Still the best South Park episode. Everyone loves it.

This, even though that's not the episode's name.
Wait, what's going on now?
>>84416358
To defeat King Radical's plan to Radicalize the universe, McNinja summoned Sparklelord to stop him. Sparklelord's price was to know McNinja's name, but unfortunately McNinja's name had earlier been used by his grandfather as a price to seal away one of Dracula's Ghost Wizards, at the cost of his grandfather's life. Sparklelord did not turn on Doctor McNinja after foiling Radical's plans, but his method of doing so turned all of Doctor McNinja's extant enemies against him. Now, united, all of Doctor McNinja's enemies (including an old clone of himself who hates him for having everything he once had) have united to destroy him once and for all.
I hope that was helpful.
>>84416465
So the problem is that the Ghost Wizard is now free?
>>84416489
The Ghost Wizard was in the process of cursing McNinja to suffering. Once free, he did so, which was also a cause for all of his enemies uniting behind him.
>>The vilest villain in all of the Marvel Universe is getting ready to take center stage this fall. Writer Jeff Lemire and artist Mike Deodato will chronicle the ongoing exploits of the Mad Titan in Thanos, a new series launching as part of Marvel NOW!
>>Thanos was solidified as one of the most dangerous villains of the Marvel universe in the 1991 event The Infinity Gauntlet. Since then, Thanos has menaced the galaxy again in the Infinity event, creator Jim Starlin has explored the character in a trilogy of miniseries – The Infinity Revelation, The Infinity Relativity, and The Infinity Finale – and Thanos’ origins have been revealed in the Thanos Rising miniseries. Meanwhile, Thanos has become part of the mainstream pop culture lexicon as the force scheming behind-the-scenes of the Marvel cinematic universe.
>>But the new Marvel NOW! series is sticking with Thanos for the long haul, following his new mission as he returns to the Marvel universe post-Secret Wars with plans to reclaim his position as an entity to be feared. ComicBook.com asked Lemire and Deodato what that means for Thanos, both as a character and a series.
>>Since coming on board at Marvel, you’ve been writing heroes like the X-Men, Wolverine, Moon Knight, and Hawkeye. How different is it writing one of Marvel’s biggest bads instead of their mightiest heroes?
>Jeff Lemire: It's completely different and completely refreshing. The main attraction to doing this book was being able to dive into the dark side and tell a totally different type of book set in the Marvel U that is from a villain’s point of view. It's forcing me to go to some new places with my writing and try new things.
>>What is it about Thanos that makes him so compelling a villain that he can carry his own series?
>JL: First off, I loved that this is an ongoing series, not a limited series. That opens up a lot of potential to establish long-term plans for Thanos in the Marvel U.
>>84416277
>As to what makes Thanos so compelling, the easy answer is that he is so powerful and so evil. This combination opens things up for a lot of story potential. But the truth is that it's Thanos' past that makes him so interesting. What motivates a god-like being like this? What makes him tick and what does he have left to fight for? These are compelling questions to me, and I think to the reader. But above all this series just has so much potential. Thanos can essentially become Marvel's Darth Vader...its alpha villain.
>Michael Deodato: I think he is one of the most enigmatic and scariest characters of the Marvel Universe. He is our Darth Vader.
>>What is Thanos’ mission statement in this new series? His attempt to capture the cosmic cube on Earth was foiled. Is he planning a second attempt?
>JL: I'm not spoiling that because Thanos' mission comes as a big reveal in issue 1. I will say that the cosmic cube is NOT involved. And there will be a very solid supporting cast in this series. A regular set of underused characters that will become very important to the series and to Thanos himself. Starfox, Nebula, and Thane will play key roles. And there are a few surprises as well.
>I’ve dived pretty deep into Thanos’ publishing history to draw inspiration for the series. Of course, it all starts with Jim Starlin, but I’ve also drawn from Keith Giffen’s run on Thanos as well as Jason Aaron’s Thanos Rising and the work Jonathan Hickman did in Infinity and elsewhere. I also took a good long look at Kieron Gillen’s Darth Vader series as a template for what could be done with an ongoing villain series.
>>We saw Thanos’ return to the Marvel universe in the pages of The Ultimates, but he seems to have come back changed. Somehow he seems even more nihilistic than before. How does this manifest in his mission and his methods?
>JL: All I can say is that this time around, Thanos has nothing to lose.

>>84416283
>>Without giving away too much, what can you say about Mistress Death's response to Thanos's return?
>JL: Death will play a key role in the series, but in a way that we have not seen before. Her relationship and connection to Thanos has changed since we saw her last and this will affect Thanos and many others.
>>What role will Thanos’ extended family play in the series? Not just Thane, but other Eternals? Will the Black Order have a role to play?
>JL: We will see some of The Black Order. But their allegiance to Thanos may not be what it once was.
>Thanos’ extended family will be central in the supporting cast. Starfox and Thane have major roles, as does Nebula. Starfox, in particular, has become really interesting to me. He’s such an underrated and underused character. He is Thanos’ brother and in many ways Thanos’ opposite. To me, this makes him a really central character in what I want to do. I’d like to shed new light on Starfox, add new depths to him and peel back that fun-loving surface layer and see what else is going on there. I think he is a pretty complex character.
>>What makes Mike Deodato the right artist for a Thanos series? What is the visual tone you're looking to achieve with the series?
>JL: Mike brings big, bold cinematic storytelling with an edge of darkness to it. As we saw with his work on Vader Down and Infinity, He is perfect for this series and the tone I want to strike. Very excited to be working with Mike! I had more fun writing issue 1 than I have writing anything in a long time. It is very fun to be very bad.
>MD: I love drawing villains. Dark Avengers and Thunderbolts are two of my biggest hits. I intend to bring the same level of darkness and evil in this new series.

So what was his deal?

He needed to compensate for his balding.
He was poorly written.

How come theres no batman themed songs thats not part a movie
I just started reading Punisher Max and found the first couple of storylines pretty good. Born was a generally good story and provided a good sense of what happened to make Castle capable of doing what he does.
Volume 1 seemed a pretty good way to reintroduce Castle after he became the punisher. We see a bit of what he does, we see that because he's good at what he does people want him to work for them and then we see how he reacts and strategises while the chips are down.
What I really want to talk about though is Kitchen Irish. It's not that I don't think it was a good story necessarily, but it wasn't a Punisher story. The plot seems much more driven by the Brits who are working alongside Castle to take down the Irish, that is when we are focussing on the protagonists. Most of the volume was about the Irish themselves and the dynamics between the rival gangs. While obviously it's important for us to know a bit about the dynamics between the gangs in Hell's Kitchen, it felt like The Punisher himself was an afterthought in this story. He barely shows up and when he does it seems like his British mate is doing as much if not more of the work.
I feel like Kitchen Irish was a way for Ennis to say what he wanted to say about "the troubles" rather than him trying to tell a punisher story. You can even see it fairly blatantly towards the end in the MI6 agent's speech to the captured IRA member that he's using the Englishman as a soapbox podium to say what he thinks about both sides of the war.
Like I say, it's not a bad story, but I buy Punisher for Punisher. I buy comics to see the titular character(s), not for the writer to go off on one about their homeland. It just Narks me off a bit.
Tell me, is there more of this crap in later volumes or should I keep reading?
>>84415553
>Most of the volume was about the Irish themselves and the dynamics between the rival gangs
>it felt like The Punisher himself was an afterthought in this story
First time reading Punisher?
>>84415776
Well yeah actually, but Born and Volume 1 didn't suffer from the same problem so it struck me as odd in volume 2 where we shifted completely away from Punisher for most of the book.
>>84415801
Punisher is kind of a force of nature that kills the criminals whose actions provide the premise for the story.
It makes sense to focus heavily on the villains since you KNOW they're going to die so you might as well tell their story while you still can.
And even Born was told from a second party's perspective, so you kinda disproved your own point there.
That said, Kitchen Irish probably is the weakest MAX arc.
Time for Smug Chinese Bully Superbro
What show would be changed the least were they gender flipped?
>>84414364
They would be canonically drunk boning each other time to time, girls have a more fluid sexuality. Also PB would probably be long and happily married and BJ would have had a string of divorces from rich and/or famous husbands.
Would female bojack be the hottest?
>>84415433
PB would be the pretty, sexy, fun girl and Bojack would be the beautiful, elegant, classy girl.
Could the plot be any more slow?
You know what's coming right?

Dear God, I pray unto you, Lord Jesus, to MAKE SOMETHING FUCKING HAPPEN ON THIS SHOW!
If a certain vampire doesn't completely fuck up a certain group of people heading to church in an orgy of supernatural violence and destruction, thus proving his worth to Jesse and cementing their friendship, I'm gonna give it away. I really will. Either that or stick around for some more of Tulip's fucking cooking tips.
Jesus fucking Christ this show is slow! Give me a fucking tidbit of a possibility that something will fucking happen!
It's like believing in God, it really is! Hoping and praying that something good will happen only to be given fucking nothing!
Jesus, Seth, if you wanna take fucking years to get to a point, do a fucking remake of Babylon 5, otherwise MAKE SOMETHING FUCKING HAPPEN!

If a Channel doesn't have a personality yet, then you can suggest ideas for one.
If a Channel doesn't have a design yet, then you can suggest ideas for one.
If a Channel has a personality and a design, then you can draw them.
If multiple Channels have all of the above, then you can draw comics of them interacting.

All of them. but mostly those who are /co/ related.

Blue Beetle/Booster Gold appreciation thread?
I for one love the duo and their original and stylish feel on the old Justice League and with their movie "announced" I could not be happier. What are your guys thoughts? Personally I think the entire extended Justice League should be included in the DCU, and this is the perfect way to do it. Zatana, Mr. Miracle, Red Tornado, Firestorm, Dr. Fate anybody? That's where DC could have the real huge jump on Marvel, WB has access to ALL of the DC characters (to my knowledge) so they could technically have a Justice League movie with dozens of members. Just like the JLU cartoon, the pinnacle of superhero production. It's not like Captain Boomerang and Slipknot weren't enough of a stretch already. I say bring on the 2nd (or 3rd) tiers DC! Even if it may take more than 10 years of (successful) movie making to get there.
Hell, even Plastic Man.
