ARE YOU READY? ARE YOU MOTHERFUCKING READY? YOU DON'T SEEM READY.

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN, AND THOUGH ONLY TWO OF YOUR FELLOW FAGGOTS GOT THEIR SHIT TOGETHER AND WENT DOWN TO OKLAHOMA LAST YEAR ROCKING THE TOURIST TACTICAL, THIS YEAR IS THE YEAR OF THE SLAVSOFTER: WE'RE GOING TO MILSIM WEST AS COSSACKS.

The event will be held OCTOBER 21-23 IN PERRY, GEORGIA AT THE GUARDIAN CENTER, the same AO that American Milsim held Op Ironhorse back in February. Required atire is a full tracksuit, preferably of Adidas make or other cheap knockoff. We'll try to get a group-buy for Mockba sneakers as well.

The goal is to be there and sorted before noon on the 21st to make ample time for final checks and go on last second store runs. So far there are two planned carpools: one coming from New England and the other coming from Chicago. The Chicago carpool will be able to pick up anyone landing at the Atlanta airport with some modest contribution to gas and rental.

IF YOU WANT IN ON EITHER OF THOSE, OR THE EVENT IN GENERAL, JOIN THE /ASG/ SKYPE GROUP:

>>

>FNX gbb which isn't made by Cybergun
They're actually made by VFC (Also known as Stark Arms for their Glock replicas). Cybergun is the same as ASG or Umarex, in which they don't actually make any guns themselves and instead just slap branding on them at a mark up.

For example; Cybergun sells G&G, VFC, WE, and Dboys SCARs all under the FNH brand.
>>
>>1406401
That's the thing, I don't want to pay money for a brand I don't give a fuck about, I'd much rather prefer a WE brand one for cheaper, I don't really care if the slide doesn't say FN Herstal on it

>>
>>1406485
Don't really have a preference for it because I dislike the feel of rock-in mags, but it'd be cool to see.
>>
>>1406666
Only thing I dislike about rock-in magazines is that everyone seems to make a different kind of an AK magazine and it is just stupidly fiddly to get my king arms magazines to fit into my Cyma AK.
I kind of want an RPK because LMG is one class of weapon I don't have yet. I don't like the long magazines of it though, I would have to get a drum.
Also I heard Cyma's RPK's rear sights tend to fall off or something.
>>
>>1406544
weeaboo-core
>>
>>1406465
I feel that.
The biggest issue is that it seems FNH has pulled a Glock/H&K in the past couple years, and have banned sale of unlicensed FNH replicas stateside.
>>
If you guys have a choice between a folding stock and a solid stock, which one do you pick?
>>
>>1406745
Depends if its CQB or field games but I prefer solids over folding simply over wiggling issues.
>>
>>1406745
Depends on the material. Wood > * and typically only comes in solid.
>>
>>1406753
There are wooden folding stocks too, like on the RPK.
>>
>>1406745
Solid stock on rifles, folding stock on subguns.

I own one, as does a friend
Be wary of the rear sights
Shredded the piston quickly on an 11.1 stock
Stock has tiny room for battery unless dremelled out
Pot metal isn't the best, took a few years but the front sights are shattered and my RPK's rear stock tang broke because of a gunbag with a few guns falling on it, arguably that would make it sound not so bad considering the gun bag weighed around 30 pounds, but I doubt material costs would have been much higher for one small high tension part

Depends on where I want my battery storage to sit
If the build is fine for 11.1 sticks then I go skeletonized folding stock and wire it to the rear so I can tape the battery in to the grove of the stock

But if I want a 'real nice' build then solid is preferential (especially in the case of G3 or M16) for huge donger batteries. Unfortunately my battery is currently secured like this
>>
>>1406794
>>1406794
I was planning on using the stock battery until it burst to flames. What happens to the rear sights though? I'm more worried about looks in general and I know missing bits would break me mentally.
I don't get how asps are related though

>>1406809
Quite basically, they fall off.. In both cases I've seen, the leaf spring and screw are also missing so perhaps this is the cause. In any case I'd recommend either putting some teflon tape or loctite on the screw to alleviate the issue, just keep in mind you'll need to remove it to remove the front assembly of the rifle.
With my stock dremelled out I can fit 1250mAh 11.1s and they work wonders with the upgrades I have, though I also occasionally use 800mAh 7.4's if I want a slow fire rate/ammo conservation/realistic 650RPM.

As for the battery on the stock, it's performance > looks for me anon. Instant trig response, long milsims on the same battery, and a very high RPS come at a cost

Collecting for two years. It's a cheaper and easier alternative to gun collecting, since I live in Finland.
I haven't played all that much, nor engaged with the community. Usually when I buy a gun I have a specific model/role in mind and then check the prices on stores, find something affordable and check online that the gun doesn't explode if I do decide to take it out skirmishing.

Side note, I wonder if Russians use any optics on their guns. I just recently bought a rifle scope and a cheap red dot scope and they are really fun to use.

Okay so let me get this straight.
If I use a 800psi reg on the HPA tanks my replica will blow up?
>>
>>1408776
Just don't. Get an airsoft regulator. Safe psis are more around 150 and below.
>>
>>1408776
There's NO HPA engine that will take 800 PSI, so NO, you can't use Paintball regulators, ONLY Low pressure ones like the LPR, SLP.

Only HPA airsoft replica that will be able to use a paintball regulator on 800psi IS the tippmann M4.

Yes if you use that paintball reg on your HPA engine, it will literally BLOW up.
>>
>>1408781
>>1408788
I see.
But that raises another question. LP regulators are only usable with LP tanks or something like that, yes?
>>
>>1408795
No, there's several regulators that will take paintball tanks, theyre made to lower the pressure output, the SLP is the only one it can't.
>>
>>1408795
I use a Ninja paintball tank with a Redline Airsoft reg that takes 5k down to 150

Kinda OT, but why doesn't paintball have a following on /asp/?
>>
>>1408802
>>1408815
I feel extremely stupid because I simply don't understand this HPA psi shit.
Let's say I have a 90/4500. I need to put a regulator on it. The regulator has to be "4500-compatible" and capable of bringing down psi output to 150ish psi.
For the sake of me understand this entire thing better let's assume that SLP regulator is not usable because the tank is not compatible with it and I can't buy that the Redline - Firebase regulator that works with everything.

What would be my options in there? Shouldn't regulators allow me to down-regulate (duh) psi to whatever amount I want to?
>>

>>
>>1408854
So you cant buy the Redline cause you're broke?

Cause if thats it then you shouldnt have jumped to the HPA hype train, only reason you'd consider the SLP is because you either have a Wolverine unit or youre broke.
>>
>>1408863
>>1408871
So airsoft is just an extension of /k/, while paintball is somewhat of a sport?

And autism or no, you guys are all pretty cool.
>>
>>1408879
>So you cant buy the Redline cause you're broke?
It's a "what if" situation. I simply don't understand very well how HPA works and want to, for that reason giving the "get a redline firebase" answer is not something I'm looking for.
I just want to understand how other regulators that aren't the redline firebase work to bring down the output psi to non-explosive levels.
>>
>>1408883
Its moreso that your average paintballer isn't on forch whereas your average airsofter is more likely to be hence the autism comparison. Thats why only asg remains where the paintball one can't hang with all the gay wrestling threads.
>>
>>1408890
https://ampedairsoft.com/regulated-air-systems/

Here, just dont buy the SLP if you don't have an SLP tank.

I don't remember the specifics on why the SLP doesnt work but I think the SLP regulator is a simplified device that takes lower Psi input compared to the other regulators, the SLP is a real quality regulator which (NOT RECOMMENDED) but can take normal paintball tanks (WILL CAUSE FAST WEAR AND TEAR, WHICH MEANS BANG)
>>
This only means that the other regulators are designed to take higher psi input compared to the SLP, they all do the same thing of lowering the output PSI so that the HPA engine doesnt blow up.
>>
>>1408677
Ask the seller if he wants to sell the gun without the internals then.
>>
>>1408890
SLP (Super Low Pressure) outputs approx 275-300 PSI (designed specifically for the G6R and other Bob Long markers).

SHP (Super High Pressure) outputs approximately 1,100 PSI (designed for use in automags and possibly some tippmann markers).

There you go, so the SHP category would include LRP, Ninja, Redlines and others.
>>
>>1408912
>SHP (Super High Pressure) outputs approximately 1,100 PSI
>There you go, so the SHP category would include LRP, Ninja, Redlines and others.
So that means SHP regulators can be downregulated to airsoft-friendly psi output levels?
That's what I wanted to know.

I don't understand why anyone would get SLP then if it's so restrictive though.

Tokyo Marui makes an electric Uzi, Mac-10, and Skorpion. If you want something cheaper, WELL makes a clone of the Marui Uzi and JG makes a clone of the Skorpion and Mac 10; I can't make any guarantees of them working that long though. Upgrade parts for all of these are also very rare and limited to things like pistons and cylinders.

KWA/KSC makes both a gas Mac 11 and Skorpion. HFC also makes a gas Mac 11 that's a clone of the KWA/KSC, but mags will be a little harder to find since it uses pre-NS2/System 7 magazines.

VFC FNX-45, any of the KWA USPs (The MK 23 and HK45 too for that matter), and the WE or Tokyo Marui PX4 are all that I can think of when it comes to DA/SA pistols that aren't what you mentioned already.
If you want just single action, look into the VFC M&P9, Marushin Five-seven (The new one that's being sold through Cybergun), or a Hi-Capa from a company like TM or KJW.

Doesn't look like it has any threading on the inside like some GBBs have, so you're up shit creek there.
You could always get a cheap adapter like this http://www.evike.com/products/36449/ (They have them in orange if you're concerned about that too), sand down the threaded side that goes inside the barrel, and glue it in place.

I'm kind of a sucker for a DA/SA trigger.

Is there any way to get the VFC FNX without paying for Cybergun branding?
>>
>get cheap "silencer"
>put thread adapter on GBB
>put silencer onto thread adapter
>load up a magazine of gas
>fire it a few times
>gun is actually louder with the silencer
>silencer starts screwing itself apart with each shot and the foam "baffles" almost drop out the front

So would it be worth replacing the foam "baffles" with something made from steel wool, then putting loctite on the screw ends of the silencer? I mean I know there's only so much you can do for escaping propane in terms of sound but I feel that at least with with steel wool in there, it won't get all funky and squishy with silicone deposits like the foam would.
>>
>>1410191
>Is there any way to get the VFC FNX without paying for Cybergun branding?
No. Knowing VFC, if anything Cybergun keeps the cost down to stay competitive. Cybergun is actually half-decent about pricing for their airsoft pistols.

How bad could it be to get a "boneyard" Marushin 5-7 for around $80? I mean most of the parts that would break are available, with the most expensive one being the magazine.

>>1410191
Is there any way to get the VFC FNX without paying for Cybergun branding?
Sadly not to my knowledge. I actually just checked overseas retailers, and they're actually cheaper here in the US rather than in Taiwan or HK.
Long story short, FNH holds the copyright on even the shape of their guns (Something that Glock and H&K have done in years prior; it's the reason why you don't see any KSC or TM Glocks new in the States) and this prevents "unlicensed" copies from entering the the US. Cybergun holds the exclusive rights for FHN branded replicas so they're the only ones that provide an FNX, or any FNH replica for that matter.
>>
>>1410197
Would you say that a VFC FNX would be a nicer gun to shoot than a WE M&P?

>So would it be worth replacing the foam "baffles" with something made from steel wool
I don't know about laws regarding this outside of the US, but do NOT FUCKING DO THIS. Don't even fucking think of doing it. The ATF will fuck your ass into the next month for posession of a silencer, and will probably try to hit you with producing them too.
It may sound silly but putting steel wool into a tube with threads, even if it's for a bbgat, can and will count as a suppressor to the ATF.

Just keep it empty or run a longer barrel through it. It's not worth trying to fight that kind of shit.
>>
>>1410201
It feels nicer in the hands, and it's nicer to shoot in my opinion, but it's also rather large and expensive so I personally wouldn't pick one up. You have to consider more than JUST cost of the gun, magazines, and gas, but also the holster. The FNX due to its size and weight requires a high quality hard shell holster to retain it reliably and comfortably, and you can end up paying the cost of the gun for a quality level III holster that will fit the gun.

>>1410206
>>1410195
That's not how the law works. As long as he doesn't possess a firearm that can readily be adapted to use the "suppressor", he can use whatever he likes to quite the report of an airgun since under US law they don't count as firearms. Unless he has a real gun with 14mm negative threads or an adapter, there's literally nothing the ATF can legally do against him.
>>
Damn, they only make the FNX with raised sights I think.

I can get by the .45ACP markings, whatever, I'd load the magazines up to 17 anyway, but I don't know if there's any low profile sights for it, also it's like 200+ dollars where I'm looking, is it pricier in the US?

>>1410206
Not in the US, and I doubt you could use this thing as a real silencer, not a lot anyway, I think the diameter of the muzzle is like over .50 caliber, and it feels very cheap and flimsy, like zinc or something, even with steel wool it'd have marginal effect on anything which is reasonably easy to suppress without having subsonic ammunition, and it screws itself apart from recoil (mind you, this is the very mild recoil of a GBB pistol)

I figure the easiest ammo to get illegally around here which is subsonic in factory loadings would be stuff like .22LR, .25ACP and .32ACP, shit which is way too small to effectively suppress with this thing, no matter how nice the baffles or wool is. If I used 9mm Luger it'd probably strip it's own threading.

Also I don't want to run a longer barrel through it because that'd look like shit when taking the thing off.
>>
>>1410201
I don't own one, but VFC has a damn good record when it comes to gas pistols (They make Glock replicas under the name Stark Arms). WE on the other hand is known for making affordable guns, but their quality control is all over the place.

The FNX will probably have an aluminum slide with better fit, while the WE M&P will have a cheap zinc alloy slide and sloppy fit.
>>
>>1410216
Yeah, of all my guns, the M&P is by all accounts the most "adequate", it isn't amazing to shoot or anything but it manages to hold together and it works consistently.

It's a bit rattly, but that also makes me think of old GI spec 1911 pistols and how they were a bit loose in fit.
>>
>>1410215
They're about $150~$160 here in the US. Also don't quote me on this but you may or may not be able to fit real steel FNP-45 sights on them.
>>
>>1410227
I'd probably be looking at paying over $100 for real sights then, not exactly appealing.

God, why must airsoft be so constrained?
>>
>>1410232
What country? I want to take a wild guess and say Finland since airsoft shit seems to be heinously overpriced there.
>>
>>1410235
Close, Sweden, gun anything here is hideously overpriced, it's just how it is on this giant cuck peninsula.

For an actual licensed pistol shooter, a Glock 17 pistol is like $800 usually.
>>
>>1410000
>How practical is having 4x32 acog in airsoft?
Surprisingly practical. I've used different scopes/magnifiers myself and ~4x seems to be the sweet spot for airsoft. Even for BASR I use a Swiss Arms 5x because anything higher than that makes it feel like the bbs are flying all over the place when aiming down no matter how much time I spend zeroing.
>>
Are Jing Gong, CYMA or Dboys guns any good? I've been thinking of getting a second AEG (probably an MP5, an AK or a G36).
>>
>>1410242
They all do something pretty damn well in their price point.
JG makes (Or at least made) one of the better G36s and their ARs are considered a safe bet for starters, CYMA makes the cheapest AK that's actually good (At least the 040 VFC clones and the only M14 that matters aside from the TM and G&G ones, not the TM based ones like the 038), and Dboys makes AKs with decent externals and the cheapest SCAR that isn't a plastic LPEG.

It's kind of a mix of all of those. You have two barrels that each hold one shell, and those shells work more or less in the same way that airsoft launchers do.
I don't know about the new versions, but they used to be known for being huge steaming piles of shit.
>>
Can a stock marui 92fs with a plastic slide (and plastic frame, obviously) handle green gas (and by "handle" I mean "last long using")? I can't seem to find duster gas anywhere where I live.
>>
>>1410300
It's propane without an odorant and has silicone mixed in. You'll probably have to refill after two mags, but that depends on weather.
>>
>>1410294
>>1410305
They still are, but that's if you use the shitty shells that it comes with.

The best solution for them to be skirmishable is to get Goblin Shells. They fit, and they shoot 12 BBs, 6 BBs more than the shells they come with. Lot cheaper too.
>>
>>1410307
If it was something like a TM Glock or Hi-Capa, I'd be inclined to say yes, but TM Berettas are only less fragile than their 5-7.
Also if you live somewhere warm (think +90F constantly) then it'll break even faster.

Just get a guarder kit and call it a day.

>what should I bring, wear and do for my very first game with a site rented rifle and a metal spring sidearm?
If you are renting you mustn't really bring anything because the assumption is that you are testing the waters prior to fully jumping on them.

If the field doesn't include goggles with the renting (uncommon but who knows) then bring your own protective goggles, GOOD protective goggles. Boots are encouraged but not necessary, if you don't already have a pair of boots then go with whatever footwear you consider is the safest and sturdiest.
Not sure how much time you are going to spend on the field and what's the weather in you area but it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring a backpack and carry a few water bottles in there. Grab something to eat too.
If you don't want your teeth accidentally (or otherwise I guess) shot out then buy a meshmask.
Bring bbs if the renting doesn't include them or they are included but limited to whatever amount.
I would also recommend bringing a cap, something in drab colors would be perfect. And something to protect your neck, like a shemagh.
About what clothes to wear that's up to you I guess. I personally wear Levi's and a shirt/tshirt most of the time. Only exceptions are when the temperature is too hot, too cold or if I'm in a milsim.

Well rifles shoot 1,5-2,5J at stock. Some stores sell ''pre-upgraded'' BASRs with M170 springs in them. Joules don't really mean shit since you won't be hitting anything, which is why there will always be a huge amount of Well rifles available in the secondhand market.
>>
>>1410906
How long do you think a 3 joule sniper would hold out on 45 degree sears?
>>
>>1410977
Not long. Just buy the 90 degree trigger. If you want to cheap out and cut corners, BASRs aren't for you.
>>
>>1410983
Yes, I know... It was more of a rhetorical question. He wants high power (spring) sniper rifles with 45 degree sears.

Anyway the SVU is now available on evike!

If you're in the US, just buy circuit freeze on Amazon.
>>
>>1410903
ask them to ship them in parts, check the "gift" checkbox in the invoice and mark the value as under whatever the limit is for import taxation

Do you guys have warm-up music to get you in the mood while in the car to an event? Really gritty industrial music does it for me.

Okay so where's the catch with the Mancraft regulator?

Low air flow for full auto guns. Might require lube.

I foolishly accepted early shipment of the spare magazines, so now I can't even go back.

Depends on what I'm doing. If I'm going to an op my local field is hosting, I'll listen to Fortunate Son or Paint It Black or shit like that. If I'm going to cqb, it'll be just some metal or rap.

So what's the deal with lipo batteries? I only have gbb riffles so I don't know the experience. I hear so much loathing over them. It's just a battery, what gives?
>>
>>1410874
I'd be inclined to agree, but this shoots even faster.

>>1411219
It's a better battery. that's all.

How is there loathing over that?
>>
>>1411219
Smaller, lighter and cheaper but provide high current and voltage. Easier to abuse and break though.
>>
>>1411233
Maybe he means people loathe them because they can increase trigger response and RPS.
>>
>>1411241
So can any number of simple modifications to a gun.

It depends what you want really. They both costed around 200 American dollars for me (the AEP was used). If you want realism for an impression then go with a KWA and buy a wood grip (mine was $20 on eBay). If you want reliability, and are willing to search for one, then the TM would be a better option. They both have about the same range although the TM is seriously quite with a suppressor.

It is, but I usually run with the visor up, and without the slavaclava. But my googles have some decent ventilation so it will do.

Also I'm not plauged with high tempratures where I live.

Anyone have experience with the Emerson G2 or G3 pants?

I'm looking for something with integrated kneepads that won't the break the bank to replace my surplus Vegetato pants, on which I rolled the dice on size and got something too large for my 32" waist.

A friend of mine gave me his TMC ones when he got real Crye ACs.
They're okay, but the knee pads will fall out non stop so you may have to get real Crye pads.

The next leap up seems to $100 Rasputin RS3 pants. Do those justify the 1.5-2x price they command?
