It's a riskier coin, but the idea behind it is VERY promising if it pans out. Once the nodes go online we will see it either go to the moon or blow up on the launchpad and all our faith is supposed to be put into a masked dude and some supposedly smart but poorly spoken pajeet...

Although, legend tells that this coin is imbued with the spirit of the masked man's dead mother. Probably in some government experiment to try and put people's souls on the chain to ensure our immortality through smart contracts and AI. So with that blessing, this coin will reach levels beyond which even the likes of Facebook or Google have seen. The system has been called "unhackable" by some names in the industry but we'll still have to see the white paper come out.

All honesty its not too bad. It depends on market conditions, whether it's the ore or refined form (former has been on a natural gas price trend, later is on a steep speculative rise), while not exactly the best commodity for backing, it does have solid value in industrial (manufacturing as finish,components in turbines reactors drill due excellent heat tolerance).

I'm not saying the metal and coin are inherently worthless. However it's terrible market for when things are bearish since this relies on new orders in construction, material, aeronautics, also do association of insignificant amount used as nuclear fuel I have worries the purified stock can maintain it's current market price. My prediction is that litecoin is gonna get dumped short term. Depending on the scale of the dump it can either remain an underdog or bounce back fast. However keeping in mind that it's on coinbase there should be enough buyers to keep it from severely crashing to the point of no return. And in the long run if the funds into the crypto market keep flowing at the same rate you mat expect some tasty gains.

Technologically wise litecoin is superior to bitcoin atm in terms of speed (SegWit) and making sure chinks with ASICs don't centralize mining. However the user end advantage only comes when people are using it for insta transactions like cash, which would be for example IRL trading at a bazar. On the internet it doesn't matter if you receive your money in 1 minute or 3 hours. So what litecoin needs to become truly competitive is a mobile app.

As for short term investment strategies - Wait for a pump for ltc and convert back into ethereum.
