I got an ACR that only shoots with 0.5j.
Got it when I was relatively new.
It's surprisingly good for 0.5 but obviously can't keep up with any "real" S-AEGs (living in Germany)

My friend just recently got a JG M4 as his first rifle. On his first time taking it out to the field the air nozzle snapped off and one piece is now stuck on the piston heaf. Im wondering how much of a bitch it would be to do the repair myself. Are JG guns bad with disassembling, do some parts absolutely not work in JG guns and would it be better to upgrqde his gun while its already open?

Generally, I would advice on just getting a new one, if he's not ready for that, make sure he knows that, if he wants to keep this one, and continue to play, he will eventually spend more.
If he's not sure yet, repair it, keep playing with it and get upgrades that you can salvage when he decides to get a better one.

Stock was plastic, not period correct for the XM-177E2 (it was also shit)

Front sight has a bayonet lug, not correct for the XM-177E2

Handguards are made to M4A1 spec, tiny detail but nonetheless wrong for a CAR-15

The lower is an A2 lower, not correct for any CAR-15 at all

Grip was A1, but the grip angle wasn't that great even with the stock fully extended.

Literally the only thing A1 on it is the upper and the Moderator, I'm amazed at your autism as if I've desecrated a real one, do you also post LE RIFLE IS FINE and cry when someone refinishes their shitty 91/30 or puts a rail on their AKM?

MagPul is fine, what the fuck else should I go for? A quadrail? Fat chance. The handguards are light, have better ergonomics than cheap M4 knockoff ones, and look better comparatively.

I honestly don't like the round M4 and M16A2 handguards that much, they're designed symmetical to be easier on logistics and cheaper to produce and buy, they've always felt very mediocre (not that the triangle ones are amazing).
Magpul gives me light weight AND ergonomics, on top of MLOK slots should I need them.

IRL the M4 doesn't have the right externals for prolonged automatic fire but there are some people that have made ARs with heavier barrels. Problem is that the AR isn't designed to have a removable barrel which severely limits it past a short firefight. Though since this is airsoft just get a drum mag and go full retard.

I'd argue more internals, the gas tube is thin and gas goes inside of the bolt-carrier's expansion chamber, which is perfectly fine for an infantry rifle (great even), but this setup really doesn't handle heat as well as a weapon operating on long or short stroke piston, where hot gasses don't go into the bolt-carrier.

Colt made a few which fired from an open bolt, which is a step in the right direction for an MG, but it's still inherently a less idea system for heavy, sustained volumes of fire.
The IAR uses a short stroke piston, and thus handles heat better, but it's not capable of firing from an open bolt like initially suggested, and that's something that really helps with heat dissipation and safety with a support weapon.

It's designed to handle the recoil you get with the stock gun. When you start throwing more force throuh the things than they're designed for, bad things happen. The same is true of virtually everything.

My dream is to build an airsoft tank or something with multiple stationary guns, some 40mm GL launcher and shit and have an "Airsoft Boss Fight" with it. The goal would be to shoot down some weakpoints or something, or maybe throw a grenade inside MGS1 style?
Also a juggernaut survival game on a dense terrain with nowhere to hide and a time limit. Shooting the juggernaut would only make him stop moving or something.

Are HPA conversion kits/HPA guns worth lugging the bottle around with you?

My local airsoft association doesn't allow full auto in games that take place at their CQB fields so I'm not sure if the full auto would even be worth it (plus almost no-one uses HPA guns in Finland)
