So I have 5K USD ready to invest in a crypto. Most of my attention for the past weeks has been dedicated to Ethereum and am close to getting pulling the trigger.
Is now the time to invest or should I wait for a further price drop.
Also is there any other cryptos I should be looking into?

posw for medium term
Buy the LEPEN dip.
Weak hands are out. Will pump harder for second round of the French election.

First, make sure you have 6 months of living expenses saved up. Then make sure you have a vanguard account with 80% of your money in total stock market index. Once you've done that, any extra money can be spread into multiple other investments. But make sure you don't ever put more than 5% of your entire portfolio into virtual currencies (or any 1 company for that matter).
>not loading up on POSW during the dip the weekend before they get listed on Bittrex and Coinomi wallet
The ship hasn't set sail yet but departure is soon.
>>1986585
>the weekend before they get listed on Bittrex and Coinomi wallet
source?
>>1986585
yeah, nocoiners r big dum dums if they font buy right now
>>1986587
Coinomi was confirmed in the slack, Bittrex is just speculation but highly likely based on what the devs have been saying. They're also coming to CoinPayments (pic related, from the April newsletter yesterday)
Yo, biz, I'm pretty new in crypto world but from what I understand bitcoin can't inflate as a currency. Can you explain why we see multiple price drops then? Why would it drop if theoretically its price should only grow?
And also I have few K to spare , should I buy btc for it now or should I wait for another magic price drop?
it's more than just a currency. it's an asset that people speculate on.
it can't inflate beyond a certain point, although it is inflating now at a diminishing fixed rate. However demand is exceeding supply, so the price goes up.
>>1986586
So it could theoretically go down once supply exceeds demand but it shouldn't happened next 3-12 months 4 sure but due to speculation there's always a possibility of unexpected drop that cant be predicted
>>1986600
there have been lots of times where some government or other imposed some regulation, or some exchange fucked up, and the price has nosedived. anything can happen, don't gamble what you can't afford to lose.
Since oil is down I'm thinking this might be a good time to stock up on oil ETFs. Sooner or later there will be a new oil crisis and it should pay off. Since europe is much more dependent on hostile countries I imagine it will be hardest hit, as usual.
Do you guys know any oil-related ETFs that might moon in that case? Maybe related to Brent princes? Those I know of (UCO, OIL, USO) all seem to be mostly tied to US oil prices/production.
>>1986557
*Brent prices, not princes. Though the idea is amusing.
Im also interested in etfs. But more thinking about gold/ US or AUS. Im unfamiliar with etfs in general tho. Any info on how to get started?
>>1986557
oil is a sinking ship in the long term, that's not to say you can't make money, but i'd avoid like the plague.
just curious

Creativity is a myth. Most artists work along very restrictive formal guidelines, the notion of spontaneous inspiration revealing genius-novelty is a idea that emerged in the 19th century and has desecrated the arts ever since.
The easiest way to be an artist and therefore creative is to always be researching and practicing your medium.
So, how does this apply to business? It means being constantly informed, questioning current logic. What I'm saying is you can seek novel and original solutions to problems by still using the analytical parts of your mind.
Oh and learning an instrument, a second language, or having a mentally stimulating hobby that introduces you to alien concepts allows a lot of conceptual cross-pollination. Suddenly you start to see how a process used in the toothpaste manufacture can be used in tomato paste manufacture, or road car aerodynamics and the hull of a ferry.

idk as some guy that owns a plumbing company
>>1986494
No creativity is required to OWN a business.
If you plan on starting and running a business you need a fair bit. I'd rate it a 38 on the McDonaldson Scale of Creativity Importance in Your Prospective Career, or the MDSCIYPC for short.
How much creativity would you say you have, using the Unified Creativity Metric and Aptitude Test? (what's your UCMAT score?)

So what's the gimmick with this thing? Why is it better than eth, btc, xrp, or xmr?
What does it do? What does it have going for it?
So far without researching it, all I can discern is that it has an army of shills.
>>1986493
It's not special. It's literally a meme coin designed by an autist. A complete an utter roll of the dice turned into a pump and dump shitshow that has monster sells in the books ahead. I'm still going to buy it at 20 sat tho.

I just spent 400 dollars on prostitutes in 2 days. Am I fucking idiot or am i doing good for my well being?
Did you find them on the street corner like that?
>$400 on women you've never met
>am i doing good for my well being?
are you asking if that's healthy? no
are you asking if that's a good use of money? no
are you a fucking idiot? yep
>>1986465
Depends on how much money you have. This place is filled with a mixture of prudes, virgins, and teenage angst so don't take anything they too say seriously on morality.
What does /biz/ think of an app that lets people know if other people in the immediate vicinity are open for a face to face chat? Its like a dating app but not really for dating and unlike other apps where you arrange to meet later, it searches for people right next to you that wants a chat? pic unrelated
why would I ever want to chat with a random person though? maybe if you matched people based on interests or something, but just totally random, idk.
i feel like it would just be exploited by creeps and muggers
i guess you could require accounts to be verified but nobody is gonna give anything more than their facebook account and thats easy to fake.
>>1986330

I work at a major exchange and have info about when a certain shitcoin will be listed. This shitcoin is a major player in that its ICO raised tens of millions, and us listing it will see a huge pump in price. I'm not normally privy to this information as I am in support, so I've never done anything like this.
I'm wondering whether you guys think it's safe to stock up on another exchange? I want to put in a lot, but providing verification could get me caught.
Why don't you tell me what coin it is and I will buy it for you bud
>>1986090
I have no problem telling /biz/, but no one will believe me and it would just get everyone calling me a shill. It's not like you're going to invest because of some anon post.
Looking for general guidelines on how to get away with stocking up large amounts prior to a pump without being identified. Not interesting in appearing to be another shill.
I'll proxy for 10BTC
Buy the dip while you can. Were going higher next time.
