This is what will take us from the world of Memecoins to the world of getting paid in Crypto.

Once Eth enters POS and Casper goes live, combined with stakes in Monaco you will be able to live on the bleeding edge of modern currency.

I'd recommend putting a bit of money in. Don't go hard, since Eth is the real end game still. But this is definitely a solid choice to diversify into.

In a few years there will be someone posting a thread showing off their black card and you'll think "I was there when that happened"

Remember, once crypto goes mainstream EVERY coin will skyrocket. All of them will hit the moon and beyond when all the joe shmoes, Daves and Jeff Banks are putting their pennies down.

This is something we all need to get in on, every coin benefits from something like this going mainstream.

Why is there a citizenship inquiry for the crowdsale? Crypto newfag here. And why bar US citizens from participating? I also see a lot of sites where you can buy BTC don't accept US citizens buying from them but still take USD. What gives?

Segregated Witness (SegWit) is one of the biggest upgrades to
Bitcoin since its inception and miners are stalling the activation
for selfish reasons. Luckily we can activate SegWit without the
miners, back to p2p roots. A particular node version is gaining
support right now which is BIP148, a user activated soft fork
enabling the activation of SegWit without miner signaling.

I think this is the biggest deal in crypto right now and it requires
the participation of everyone who believes in bitcoin. If you run
or can run a server with a bitcoin node, please consider
making this activation go smooth by running a BIP148 node.
BIP148 nodes will activate SegWit by August 1st, processing new
SegWit transactions which will still be valid to legacy nodes
(NOT a hard fork).

Here are BIP148 binaries for easy setup:
https://uasf.bitcoinreminder.com/

And the repo for the BIP148 source code:
https://github.com/UASF/bitcoin/tree/0.14-BIP148

Note that the BIP148 version is not the master branch, that link
is for the BIP148 branch.

Here is more information on BIP148:
http://www.uasf.co/

I can help people in comments or answer any other questions.
SegWit must be activated on Bitcoin and we cannot let miners
stall this any longer. SegWit WILL be activated by August 1st
and your by running a BIP148 node you help ensure it goes
smoother and safer.

Newfag here. I've opened a Coinbase account and want to invest wisely in crypto, but I can't tell the good advice and recommendations on /biz/ from the shills.

Is there some twitter guru or blogger or anyone sharing his crypto wisdom online that you truly respect and think is worth listening to? Who, and where? I want to sit at the feet of this ninja expert master and get the benefit of his views.

It seems to me that there is a rift emerging between long time investors in BTC who look upon alt coins with derision and the opposite, investor (presumably more recent ones) who favour alt coins over BTC deeming it a soon to be outdated model. Of course the matter isn't so black and white its just something to keep in mind as people may express confidence in one and not the other and so their trading advice may not put as much weight in the behaviour of the BTC market when considering alts (This maybe a more recent thing as the negative correlation between the two is not as prevalent.)

In either case there are some people worth while following twitter.

Alvin Lee seems to be alright and his blog posts on crypto trading is/was posted on the Crypto general on biz. From here you can just check out the people he likes and follows and see what you can find.

Its also worth following big names in Crypto like Vitalik (ETH), Barry Silbert (ETC, Coindesk), Nick Szabo (early dev of CC and has a lot of interesting ideas in general publish a heap of essays), You get the point.

Trading view is also useful as people publish various TA predictions on there which can be useful for a second opinion. https://www.tradingview.com/chart/XRPBTC/. Its fairly easy to follow and use. Say if you want to search the trend of a coin compared to BTC on polo search Poloniex:STEEMBTC for example and it will come up with that.

Also /biz/ is useful but as you seem to know be wary. There are some people here who just want to use you to buy up their bags on their next PnD (there was talk of a /biz/ pnd discord group basically doing this) as with all boards on 4chan not everyone has your best interests in mind. That said I have had some good advice here before and where to put my money next when I was starting out last year.

I hope this helps in some way.

I have a successful drop-shipping site and been running it for a couple of years now.

I'd highly recommend online sources for how to make effective copy-writing for facebook ads. Traffic and sales are the lifeline of any online business and with proper copywriting experience you could make sales from FB with minimum expense.

wait for it to dip a bit more and then you just sell everything to take a massive loss. That was your plan right?
