Now that the dust has settled can we all agree on Terry Long being the best normal husband any superheroine has had in printed media?
>>85885724
Is it really just the age thing or teacher/student relationship that makes people hate him?
Though I've heard he's supposedly Wolfman's self-insert, and that would be pretty creepy.

>Though I've heard he's supposedly Wolfman's self-insert, and that would be pretty creepy.
He definitely was.
Get out of here Marv.
What is /co/'s opinion on Top Cow? Old or new stuff.
I've been picking up a bunch of issues from a bargain bin and have been grabbing a lot of Top Cow stuff cause I've been liking a lot of it. If I see anything drawn by Sejic I grab that first, but because of that I've grown to like a lot of Ron Marz's other stuff (not all of it but a good portion). Also have been liking a lot of Matt Hawkings, I like having a good monthly dose of hard sci-fi in my pull.
What I've been finding in that bargain bin and really enjoying is:
>Tales of Honor
>Aphrodite IX
some of the later spin offs kinda sucked though
>The Magdalena
>Death Virgil
>Angelus
And found Ravine TPBs for sale too, fucking loved those.
And would like to get a Witchblade collection again, since the start of mine got stolen.

>enjoying Top Cowdung
I've only read Ron Marz's stuff, but I liked it even though I lost interest after the reboot.
Switch any good?
Also, it's too bad Magdalena couldn't last longer.
I really enjoyed it and I know it was a self-indulgent passion project for Marz.
Post their best and I'll check them out
I know nothing about them
Also I like Marz Kyle
>totally selfish
>boy crazy but in a mean, boys are toys way

That isn't a lasso. That's string.
>>85885349
Holy shit. Wow. Bye Cho.
That's better than all the Cho variants besides #4 tbqh (though I have the same problem with this as I did with his, they are so blank and not really dynamic). Overall they weren't his best work and knowing it was a bad environment kind of explains that.
And Cho's not dead, he's doing Trinity and Harley variants now

I really didn't understand this C&H comic. Could someone explain it to me?

The advice you're given when you see a bear is to play dead, so they lose interest in you. The guy saw a bear and played dead. The bear is traumatized because he thought he saw a guy suddenly die right in front of him.
>>85885099
One would expect playing dead would merely make a bear, creature we know to be a non-spaient wild animal, ignore you.
But unexpectedly it actually traumatizes the bear, who thinks he saw someone die in front of him, and he's talking about it to his equally anthropomorphic bear wife.

Is Tartakovsky the only respectable person left in the Western animation industry? Everyone else is just a pandering moron.
Yes.

This man made me want to get into making cartoons.
Do you ever feel like you're surrounded by a bunch of /co/mic Book Guys? Sometimes I hate myself and feel so embarrassed when I'm constantly around other adults that are so negative about stories and love to complain, doubly so when it's about children's media.
I feel like putting a bullet in my brain and in the brain of every guy here sometimes. I know I'm no better.
You are no better.
You are exactly who you described, but meta.
Worst thread ever.
there are probably way worse things about the people of /co/mblr than the fact that they complain about plot holes and poor production in cartoons.
a lot of them are fat and gay right off the bat.
>Joss fucking Whedon wrote and directed the most successful film in human history
Truly the nerds have inherited the earth. What a time to be alive.

>Joss fucking Whedon wrote and directed the most successful film in human history.
That's not James Cameron. That's not even J.J. Abrams.
>>85884871
Directors have a harder job
Even though I love Steven Universe, it's missing what a lot of /co/ related stuff I like is missing: good character conflict. I understand in children's media it has to be wrapped up neatly or be this melodramatic thing about saving someone, but I'm looking for stuff that isn't bullshit drama and actually has real conflict between characters because they have differences and different needs to assert or approaches to issues.
Legend of Korra is an example of a show that did this horribly most of the time because conflict was introduced for stupid romantic reasons, just like DC and Marvel do all of the time.
Is /co/ just the wrong genre to try and find good and natural character conflict?
No, there is some good ones if you look. Like Batman and the Joker in TAS. The problem has more to do with the main character. Steven is mostly fight everything with love.
Pretty much every modern cartoon is filled with dumb Degrassi level romance shit. Why is this a surprise?
>>85884853
Oh yeah trust me i know I won't find it in SU. SU is fun for other reasons but it's absolutely stupid as hell in character conflict and as an adult I'm not expecting it to be any less.
I liked it in Bojack, for example, and I have liked some comic examples, especially when the Bat family had conflict with each other. They seem to be trying to stamp that out though and make everyone get along. I haven't looked in to the new JLA though. I'm looking for friends that understandably fight, people with different ideologies clashing but it not being this giant sworn enemy thing, stuff like that.
>that feel when we could have the perfect suit
>>85884800
I'm guessing that's the mid-movie upgrade for the retractable arm-pit webbing. I wouldn't think they'd need mocap nodes for that.
>>85884960
It's actually the original suit they were going for in civil war.
>>85884800
>Raised webbing
I liked it with the Rami suit/s, but I feel as if the more usual, non-intended/raised lines are best, or at least look a bit more accurate when it comes to Tom's costume. Still looks good though.
