Anyone here with experience with the Icelandic market?
I am especially interested in their exports, their hospitality market, and their Food & Beverage market.

What can you tell me about it?

Icelandic guy here. Iceland's biggest growing export right now is tourism, which is ruining the country for the local population. The restaurant business here is pretty interesting, they are more americanized than other Scandinavian countries (They have KFC, Taco Bell etc., which you won't find in Norway/Sweden/Finland). Also more way more obese people than you'd see in those other 3.

Feel free to ask any specific questions.

Thanks m8.
One of the things I wonder is about the average "spending culture" of Icelanders. It might sound like a stupid thing, but it makes a lot of difference when you are trying to do business with someone. I wonder if Icelanders are generally willing to spend and invest money in new business opportunities (like exporting to a new country).
Also, do Icelanders like importing foreign things? Things like buying foreign food, or going to foreign-themed restaurants...

>biggest growing export right now is tourism, which is ruining the country for the local population.
As a Barcelonian Spanitard, I would advise Icelanders to not let tourism take over their economy. Having a little bit of it is okay, but here it almost completely substituted our industries, and depending on it is shitty as fuck.

>I wonder if Icelanders are generally willing to spend and invest money in new business opportunities (like exporting to a new country).

Short answer: yes. Icelandic businessmen were notorious for this leading up to the financial crisis of 2008.

>Also, do Icelanders like importing foreign things? Things like buying foreign food, or going to foreign-themed restaurants...

Yes, very much. And especially American things. You'll see Range Rover's everywhere in Iceland. I.E. the example with KFC and Taco Bell. Dominos Pizza started in Iceland years ago, and Icelandic businessmen have actually gone to Sweden and Norway and started up Dominos there recently (2014). Heck, we even have Costco now.

I buy on a small Australian exchange, they recently added Ripple and allowed people to buy with AUD.
It was crazy, normies had no fucking idea what they were doing and were brain, easily buying, the price shot up to $13 and I furiously began moving my ripple out of poloniox.
Buy the time it arrived sanity had prevailed and the price was back down to $0.30 but I still saw on the most recent trades window people getting away with daylight robbery and selling hundreds of dollars of Ripple for twenty times the price,

So those minutes when I was waiting to transfer, watching the price spike and collapse again were very painful

Not going to lie. Pissed at Coinbase. Tried multiple times to buy BTC when it was down and all the transactions flopped. Even had confirmation screens. Tried to buy ETH and went through instantly and showed up on my bank statement immediately.

Wth good is a trading platform if you can't even go in at the right time??? Since that fuckery, literally during the time trying to get it to work, the BTC shot right back up over $100 USD. Fuuuuuuu.

Needed to vent. Fuck Coinbase.

Major banks throughout the world are replacing humans with AI robots to execute high speed trades and service customers

http://www.trunews.com/article/major-banks-replace-humans-with-ai-for-trading-and-services

(VERO BEACH, FL) During a recent interview with the Financial Times JP Morgan’s head of global equities electronic trading shared that the the world’s biggest investment bank will soon be deploying a "first-of-its-kind AI robot" to conduct high speed trading.

“The AI — known internally as LOXM — has been used in the bank’s European equities algorithms business since the first quarter and will be launched across Asia and the U.S. in the fourth quarter,” Daniel Ciment told the FT.

Mr. Ciment added that the European trials for LOXM have showed that the pricing achieved was “significantly better” than its benchmark. LOXM is a specialized AI system designed solely to execute client orders with maximum speed, at the best price, by using lessons learnt from billions of both real and simulated past trades. The FT explained that the system is powerful enough to tackle problems such as how to best offload big equity stakes without moving market prices.

A member of JP Morgan’s European Equity Quant Research team noted the distinct possibility that this AI system could eventually replace its human counterpart. “Such customization was previously implemented by humans, but now the AI machine is able to do it on a much larger and more efficient scale,” David Fellah told the FT.“The machine is restricted in it’s trading behavior, as it learns under, and operates within, our general electronic trading risk framework, which is overseen by internal control groups and validated by regulators.”

people have been bitching about 'program trading' for the past 40 years.
rest assured that AI will never outperform humans on an individual basis in a market that is constantly changing

What's the best book on learning SEO and what is the best forum in your eyes to get started? I've heard BHW is filled with Pajeets now.

Thank you guys.

SEO is for pajeets because it's free. Paid advertising is where you want to be and it's called "media buying". You can check out the media buying section of BHW (less pajeet shit cause it costs money), or you can buy a STM account ($100/mo)

You can check out
>>
BHW is full of pajeets but is still the best resource for SEO information. Places like warriorforums are full of scammers and crap resellers.
>>

Is SEO really complicated to learn? From what I've gathered, it all comes down to keyword researching and getting backlinks (the only tough part).

Hell, Yoast SEO does almost all of the work for you.

So we all heard about 12.20pm UTC etc. etc.

Basically nothing was scheduled to happen at that time. The fork will occur 7 blocks after 12.20pm UTC

i.e. it will occur at Block #478559

According to https://blockchain.info/home

Only 5 blocks have been mined since 12.20pm UTC

So we still have about 10-20 minutes to go before anything actually happens.

Right now all this movement you newbies are seeing is speculation.
