First, pick a cartoon.
Got it? You sure? Good. Now make a "Teen Titans Go version" of your cartoon. Is it now better or worse?

It's the original TT; it strays away from being TTGO
Basically a large mainstream publisher willing to print creator penned series. Something within other genres aside from the typical Marvel/DC fare.
Leaving creators to their own devices but still publishing their stuff on a near equal footing to the big two capeshit companies.
Independent comics that actually gain some notice actually do well, Ghostworld, Scott Pilgrim, Cerberus, Saga, Persepolis, Walking Dead, they all got some notoriety and mainstream attention. So it is not as if non cape comics do really badly.

Shonen Jump WAS published in the West retard
>wanting comics to be printed on toilet paper
Why does Identity Crisis get such a bad rap?
The only criticism I ever hear is because of the rape, the end, and how all the characters ended up depressed or suspicious of each other.
The rape is considered very triggering, and /co/'s favorite marysue the flash wasn't over powered for once.

the whole mystery that the plot revolves around is completely nonsensical
It didn't earn its ending and most of the main cast was frustratingly out of character. It created a shitty trend of "mature" naturalism in DC comics when it had finally emerged from the shitty trends of the 90s. That trend led to garbage like Cry For Justice.
What's so great about the show? I don't see the appeal.

Music (Only thing I personally like about the show)
Overarching story
Relate-able characters (apparently)
And a wide assortment of waifus to choose from, each with contrasting personalities and body types.
But really the music is amazing, it's by far the best thing about the show and the only reason I give a rat's ass about it.

What do you think of Darkseid War so far?
And have the other page, because whatever it's cute.

Big Barda and Mister Miracle are great.
Some of the Tie-ins are okay.
And the art is gorgeous.
Everything else is shit. Johns sets up a billion things and either does nothing with them or the pay-off is dull. Darkseid's Mary Sue Daughter sucks. Some of the ideas suck (Superman made evil/mean/jerk thanks to plot device for the billionth time.
This event should feel epic but instead it just feels convoluted and boring.
iys okay
what are anons thoughts?
is it the one of the only comics that hasn't been infected by esjaydubsitis and Goatse?

Now that the end is only about a year away, I'm actually pretty interested. There just seems to be an utter fuck ton of disorganized series and not much in handy collections and I like buying my comics.

...This is still going? Holy shit.
Is it still all available online? And is there a reading guide somewhere? I remember the timeline being... confusing.

Hard to have an opinion about something you haven't read.
>implying people don't talk shit abut stuff they haven't read all the damn time
In theory, it's hard to have an opinion of something you haven't read.
I was reading through Warren Ellis' Thunderbolts run and I'm really enjoying it. It's only 11 issues so I'm looking for recommendations on other Thunderbolts runs (I've read that's Ellis' run is the best one).
If anything I'd like a series where bad guys fight together for "justice". Not Suicide Squad V1 though, that's already in my reading list.
Ives read it all and I honestly think Ellis is as good as it ever gets. Parker's run isn't that bad though.
>>81904280
>I've read that's Ellis' run is the best one
This kind of triggers me because Warren Ellis' run on Thunderbolts is a departure from what came before it. I like Ellis' run but it's not really representative of the Thunderbolts as a series.
I would honestly start reading the T-Bolts from issue #1. The original art is very 90s but for the most part the whole series is good. I'd skip Fightbolts (#76 - #81) and the Marvel NOW! Thunderbolts (the team led by Red Hulk). The original Thunderbolts might not appeal to you - it's written as a comic from the late 90s early 00s and while it is good maybe that's too much of a separation in time and from Ellis' Thunderbolts. But the guy writing it, Kurt Busiek, is a great writer and the whole series still holds up pretty decently. I can all but guarantee if you do read through it you'll come out the other end a fan of Baron Zemo.

Alright, this makes sense.
Do I need to know anything before starting? Because for Ellis' run you need to know about Civil War, for example.
What are some of the better crossover events to read? Like, what would you recommend to someone specifically looking for them?

Re-think your life.
Infinity Gauntlet is probably the most universally celebrated event but /co./ happens to like CoIE more.

I know a better show about talking aircraft if anyone is interested.
Please tell me /co/ hasn't fallen for the memes and recognizes the poignancy of the "Martha" scene from BvS.
Was getting caught part of your plan?
Why did Superman refer to his mother by her first name?

The plot and setup of the big climax of the second act was just a big misunderstanding that would have easily been fixed if they had just explained themselves.
It's literally romcom-tier.
Name a better comic book writer.

I shall continue to insist that Aqua Teen is not actually cancelled until I wake up on January 1st, 2017.
They're playing us just like they have before. There was literally no reason for AS to cancel a still profitable show.
