I calculated that if you get at least a million or two by investing a thousand bucks a month over 20 years. Of course thats your investments grow 6 or 8% every year.

This of course grows exponentally if you increase the amount of money per month.

Why arent most people doing this? Do addittional fees not included in my calculations make it impractical or is keeping 6-8% ratio impossible?

It seems rather easy way to get wealthy, at least on paper. Too good even, there must be something beneath the surface

Investing is hard
t. /rgt/
>>

It's easy if you are disciplined in saving and moderately sensible about investing. I did it.

It's really hard if you habitually spend more than you make, if you fall for the latest investing fads (hello, cryptocurrencies), pick your stocks from something somone mentioned on 4chan, treat the stock market like it's a lottery, dive headfirst into complex strategies (mostly involving derivatives), panic at the first sign of trouble, get greedy near the top of the market, and steadfastly refuse to learn from your mistakes.

Regrettably, there are a lot of people like the second description.
>>
>>1971775
Lots of people live beyond their means and don't know that you're supposed to save 10-20% of every pay check if you don't want to be a slave forever.
(((They))) like it just fine this way, so our culture glorifies wasteful spending and mindless consumerism.

Ebay phone verification question

These are my current limits:
209more items
1,291listed and sold / 1,500 limit on quantity of items

$1,634.36 more
$32,349.64 listed and sold / $33,984.00 limit

To increase these they need a phone call. I would like to avoid this. This is an aged account. 100% positive feedback. More than 10yrs old. I know that sometimes they increase limits automatically when one approaches the limit.

Has anyone ever heard of limits getting increased automatically at this high level? I guess I could list 200+ items more and see what happens.

I got a thing through from a guy earlier today.

He said he'd pay me £500 a week to post 4-10 ads a week, he'll provide pics/details for the ads and all I have to do is forward messages from the buyers to the guy.

This seems fishy, is this actually a thing or am I being right to steer clear?

When did you realize that the skill of sifting through 4chan to find actual advice is the most valuable thing to have?

The way 4chan operates, the 'authority factor' doesnt exist. This factor is seen in reddit's karma system, and in real life can range from status to good looks. Majority of people cannot think for themselves, so they need this authority factor as a crutch to make decisions in their life. These people are so easily manipulated, because they appeal to hivemind activity, and more importantly they are blind to their own conscience.

When you can effectively differ good advice from bad, jew slayer from goy, millionaire from pajeet purely on text alone, you can apply this skill to every aspect of life, and ultimately you realize how important listening to your own conscience really is.

it's true, 4chan, for all the BS, is the best source for info on the web. It's always ahead of the culture.
I got into bitcoin and ethereum because of 4chan, and that alone has paid off my mortgage.
>>
>>1970714

BS exists anywhere - seeing order from chaos is the best skill
>>

Well said. The ability to sift through information, in the fucking information age is an extremely important skill to have.

Most people try to automate this by going on Reddit and having hivemind information fed to them, or watching news and having (((important information))) fed to them.

There are flaws in both of these traditional methods, because although hiveminded information can be good for certain niches (for example getting a good value computer monitor), it can be abysmally bad for general life advice (look at these statistics, get into debt, and become a wageslave like the rest of us).

Information from the news media is an open channel to the interests of the company & contributors, and in 99% of cases is a waste of time that doesn't affect your life.

4chan however is filled with a lot of shit, but the content I view is unrestricted, so I can find what applies to my predicaments/situation and apply it accordingly.

Nigga it's priced as if the original eth from the crowdsale was worth 110$ a piece and the devs have literally 50% of the coins, also it's vaporware. It's been on liqui for a while and I still don't understand how people are buying vaporware at an insanely high price when the devs can just dump on them at any moment.

>colleagues at work found out I still live with my parents
>been called "mama's boy" for the past 3 months

I save close to $10,000 a year by not renting and all my other work colleagues are in debt and in expensive mortgages to the brink of bankruptcy, and yet I still don't quite understand why I'm feeling extremely humiliated and depressed by being called "mama's boy".

Why am I feeling this way?

>haha just move out and be independent and stronk goy, don't you agree those parents stop you from having *fun* like having sex with anyone you want and doing drugs all night?
>just leave your parents house and go to college as soon as possible so true educated niggers and marxists can teach you what proper morality is while you suck nigger dick and snort coke

The attempts to dismember families at ever earlier periods simply helps the Jewish power brokers keep us isolated, weak, and addicted to outside stimuli.
>>
Because you're a mama's boy leeching off his parents at a point where he should be living his own life.

Saving money is good and living beyond your means is bad, but you still have to live your own life.
>>
>>1970090

Because they're trying to shame you and it's working.

Try to take solace in the fact you are saving money, and also able to be around to help your parents out with chores and other stuff. It's not like you're married with kids, so who gives a shit?

Thank you for posting BitBay in the OP. I was going to shill my heart out for it. It's amazing how things are shaping up with it and at this point I think the only thing scaring away new money is the fact that it isn't being aggressively marketed yet. It is also a bit Shit to use on a Mac but the client isn't ready for normies anyways so that's fine with me for the next 6 months or so.

I have high hopes for BitBay. It just needs a better ui and faster development, but im also fine with waiting.
