So how do you guys think this will be?

I only watched the first episode of JJ, was he good there otherwise?

I just hope he has some kinda shout-out to his original costume, even if it's just a ripped yellow shirt.

Please don't make this a thread about how triggered you are that he tapped a white girl

Didn't care much about JJ, but I thought he was one of the best parts about the show.

Good actor, excited to see how the series will be.
>>
Honestly he didn't even really do anything in JJ. Just hooks up with her, they argue when he finds out about his wife, and then he disappears for 10 episodes until the end. I forgot he was in the show for a while, he basically didn't matter.
>>
I'm just like "snap Kilgrave's neck bro", but it's never that simple. Cue Luke Cage vs JJ battle.

First hinted at WonderCon.

Here’s the official solicit text for the upcoming comic, set to launch this Fall:

JESSICA JONES #1
BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS (W) • MICHAEL GAYDOS (A)
COVER BY DAVID MACK

She is back after a decade! A lot has changed in the Marvel Universe and there are still many secrets hiding in the shadows. Secrets only a special woman like Jessica Jones can hope to uncover. Discover the haunting secrets from Jessica’s past in this blistering new series. Alias Investigations is open for business.

32 PGS./RATED PARENTAL ADVISORY …$3.99

Excerpts from sauce (http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/07/11/jessica-jones-returns-with-new-comic-by-original-creators):

>"You're going to find out about it in the first issue. We're going to open up a book where Jessica's world has blown up in her face. She's at a place you'll least expect her. You're going to find all of her relationships have altered. And we're slowly going to find out why. I do like writing Jessica where we have to figure out 'why this has happened,” Bendis said in a phone interview, taking extra care not to spoil anything.

>The main reason Jessica Jones is getting a new book now instead of, say, last year alongside her show’s debut, is because Bendis wanted to wait until he could “get the band back together,” i.e., work with Gaydos on interiors and David Mack on covers, just like on Alias. With all of their schedules now in sync, the new series is a reality.

>"I've worked with other artists on Jessica and always enjoyed it, but in my mind she never looks and feels and breathes and smells more like Jessica than when Michael draws her,” Bendis said, recalling their long friendship and working relationship that started with them attending art school together.

>The reception of Jessica Jones’ Netflix show was generally positive across the board, but that doesn’t mean Bendis is changing the comic to be more like the show. The show and the comic take place in very different Marvel universes, so don’t count on Hellcat, Nuke and all of Jessica’s quirky neighbors suddenly popping up in the comic. However, the show’s impact on the comic is not lost on Marvel Comics Executive Editor Tom Brevoort.

>“That may find its way to the planet Earth for realsies eventually. Stay tuned,” Bendis said.

Well damn, I'm actually excited about a Marvel comic I guess. As long as he doesn't do anything stupid like break her up with Luke, I'm excited.

>Jess gets a Book

OH YE-

>We're going to open up a book where Jessica's world has blown up in her face. She's at a place you'll least expect her.

Oh, no. Marvel is gonna destroy the only good relationship in the whole verse.

Disney put the next episode up on demand. Perhaps this is a new trend for them. Here is a screenshot from the episode, which marks the return of the jackals. Since they can't really show a whole lot of biting, pretty much all of the animals fight by pouncing on top of one another and pinning them to the ground. Kind of weird, but it is what it is.

Episode is mainly about aardwolves, though only three of them speak for the most part. This girl and guy here, and another one voiced by Charlie Adler. Nice to see he's still getting work.

Just like last week, the on demand stream seems to have some compression issues or something, as usually, it's not so grainy. Or maybe it's just my shit computer doing something weird with the quality.

Did it really make business sense to kill Saturday morning cartoons? As bad as ratings were, I imagine that kids would much rather have cartoons (even if they were only shows syndicated from cable networks) than what they replaced the lineups with. Now the time slots usually belong to either bland, forgettable live action educational stuff or straight up infomercials.

Should have just made better shows.
>>
>>84409188
Government requires a certain amount of educational television either fit a grant our to be publicly broadcast. I can't remember.

But if they made more money than infomercials, they wouldn't have been replaced. My understanding is that action cartoons were made at a loss and merchandise made up the profits. Smartphones, vidya, and the internet impacted the action figure market considerably.
>>
Isn't it required for people to use cable for TV, giving people access to Cartoon Network, Disney, etc.? Not to mention the rise of video streaming services.

You can't know that. The regular Scooby Doo (not the current Apocalypse storyline) usually sell between 6-7000. But wasn't cancelled.

So are cartoons better now than before?

http://youtube.com/watch?v=qXpWAO0F7ck

Show like Steven Universe and Gravity Falls push the boundaries of western tv animation. We are now seeing these shows explore themes we've never seen explored on TV before. Not only that, the animation is beyond the stuff of what we had before. (See: SU, Star, SBT)

What are your thoughts?

I agree tb:h. We never got shows like Steven Universe and Gravity Falls that weren't based fully on pushing crap/recycling to the consumer as much as we do now.

>What is this thread?
Every Wins'day at Win-O'-Clock we gather here and post links to the latest scans and rips of comic books.
Most links we uploaded ourselves, others we are sharing from elsewhere.
Some comics we've even purchased ourselves (but most we didn't).
If you'd like to help out, just ask and we would be delighted to tell you how.
Otherwise, be patient, be polite, and understand the simple concept behind these words: Not posted means not available yet.

>Where can I find old Win-O'-Threads?
http://desuarchive.org/co/search/text/Official%20Win-O%27%20Thread/ (Note: This finds the OP for old threads. If you want to search for comics in the archive, clear the subject field!)

>Where can I find downloads for other comics?
Warez forums/blogs (like AvaxHome), DDL-indexing search engines (like Alluc), torrent trackers (like KickAss) and other P2P networks (like DC++).
If a link has been posted on 4chan, you can search for it in the Desu archive (add "http*" to searches to return only posts with links).
If all else fails, just >buy it.
