Marathoning Venture Brothers.
In episode ORB, Kano says how he took a vow of silence as penace because he took a great man from this world, hinting that he killed Dr. Venture. Further alluding when Brock asked him and he went silent again. But he was already silent by the time of working for Dr. Venture, and we know Kano used to work for Blue Morpho before working for Venture.
Was Kano an accompliance in the murder of Morpho?
>>81247164
It's seeming that way.
The problem now is figuring out why Blue Morpho would need to be killed and how.
>>81248432
Morpho had an incredibly high bounty on his head from the Guild. I'm pretty positive it was Jonas and Kano who collected
while the two of them aren't exactly the pinnacles of righteousness, I doubt they'd kill one of their friends based on money alone, so its possible there's a secondary reason
as for the how, it was already confirmed he and Monarch's mom died in a plane crash, the same one that stranded little Malcolm in the woods and gained his obsession with butterflies. heck, the whole thing could have been an accident, and Jonas just took the opportunity to profit off his pal's death, who knows

Rusty killed TBM by being a stupid kid adventurer, just like he destroyed Gargantua 1's ray shield. Jonas and Kano just took the credit.
>"We've got this show about superheroes [where] we get to have fun with the idea of superheroes by starting with kind of a comedic parody of [an] event-oriented-like universe," creator Ben Edlund said. The Tick will be "darker and more grounded," with a "real story, a real hero's myth."
>Amazon's straight-to-series format allows The Tick to "go deeper into character and story," mimicking the "continuity" and "seriality" that comic books offer.

I was gonna get mad because of the headline, but Bed Edlund is attached, gives me hope.
>Darker and more grounded
Have these people seen a Tick episode before?

>DC signed an exclusive with Sam "Dogfucker" Humphries for their relaunch
DC's in real trouble, isn't it?

He's just a spy planted by Bendis.

What's wrong with Humphries?
May I ask to know some essential reading for the character of Darkseid? I kind of want to understand the character a bit more, I realized I'm not quite knowledgeable on him.
The Omega Beams are so goofy.
He was great at the end of Superman TAS. I think he appeared a few times in JL and JLU but can't remember specific episodes so just watch all of it.
For comics, not really familiar, other than Superman: Dark Side, an Elseworlds book. I'm more of a Marvel guy so I'm curious too for some reads with him.

Kirby's Fourth World Saga
Apologies in advance for the length of this post. I've always been more familiar with Marvel than DC. I'm somewhat familiar with the DC universe and most of the characters through the shows in the DCAU & BATB. I've also read a lot of Batman stuff. However, I haven't read any of the stuff like COIE or Final Crisis because I'd like to have a better baseline understanding of the universe & characters that aren't Batman, (& to a lesser extent Superman). So I started a reading list. I was wondering if I could get some recommendations to add to my list.
TL;DR Add good stuff to my DC reading list.
Hang on I'm typing the list up.
The Spectre. John Ostrander (#1-60)
Geoff Johns' JSA
Martian Manhunter. John Ostrander (#1-36)
Justice League International. Keith Giffen (vol.1-4)
The Question. Dennis O'Neil (#1-36)
Action Comics. Geoff Johns (#844-870)
Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow? Alan Moore
Gotham By Gaslight. Brian Augustyn

Standing by.
Is MCU Thor a bit too weak power-wise? Do you think he could use an upgrade?
Movies always downgrades power.

>goes toe-to-toe with weak-ass MCU Hulk
>>81244470
No, characters are rarely made better by becoming more powerful.

Nobody thinks this is still happening right?
I just don't get why they're giving such a shit character a solo, especially without Rogue.
He's Wolverine-lite and people remember the 90's
>>81243041
This. Rogue and gambit need to be together. And we need a better rogue desu. One with big hair and bigger breasts.
Because there isn't one. And becausetwitch tv whompronnie.
Why do people want to see a streamer's face so desperately
>>81242291
With chicks it's because 13 year olds. With Ronnie, who knows.
>>81242291
some are ok but there are way to many streamers and youtubers who insist on having their face take up 1/3+ of the screen usually covering something important. Shit like that makes it unwatchable for me even if its just on in the background on another monitor. Don't get me started on loud notifications and other shit the pops up whenever anyone subscribes or donates.
So how about that Civil War 2?
>>81241260
I know it is a variant cover but still
>medusa vs chulk
>Whor vs cap
>tony fighting carol in his normal armor
is Wanda throwing bikes at trucks for no reason?
The image looks like a complete clusterfuck, so I guess it's the perfect visual metaphor for Civil War II.
Standoff is the only Marvel event worth reading this year
