *Pulls out notepad and frantically starts taking notes*
Batman: "Hmm, I would have used a roundhouse on the one in the soccer jersey, but to each their own...in fact..."
Batman: *Makes a phonecall*
Batman: "Batgirl? Let me know if you need a sick day, because I might have found you a temp."
And that was the day every criminal in Gotham collectively shat themselves.
The sheer multitude of funny situations that could come up is hilarious to me.
>"I think [Thor 3] needs to be injected with that sort of smart wit and unexpected kind of humor, kind of what James Gunn came in and did with Guardians [Of The Galaxy]. It was like off center and unpredictable, and I think we can definitely use a dose of that, you know?"
>"I feel we had less of the sort of the naivety or fun or humor that the first [Thor] might have had. I wish we had more of that in the second [movie] … We’ve done regal. We’ve done Shakespeare, and we’ve shown that. I think now it’s time to go, 'Ok, cool. Let’s try something different,' and Taika just had such a brilliant sort of take and funny kind of ideas about where we could [go], how we could do that."
In B4 Marvelfags claim the MCU is anything more than a quippy gag factory with the depth of a wading pool.
"B-but Winter Soldier was a tense political thriller!"

>TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — A judge has ruled against a video gamer known for holding the world record in Donkey Kong who claimed that a cartoon character portraying him as a bearded, floating head stole his likeness.
>New Jersey Federal District Judge Anne Thompson threw out Billy Mitchell's lawsuit against the Cartoon Network on Friday, ruling that the "Regular Show" exaggerated his traits to make the character "cartoonishly evil" and that the show is protected by the First Amendment.
>The lawsuit stems from a character named Garrett Bobby Ferguson on the "Regular Show." Cartoon Network said the floating, bearded head that cheats to win an arcade game is a transformative depiction of Mitchell. The Hollywood, Florida, man has had a long, successful career in video games and is known for his long, dark hair and beard, and wardrobe of a black shirt and pants and American flag tie.
>"The television character does not match the plaintiff in appearance: GBF appears as a non-human creature, a giant floating head with no body from outer space, while Plaintiff is a human being," Thompson wrote. "And when GBF loses his title, the character literally explodes, unlike Plaintiff."
>Mitchell has held record scores in Donkey Kong — he was the first to pass 1 million points — and Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man.
>The 2007 documentary "The King of Kong" tells the story of another gamer's attempt to break Mitchell's first high score and portrays him as a cocky self-promoter. He also sells a line of hot sauces, Rickey's World Famous Sauces.
>A message left with Mitchell's New Jersey-based attorney was not immediately returned.

I thought him havinga big headwas just for show, but christ.

Wait, they won with this?

That's fucking excellent. I wish more judges could have this much fun when throwing out bullshit cases.
OK... So the rumor is Darkseid will go ahead and be the big bad in the first Justice League movie and as a result people are bitching, ok... so I ask...
WHAT WOULD YOU DO INSTEAD FOR JUSTICE LEAGUE PART 1 & 2?
PART 1
> White Martians, we aren't getting a proper Skrull movie in the Marvel Universe so fuck it, lets do the White Martians doing a Skrull type invasion.
> Have the Martian Manhunter bring the JL together to combat them, he has been around sense the 1950s, undoing their machinations all over the world, but now their endgame is in play and he needs help.
> J'onn is played by Mads Mikkelsen, Idris Elba or Lance Reddick.
> The transformations of J'onns and the White Martians are very gruesome John Carpenter's Thing type stuff will a healthy mix of Practical and CGI effects.
PART 2
> New Gods Crossover & Darkseid

No one likes your shitty topic, faggot
>Beauty and the Beast - Human Again
I don't hate the song in itself and the sequence would be fine on it's own as some sort of deleted scenes.
That being said, I've watched the special edition of Beauty and the Beast, at the most, 3 times because, I feel it kind of fucks up the rhythm & flow of the movie. First off, B&TB was not aching for another 'silly song'. Secondly, the song is kind of fucking redundant.. I can safely say that when I saw B&TB as a kid I never thought "Well, you know, I'm not really sure if the servants wanted to be humans again or not. If only there was some 'Be Our Guest'-esque rehash musical number just so I could be clear on this."
>The Lion King - Morning Report
Kind of the opposite of the last one. I don't care much for the song or the sequence but, it really doesn't seem terribly out of place and it doesn't mess with the movie's pace, in my opinion.
Unnecessary but I don't feel they are out of place or make the movies any worse. (or better for that matter)
>>77686212
I don't know m8, they're just additions. If they felt they were important they'd have included it in the film, maybe some of it was cut for reasons you mentioned and then put in the Special edition
>Was there any real point in those additions in Disney special editions of their movies?
extra incentive for you to buy something you likely already have again

>name one movie of a long gone cartoon series i am not going to watch.
Why is this bitch treated so greatly here? There are so many better /co/ little girls out there.
Because /co/ is depraved enough to fuck anything with at least one hole.
Well why don't you post some?

BACK STREET'S BACK ALRIGHT
I recently discovered Bob's Burgers. I've watched the first 3 episodes and I like it.
What does /co/ think?
Louise is a psychopath and will join Isis for the thrill.
Mediocre. First few eps were nice, but it isn't a very strong show.
Did the world really need another tepid family sitcom?
It's a shame Jon Benjamin is only getting recognised now for so-so shows like Archer and Bob's Burgers and not for stuff he pretty much improvised in Home Movies and Dr. Katz.
>>77684336
It's pretty good. Most of /co/ loves it. It takes a dip around season 4, but then gets a little better in 5.
Is she gonna be a recurring character in all Netflix MCU series?
>>77684161
they're probably just going to use one minor character from each show in the next
>>77684173
Nah, it makes sense for Claire Temple to be in all of them.
Is Susie Carmichael the whitest black girl to ever live?
Well she's voiced by Cree Summer
So yes.
>>77683359
She grew up in the suburbs. She's possibly the whitest, but she still has a dose of Neo-soul in her voice so not really.
>>77683359
She's a product of forced diversity in the 90s, which back then meant make ethic people rich, successful white people.
Crossovers where one of the shows was dead when it aired.
