I have a serious question
What if Commissioner Gordon discovered that Batman molested boys but he only did it like..a couple of times a year.
Would he either:
A.Turn him in
B.Just warn Batman to stop
C.Turn a blind eye since he saves Gotham
I had a 2 hour stupid discussion about this with some friends and I just need /co/'s input.
>>94780788
He'd find it morally offensive, unless the boy in question had very pale skin and green hair.
"WHAT IN THE DAMN HELL BRUCE!! YOU CAN RAPE CHILDREN BUT YOU CAN'T RAPE THE JOKER?!"
>>94780788
Batman! If I dress up the Joker as a young adolescent school boy, will you finally rape him?!

>The Joker is a comic book character with almost 80 years history, half of which he was portrayed as homosexual. For instance, in such significant graphic novels as Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns or Grant Morrison’s Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth. Neal Adams claimed that The Joker was and always had been homosexual. This opinion was shared by other comic books authors and artists for decades. That is why it’s so important to me and other queer readers to return his homosexuality.
>The Joker repeatedly confessed his feelings to Batman and showed an interest in other men. Also there was Joker’s unnamed boyfriend in the graphic novel Devil’s Advocate. The Joker has many feminine traits - he uses lipstick, paints his nails, wears high heels and sometimes does crossdressing. We realize that some of these things is stereotypical, but it gives a very clear picture. Over the years, there were plenty of other queer moments in comics, cartoons and video games (especially in Batman: Arkham series).
>However, in the late nineties someone decided to erase Joker’s homosexuality and introduced Harley Quinn as his girlfriend (by the way, Harley was made up for the Batman: The Animated Series to replace the Joker in one scene, in which he was supposed to jump from the cake in drag). In the mass consciousness Harley became his only love interest, although in canonical comics there is no evidence that there are romantic or sexual feelings from the Joker’s part. His enforced relationship with Harley Quinn looks like an attempt to retconned his homosexuality and turn him in acceptable straight man.
>DC Comics already has a great cast of queer characters - heroes (Batwoman or Midnighter), as well as villains (Harley Quinn or Poison Ivy). Maybe some people don’t want to see the “terrible villain” as part of the LGBT community. But on the other hand, in Gotham series The Penguin became gay without any problem, and he is morally no better than the Joker. It’s not homophobic to have a queer villain. So why not let the Clown Prince of Crime "out of the closet"? DC Rebirth is an excellent reason to bring the Joker back to his roots.
>We ask DC Comics to restore The Joker’s homosexuality in comics and other media. No one’s sexual identity should be changed, even it’s only a fictional character. Because sometimes fictional characters is something real people hold onto.https://www.change.org/p/make-the-joker-gay-again

If those costumes are anything to go by, then they went color blind a long time ago.
Why so many people dislike Chuck Jones Tom & Jerry?
I know it's different than original series but it's also great in Chuck Jones unique style
And it's very funny
>people hate Will Hanna and Joe Barberra because "muh cheap copy/paste cartoons"
>but they think their version of Tom and Jerry is best

HE is Best Boi.
How come Iron Man's popularity in the flicks never translated in the books?
>inb4 B-lister
Sure, but he has some very interesting qualities. He's one of the few industrialist characters, he deals with both technobabble and espionage, plus corporate wars. It can have both "human focused" stories and sprawling tech-epics. You can put him in space or in the future.
I mean, the old books were doing just fine, and after CW he was in a very interesting place, so why did everything go to hell once the MCU came along? Did the writers stop trying? Why didn't Marvel try to market him better? Why allow Bendis to completely destroy the property?
>>94778636
Well, you obvious didn't read his director of SHIELD stuff. That was a great examination of his character. The dark reign stuff was also okay. The biggest problem was the same problem that Captain America had during the reign and post-Reign, it's in fact a problem which has lasted a while. Bendis and nothing having any consequence any more. After everything went back to the way it was, Fraction just tried to find a way to make Stark work. Then after that, you had the Gillen run which unfortunately had to tie in Bendis' clusterfuck that was GOTG. Then you had the Hickman disaster where Tony and the rest of illumanti became amoral monsters.
>>94778883
>Well, you obvious didn't read his director of SHIELD stuff.
>pic related is from the Knauf Bros run
>DoS run from ~2005 until 2008
Post MCU anon, Post MCU...
Marvel gave him to Bendis because they know that Iron Man should logically be their Batman, selling 100k units and being a selling point in and of himself and having multiple books, and even headline grabbing gimmicks like "Tony is adopted!" and "Superior Iron Man" were not doing anything for sales.
So they set their biggest name loose on the book and let him do whatever he wants hoping he can turn him around, and it worked for about three issues.
I don't think Fraction or Gillen's runs were particularly bad, but the art was horrid and the decompression was bad even by modern cape standards, leading to the books feeling like they didn't have much value.
I'd also like to add that while normies love Iron Man more than any other character, casuals who want to get into comics don't seem to particularly like him more than Cap or Thor. I've seen a lot of moviefags in stores wanting to get into comics, but the books they're drawn to are Cap, Thor, GotG, whatever the latest movie is, and events.
We can all agree this is the best episode, right?
No.
Xavier reminds me a lot of a greifer I played D&D with once

It's good; amusing side characters, two very likeable leads and a lil' more complex story than what Disney is used to do.
