Should Santa be a super hero in comics book worlds. I like an on going of St nick having cosmic adventures during the rest of the year.
>>84429531
Santa is already a hero, every year on Christmas he goes to Apokalips just to troll Darkseid and Darkseid can do nothing to stop him.
I'd be cool if the wizard shazam was actually Santa during the holiday season.
>>84429619
But what does he do the rest of the year? Can he ever just chill out with his neighbor superman at the fortress of solitude.
Who's your favorite webcomic artist?
I personally really like owlturd. At first glance, he looks like one of those "lol, i'm so quirky XD" artists, but he's incredibly self aware and has an amazingly expressive arstyle.
It's not original, but Ashley Cope.
I seriously want to hug Allie Brosh and tell her everything will be okay
then as she worries and frets that writing a comic about her neuroses and problems has artificially called pity upon herself, I soothingly tell her that I'd feel exactly the same way even if she was a stranger
>>84429624
Yeah... When I was a kid I loved her comics about grammar and her style of humor... When I went back and reread her spiral into depression it was such a jarring experience...
I really hope she gets better as well
Could Nancy ever be redeemed?
No. She's a liar and a cheater. And knows she's a liar and a cheater. Feels bad occasionally about being a liar and a cheater. But continues lying and cheating anyways.
No.
>>84429795
She's a liar because she's living it at this point but she stopped cheating.
How do you feel about the fact that the best recent comics are Hanna Barbera reboots and a free KFC giveaway?

What's your favorite comic of the year so far? What are you looking forward to? I've been really surprised by The Fix.
>>84428829
Only Alan's parts of Cinema Purgatoria have been consistently good. The rest are mostly miss.
Vision has been good. Conan the Avenger had a good ending, and the Slayer looks pretty promising.
Sheriff of Babylon by a large margin for favorite this year.
Looking forward to all the Young Animal books, Snyder and Lemire's OGN, New Super-Man, the Six-Pack & Dogwelder and Midnighter & Apollo minis, and Snotgirl.
I actually haven't read shit from this year really but the first issue of Discipline was nice to look at. Might catch up since I dig the art but the story seems pretty whatever.
ITT: forgotten comics
>Catwoman's story during the time frame of Batman Year One including scenes from Year One retold from the perspective of Catwoman
Is it good?
>>84428474
It's not bad. It's the Year One version of Selina Kyle though, which some people HATE. If you don't mind that version of the character and you like late 80s "gritty realistic" DC then it's worth reading.
>>84428338
>ITT: forgotten comics
Like 99% of comics. They've been making this shit monthly since the late 30's anon. Plus the large majority of neo-/co/ is just /tv/ and /pol/ users here for capeshit threads that haven't read a single pre-1995 comic outside of Alan Moore and Frank Miller
Chinpokomon Go episode when?
man they'd better do this.
>>84428293
The plot is people getting run over by cars to catch chinpokomon at chinpokostops, the drivers are also playing and its easier for them.
>>84428293
But Chinpokomon died soon after launching in South Park's universe. Would this episode also mock the revival of 80s-90s fads culture?

These kind of OPs make me think of my one autistic friend who gives that kind of laugh because his primary exposure to society is through anime and cartoons, where people laugh like that. Also, humor-wise those posts are the equivalent of a laugh track.

are you making fun of 4chan or the movie
Why is it so bad when a cartoon references a meme, or uses slang?
It feels forced and awkward. It's like when a parent tries to speak like young people so that their child will think they're cool.
Because memes are a cancerous, very minimal effort form of comedy and using one in a show that's main appeal is supposed to be comedy shows that the writers are either running out of ideas, or just talentless hacks
>>84427811
Because it breaks the illusion that they are special things only meant for "us".
First they came for the Fantastic 4 and I did not speak out.
Because I was not fan of the Fantastic 4
Then they came for the x-men and I did not speak out.
Because I was not a fan of the x-men.
Then they came for deadpool and I did not speak out.
Because I was not a deadpool fan.
Then they came for me.
And there was no one left to speak for me.
>Because I was not fan of the Fantastic 4
Pleb. You get what you deserve.

>“Wonder Woman” hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
>Joining Gadot in the international cast are Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui. Allan Heinberg also wrote a bunch of comics for DC and Marvel.
