Ballsweat heat and humidity, and I actually prefer the cold as long there's no snow.

Under 100 and above 30ish is good for me.

Also, got some stuff for my 74M.

Last time I played in May to be honest, and even before that once a month would be pretty frequent for me.
I always go with my brother, but he's a massive downer and basically doesn't even like this fucking hobby. Once I return home to my replicas I'm gonna just host my own games and do it way more often.

I kind of hate wearing a chest rig. I really prize mobility in my games and it feels very restrictive. Is there any good way to secure a couple of AK mags that would allow me to run unhindered without a chest carrier?

i figure as long as it's adjustable to some extent thats about all I need; along with the condition that it wont fall apart due to being made out of shitty potmetal
>>
>>1382914
Buddy bought one, it has issues fitting on an SVD funny enough. Other than that, it's an alright scope.
>>
>>1383011
The glass is garbage. There's no guarantee that it'll be x4 magnification, and even if it is, there's no guarantee that the eye relief on the scope will be the same as where the eyepiece sets it at. And this is all to say nothing about the actual durability of the thing. This is the risk of buying chink glass. And because it's specialty and "Russian", ekike can overcharge you for it. Pay less than twice that and you'll have an optic that will hold up over time and actually work like it's supposed to.

buy once cry once.
>>
>>1383028
Don't get tricked by the airsoft version of audiophiles and their self-imposed placebos. When it comes to scopes/magnification/holosights you only have two possible options, genuine or copy.
Genuine is out of the question most of the time so your only option left is copy. And all copies are nearly exactly the same to eachother but (re)branded and with different pricetags for a money-means-quality effect.

I don't have the real version of the chinks I own but I've read many people who own the real ones saying that minus the tritium, fiber, the lack of keeping zero and (sometimes) the incorrect reticles, the chink copies are nearly literally the same as the real deal.

I seriously doubt that. Unless we are talking "quality" chinks, not the cheapest thing in taiwangun by ACM, my grandpa bought a scope like that for his airgun because he's doesn't let go of money easily, and it's trash.

"Quality chinks" is a meme that people use to justify the price they paid for an otherwise exact copy of the same product.
The cheapest ACM scope in Taiwangun is a 3-9x40 that almost everyone who snipes in airsoft uses because either it came included with the replica or because you really don't need to buy a military-grade (not even a copy of one) scope so you go for a cheap alternative. Mine works just fine after many years of use and more than a few good beatings.

Thats in fact the exact thing I want to get rid of. However arent Gorkas really warm mountain uniforms like the name implies?
>>
>>1383659
They can be kinda warm in the summer but like any BDUs of similar thickness its bearable.
>>
>>1383661
So its not on Partizans level of bullshit temperature in summer?
Also what about 100% cotton uniforms. Ive seen an M65 BDU and Im wondering how it fares as far as durability comfort and temperature goes.
>>
>>1383665
Cotton becomes a cooling layer once its wet but its more comfortable in comparison to other fabrics. If its good quality it can be fairly durable.
>>
>>1383669
Other than DPM lightweight its the go to summer uniform then for central yurop?
>>
>>1383674
Well Gorka is more specialized for Mountain divisions and Spetsnaz units which can afford/get them.
>>
>>1383677
Alright let me be an annoying shit for just a little bit longer. Is Teesar a good company? I saw their M65 and am wondering if its worth the price or should I just shekel up for a Gorka
>>
>>1383681
Never heard of Teesar but IIRC the M65 jackets can be thick.
>>
>>1383700
Are there any good companies that wont burn a hole through my wallet that make good mostly cotton BDUs/ACUs then? Preferably in an older camo pattern like US woodland.
>>
>>1383648
>Non-surplus
If you mean non issue then Viper digital DPM
>>
>>1383648
Tru-Spec makes some very lightweight 100% cotton uniforms, in Tigerstripe. I would say are either equal in lightness to DPM, or possibly even superior.
>>
Does anyone here have a G&G airsoft gas rifle? I got the m1903 Springfield and the manual says to push the "left side receiver button" to push out the hop-up wheel but the button is incredibly stiff and I'm not sure if I'm just supposed to push really hard or if it's stuck.
>>
>>1383659
Ignore this retard: >>1383661 Gorkas are supposed to be an insulating oversuit that goes on top of BDU's. If you want something lightweight and comfortable that's russian then Maskhalats are the thinnest things available. They're supposed to be worn over uniform but there is evidence from Syria that they are being worn on their own in the extreme heat. Other Russian choices are Russian BDU's but they're quite thick cotton and can be very warm or a KLMK (a real one, not what Grey shop calls a KLMK).

As for non Russian uniforms most of Western Europes BDU's are designed for the heat of summer and often have another jacket available for winter.

Pick your favourite pattern and go for it.
>>
>>1383715
Propper or Tru Spec are pretty cheap mid grade Bdus.
I run propper pants and a tru spec combat shirt and can vouch for their affordability to quality ratio
>>
>>1383727

because beta spetznas rifles are a staple of speedsofters and new players and they look disgusting
Milsims are also usually fought in the bush or in fields and so you're going to want a rifle with a good fps, a good barrel length, and perhaps an rhop or flathop

Most milsims don't allow you to reload your magazines while playing and don't allow highcaps, though some do cap off how many rounds you're allowed to have (MSW rifleman is 500 rounds for instance) so perhaps he could have enough.

It's WE though so they didn't bother about authenticity beyond that, so I figure, might as well make it more comfortable.

I'm just big I guess? Kinda chunky though. The grip angle of the A1 grip was not comfortable for me at any stock position, this grip, and this stock, fully extended, is just so much better.

I don't even play BBwars anymore. The only outdoor field in my area closed recently because all of the years of the owner being a shitty businessman finally caught up. Every other field is at least an hour out, and neither me nor my friends want to drive an hour out for pick up games. Really sucks too since I completed my kit like a month or so before the field closed.

>It's a money dump with no significant advantage over a properly tuned AEG DMR
You've never played against a good sniper it seems. Fields here allow DMRs to shoot 2J and snipers 3J. There's a big difference in effective range. AEGs also make a lot more noise than BASRs which limits your capabilities to sneak around and stay hidden.

It's just a knife.
Nobody said anything about using it on people, or mounting a bayonet charge.

If someone feels a knife would look right on their getup, I don't see why they couldn't have a real one if they felt like that, especially if you're out in the woods or expecting to open a lot of packages, knives are just practical to have, there's a reason they've stuck with us for thousands of years.
>>
>>1384958
Depends entirely on the field and the players. Custom built guns can heavily outclass stock Maruis. Stock chinks may or may not. It's a lottery. A lot of the expensive ''high quality'' guns don't actually have high quality internals at stock. Some people are just plain stupid or lazy and don't bother to fix their shit. All in all, It's a mixed bunch. Just make sure you're getting decent compression, your hop up works and you're using high quality 0,25g bbs.

Cyma 040, the meme gun. E&L, LCT and Real Sword if you want something nice.

Original anon who posted that loadout.

It's my kit for Fulda Gap. Not exactly a milsim event, since it has a relaxed rule set. (high caps are legal) It's more like a traditional 7 hour game with a break in between the two days to rest and reload. Just continuing from the last thread :DDDDD

Also >BETA is a noob/speedsofter gun meme
I've got two AK-74s and an M4A1. If I wanted a longer gun I'd be using one. However, since 90% of your range is in the bb to fps ratio and your hop-up, I prefer carbines. I like full stocks because of battery space and I like the ergonomics and magazines of AKs. Therefore the BETA is perfect for me.

>speedsoft
Play mostly woodsoft so I play sneaki breeki whenever possible.

Lel why not go hpa then.

If you lock to semi only, not be gay and put a short speed trigger and not use an AR or AK platform it you would be good.

I have an LCT VSS and honestly it shoots great and its quiet for not having a foamed suppressor and you can build one for what a Good Aeg dmr or BASR will cost you.

Kek, stop spreading misinformation.

TNK doesn't build or sell daytona guns/kits anymore.

M4 platform: Based on G&P WOC and WE M4
SCAR L/H: WE-tech GBBR
ACR/MASADA: WE-tech MSK
M249: Classic Army and A&K
M60: A&K
AK/RPK/etc: Generally kits were made for the LCT, can be fitted to most VFC style or close to it with some more work. This includes RS, CYMA, E&L.
SR25: Ares M110
PKM: did it ever go on production? idk
L85/L86: Only 3 ever made based on AA
MP5/MP5k: Based on the SRC Steel receivers.

might be missin some.

The Marines in Guadalcanal were issued Springfields. The Army had priority since the Marines are still part of the Navy.
>>
>>1386823
the marines considered semi automatic rifles to be defensive weapons, and hence used bolt action rifles instead.
>>
>>1387100
No it was because the Marines at the time were considered to be secondary to the Army as the Army got priority over new small arms in comparison to the Navy. The marines eventually got their Garands and Thompsons which they loved far more over their older Springfields.

>>
>>1386823
Some units, particularly Marines, actually had Johnson rifles, to fill in for the need for Garands, weird looking guns, but they were about as good as the Garand, arguably.
Likewise they also didn't always have BARs, so they made do with Johnson LMGs, and this is more for rear echelon troops, but there wasn't always enough to go around of the Thompson during the war in the Pacific, it was an expensive weapon which took time to make, the H&R Reising took it's spot at times (it's not a very well liked weapon, but I'd argue that's because it wasn't designed in the slightest to be used out in battlefield conditions)
>>
Hey guys, I'm starting to put together my NATO guccicam kit. My Australian friends are pier-pressuring me into going to an MSW, not that I'm apposed to it.

I know you get what you pay for, but, I don't want to pay $70 for the FirstSpear ballistic helmet cover. Any good alternative covers for a ballistic FAST?
>>
>>1387199
>Johnson Rifles
I didn't know that bit, but man I would love to have a Reising SMG in airsoft.
The first time I heard of it was when I was playing Medal of Honor Pacific Assault and I thought they just really botched the modelling on a Thompson.
>>
>>1387199
Not sure if the Marines had them as much but wouldn't grease guns be common for them seeing that they were dirt cheap?
>>
>>1387231
I've never heard of a Grease gun in the pacific, it's always Thompsons or Reisings or Johnsons.
I figure by the time grease guns were issued, everyone worth their salt in the Pacific already had a garand or a thompson.
>>
>>1387240
Really strange since Thompsons were far more expensive. Then again most Marines were riflemen rather than rear echelon in comparison to the US army which just needed guns that would work for cheap that they could issue to vehicle drivers and non-com personnel.
>>
>>1387245
Well, like I said, the M3 didn't exist when they had a shortage of guns.
>>
>>1387231
I don't know if the Greaseguns ever saw use in the Pacific.

The Greasegun was devised as a viable alternative to the Tommygun, cheaper and a little lighter, slower rate of fire, overall more economical, but not so cheap as to be terrible, the idea was "Well the Sten is cheap and very fast to make, what if we made something like that but better?"

The Reising was kind of just brought in as a quick solution because they couldn't get enough Tommyguns fast enough, and it was quick to make, but it was not a good choice for a weapon of war, it's more something that maybe a Police Department would have in their armory, a gun that doesn't expect a lot of abuse or dirt (and it's actually alright for this).

Most infamously, the Reising didn't actually feature interchangeable internal parts, this was suggested as a production shortcut so they could make the guns faster to meet Army/Navy demands.
There was two variants, one with the worst wirestock ever (think a wire-hanger bent into shape but slightly heavier gauge), and one with a perfectly alright rifle stock

They're called GPNVG-18s. The reason why it has four objective lenses is to give a more normal field of view compared to regular single or double tube NODs.

Of course real ones are like $42,000 and restricted to military and law enforcement agencies only, so he just has a hunk of plastic on his head that does nothing other than be there purely for aesthetics.

Need some help here.

I own(ed) a TAR-21 by Ares.
it was defect and I sent it in to get it repaired.
Unfortunately, the guys made a mistake and sent it to someone else instead.
Now I have the choice between a waiting a few days and getting it repaired for free, or getting a new Tavor, but from S&T.
Can anyone tell me which of these offers I should accept?
>>
>>1387849
I'm pretty sure the ARES Tavor is of better quality so I would say to wait for that one.
>>
>>1387849
S&T tavor is exactly same as the ARES one, except this one is even more finicky piece of shit. I'd rather wait
>>
>>1387849
S&T designed the ARES tavor and then started to make their own ones. They make multiple models of it that vary in price and quality. You can get fucked if you accept the S&T if he sends you the cheapest one that is full plastic hunk of junk

I used standard graffiti spraycans.
First I taped off every opening that might have let in any colour.
Then I coloured it all white, waited a day for it to dry and again taped everything off that wasn't supposed to get black.
Next I used black and then did the same with orange.
For the smaller stripes of white and black, I first taped them over, then cut them out.
I can upload an album on imgur later if you'd like.

And yeah, I actually like the design as well, it's pretty well done, it's just the opposite of camouflage.

What am I supposed to look for when buying HPA rig?
3000 or 4500psi?

>>
>>1390289
Suicide charges with flashlights.
>>
>>1390507
Get an airsoft HPA regulator and any standard HPA paintball tank will work. 4500 holds far more air than 3000 but costs more. Coil/Straight doesn't really matter, its your preference. Same with 4 vs 6mm. Also if you want plug and play there are premade HPA rigged guns and all you have to do is buy the tank and regulator. Also there's the Tippman M4.
>>
>>1390507
4500 psi tanks hold more air, 3000 psi taks are cheaper. coil vs straight line, preference. I don't know what 4mm vs 6mm refers to though, so you'll have to explain.
>>
>>1390523

>if you want plug and play there are premade HPA rigged guns
Not an option, got a mancraft sdik because everyone seems to agree that for basr that's the best option in conjunction with a flat/rhop.
>I don't know what 4mm vs 6mm refers to though
Regulator's output hose diameter, I've seen some on 6mm and some on 4mm so I thought there would be a difference.

What's making me confused as fuck is this entire SLP regulators and/or tanks.
>>
>>1390511
Well, that's what the strobe is for, right?
>>
>>1390543
SLP and SHP refer to the output of the tank's regulator. You screw another regulator onto the tank's regulator, and that's what the air hose gets plugged into. Depending on what standalone regulator you get, you may need a tank w/ a SLP or SHP reg. Do a bit of research and you'll be fine.
