If you're stuck, retreat, flank from right, shoot and scoot. Works always.
A friend of mine used to play HIGH LEVEL paintball in the national league or whatever it's called. He learned a lot of his tactics from actual military and police CQB training videos and such. He's sweeping floor whenever we go to CQB arenas.

Have you ever actually used one? I use one almost every single day, the thing outshoots any NATO rifle bar MAYBE the Sig 550, can go for weeks in dusty sand nigger bowls without needing cleaned and still fire every last round. The ONLY downside to the rifle was that shitty SUSAT scope and the lack of accessories, but they've solved it by slapping some rails on and replacing the scope.

>>1108238
Thanks m8. Mag compatibility is a bit of a hassle with these. They're compatible with CA M14 mags but you can't use CYMA, G&P or TM mags with it. The reason behind this is because theres a notch in the top left of the mags to fit with the gearbox, therefore, I've only ever used G&G mags with it. All in all, if you want an EBR but don't want to go broke or buy a shitty one, the G&G is the way to go
>>
>>1107411
Before I bought my gun, I was going to go for one of these. I love the looks. The reason I didn't was because I heard some bad reviews for the G&G one. Also my buddy had one and he brought it to a field one day after a repair and it didn't work so he sperged out and smashed it against the ground

The motor cage is honestly the greatest thing on airsoft AKs. I don't have to reassemble half the gun just to test the gearbox, like on an AR.

I still love ARs, tho

Bulgarian AKs are some of the finest available, I don't think that Arsenal is made in Bulgaria though, as a SAM-7SF would take that shit like a champ.

Also, an AK isn't immune to dirt and debris, it'll handle a good deal of it, but the deal is that clearing out shit from the receiver is just real easy to do, because it's simple and there's lots of room, you take off the cover and shake it out, which is easy enough to do in a firefight if you're behind cover.

It's all trade-offs though (and personally, I like the AR much much better).

Arsenals are the best American made AKs

According to /k/
>>
>>1109591
AKs generally can be easier to maintain than an AR but modern variants made under equal quality controls are equivalent in terms of handling dirt. My main point is that you see so many garbage AKs made from parts kits or shitty countries that of course fail under similar circumstances to ARs. You look at the actual AKs that just fucking werk throughout the history of the rifle series and they're more often than not Russian surplus which were made in factory to take a beating by vatniks drunk on cheap vodka.
>>1109595
American made AKs are still fairly shit because they're made to look like an AK but not actually perform like a service rifle. I'd rather own an american AR if I had to choose between the two.

basic summary

>>1109595
Arsenals are made in Bulgaria.

The only decent American AK I can think of right now is the Century C93v2, which is passable, amazingly enough, considering it's made by Century.

Waffen Werks used to be pretty good, then they became popular, then they tried to keep up with demand by making their product less good, then they became shit, then they went out of business for being shit.

>>1109603
>You look at the actual AKs that just fucking werk throughout the history of the rifle series and they're more often than not Russian surplus which were made in factory to take a beating by vatniks drunk on cheap vodka.
Yeah, but then you have Yugoslavian and Chinese ones, those tend to cut the mustard, then the East German ones and the previously mentioned Bulgarians, which were some tiers above.

>I'd rather own an american AR if I had to choose between the two.
Tru dat, they've been doing it for six decades, and they've become exceedingly good at it.

Or a WASR-10/63, which is a good deal at this point, as they're actually passable now, on top of being cheap (don't expect anything amazing though)

Pretty much of this. A few people that browse here I guess play at that field as well. A couple of them chimed in with stories of a team with a leader that I guess modifies the rules to benefit him and his team. I guess he calls things "high level" when he changes them because it's supposed to make the player base play harder, but in reality it's only because they kept getting owned and needed to make it easier for them.

It's not changing the rules. It's making them more fair. When you have a place that's maybe 60% surrounded by walls, you don't need full auto to defend it. If you can't defend that area with just semi, you need to step your game up.

I don't know about that whole truck incident, but if what they're saying is true they should be actually trying to hit the players and not the truck. Get better aim and actually play at a higher level

Anyone have any good airsoft stories involving vehicles? I've been in a rollover.
>1st year airsofting
>Fresh juicy newb
>Operation has a night portion
>Get picked to be in a jeep as a hit and run gunner crew
>Get to drive shotgun
>Driver is some site employee who's probably 16 pushing 17
>Innawoods going around in this jeep having fun blasting people
>All of a sudden enemy team's armored car pulls up
>Ohfuckfuckfuck
>Driver slams the stick into reverse
>I have my arm out still using my AR like a pistol
>Jeep goes from 0 to 25 into a rock that just so happens to be angled
>Manage to pull my arm in just in time as I feel some shit is about to happen
>BANG BANG BANG
>EEEEEEEEEEEE
>Oh god what the fuck
>Realize I'm on my back on the celing of the jeep
>Grab my gun and crawl my way out
>In my delirium I don't care about the rollover and shoot out the passenger window while I'm crawling out
>Everyone around me is yelling cease fire while I dive into the bushes
>By the time everyone gets over to the jeep I was 40 feet away from it in cover
>Driver suffered minor spinal injuries and people had to convince me to see a paramedic
Adrenaline is a hell of a drug

>team HIGH-LEVEL 811 are the americans loading the barrels onto the truck
>everyone unloads on them

>they hide behind the truck
>not a single one called a hit
>bbs happen to hit the truck because airsoft guns arent accurate
>ape gets on megaphone
>"don't shoot the hiiiiigghhh-leevvvveellll truuuck"

>first time playing outdoor
>first op
>pumped
>game was supposed to be blackhawk down themed
>be on "Somalian" team
> teams are horribly unbalanced
(Which was realistic, but seemed a little unfair and not too Sportsmanlike)
>we get to our starting point
>our objective, run to the "village" and stop the US team from taking our "food and water."

Game starts
>sprint like a motherfucker down this hill with whole team of around 50 - 70 people.
>see US team loading our shit onto the back of a what appeared to be some kind of old World War II truck or something like that. (I'm not big on my vehicles so I don't know exactly what it was.)
>Proceed to engage people that are shooting at us from the truck
>there are people hiding on top of this truck, behind this truck, in front of this truck, under this truck, and everywhere in between.
>at least two people blaring the way with LMG's
>two or three snipers and DMR's taking pot shots at people.
>this goes on for a solid 15 seconds
>keep in mind, they are still using this truck is cover
>guy inside the truck sees his team getting lit to shit
>proceeds to yell with a megaphone out the window of said truck "DONT SHOOT THE TRUCK!!!!!!!"
>truck eventually drives off.

After talking to some of the other players, mostly old school players from the area; the guy that was driving the truck has a history of changing rules when his team starts getting beat. I've been back since, and he doesn't seem to be around much anymore. And I guess the "old rules "of the field got restored. It's much better.

>within 7 minutes, my entire squad is wiped

But even the the MP7 Im talking about, is only in asian airsoft sites, and if I wanted 3 extra mags, a battery, the shipping would stack it from 90 bucks to 140

I replaced the GB shell and most of the internals, the rails (original was crap plastic and had chips in it) the lower to take a V2 gearbox because that's what I had lying around. I changed it because I wanted to test my abilities building a custom gun (and the stock internals were starting to break).
>>
>>1113132
Evike apparently chrono'd it at 455 FPS, which I dont believe, considering Ive seen most get it with near high 390s or low 400s, I used to rock a Socom Gear M9 but I fucked it up, and gave it to an old friend who kept playing airsoft after I got disenchanted with airsoft 2 years ago.
>>
>>1113132
There's 3 things:

1. Despite the colapsible stock, the gun still has a long barrel (I own the long barrel version, not the short barrel) so it's still clunky to maneuver in right spaces
2. It's pretty heavy (mine wears 12 pounds with all accessories). So the guy with the 3 pound AK74U or mp5 will have the upper hand, literally
3. Some people will automatically assume your gun shoots 450+ fps of you have a DMR. So if you shoot them, it'll sting and they'll freak out at you for bringing a "long range rifle" in a cqb environment, even if it's only shooting 380
>>
>>1113183
Fuck, auto correct. You're never there when I need you
>>
>>1113183
speaking of long barrels on EBRs, I was foolish enough in buying 4 inches of barrel extension for my EBR without realizing the threading for the Vortex flash hider, is really far up there, with no way for it to even attach to the extension. At least I got the steel flash hider on the actual Rifle.

I like it the way it is, there's no need (at least aesthetically) to add a barrel extension on your rifle. I noticed a lot of the gas rifles tend to look very true to the real steel counterparts. Some of the electric models (mainly CYMA and ECHO 1) cheap out with their models with cheap telescopic sites and pot metal construction. Here's how I used to have my EBR set. I use a Kwa m93r as a backup because I've got 3 firing modes on it. Making it really versatile (and lightweight) as a back up/room clearer

>honestly the only one I considered was the Mp7 by WELL
Just don't. There's nothing well about WELL MP7s. Easily the worst AEP in existence.

I've had about four of them at this point over the span of like eight years. First one was an Umarex branded model (And it was actually my first AEG. Got it from Sports Authority for like $75 on sale) that had the battery contacts fry in a day and was sent back, got a new one from them and that one had the gearbox shit the bed right out of the box within 30 rounds. I got two more of them a couple of years later as a bundle for $50; one had a cracked gearbox with full externals, and the other one had a perfectly fine gearbox with just the receiver. I made a frankengun out of the two, and it eventually developed some compression issues that I still haven't fixed to this day.
Hell, it's still in my friend's closet from like two or three years ago for when he borrowed it as a prop for an school project in our junior year.

Pic related, the only picture that I have of the thing since it broke.

Thanks, In the future, should the JG M14 inside of the chasis die out, I'll probably just get a G&P M14 and put it inside the chasis. But you seem to be right about the cheap metal, in the attached pic, the lower rail segment where I mounted the bipod, originally actually snapped off to my dissapointment, leaving only the Section secured via rail on. so I pretty much had to attach via gorrilla glue, and keep the bipod over the half way point on the rail.

Thanks for the insight, it just always seem alright to me based off the videos I've seen, but I'll take your word to heart, honestly if I was gonna get a TM itd have to be the Recoil Shock M4s, but the MP7 does like might fine. But along that price point, I might keep scrounging for that MP5K
>>
>>1113284
>>1113320
I'm an idiot, I also meant to ask whered you get it?
>>
>>1113145
What gears are those? Did you port that piston yourself? Looks pretty high level.
>>
>>1113320
That's unfortunate. External build quality always trumps internal build quality in my eyes because when you build a DMR, you end up gutting and upgrading a lot of the internals anyhow. I used to hear stories about CYMA EBR's snapping in half. The G&P models are known for their internal build quality, since they are Tokyo Marui clones. The hop-ups are magic in them. I'd drop the G&P into the chassis whenever you can. You'll end up with a far superior rifle.
>>
>>1113320
But then again, if you're having issues with your externals falling apart, you might want to just consider buying a new rifle.

Being a G&G EBR owner, I can vouch for their quality.
The classic army ebr apparently is good too (a clone of the G&G EBR)
If you really have some cash, you could always get a TM M14 action and drop it into a G&P EBR frame (this is extremely expensive though)

I can't honestly think of any gas M14's that I would recommend though. I've heard WE's EBR is great when it actually works, but it's prone to all the same issues other gas guns have plus they have shitty customer support.

In the end, the choice is yours and you might be attached to the gun you have but if you can see it falling apart soon, I'd recommend looking into what I listed above
>>
>>1113364
Honestly when I bought the EBR for 220 then saw like a week later that the CA HBA EBR was like 300 I said to myself "Shit I shouldve just gotten that one."
I'll just ride this one till it dies on me. It makes a good display piece other wise with the King Arms stand I got for it. On a side bit, the damn thing is so finicky with its mags, I got these CYMA metal midscaps because I've been told that it actual works flawless with them, of course they didnt.
>>
>>1113369
Another bit I don't imagine anything else breaking on me anytime soon externally wise, since the EBR is like 4 components, the top heat shield, the main chasis, the pistol grip (which is secured via small hex screw and a giant lug screw, which may actually present an issue later should the screws break) and the stock itself. But I probably just jinxed myself saying that.

I'm debating on what I should do with my gear box in my G&G M14. There's no problem with it, I just want to beef it up. Think it's best to just take it to a knowledgeable technician. Or just learn how to do it on your own and become a gun tech wizard

Why not get the WE-tech SSR? These things look like straight up murder in brown, and I can vouch for their quality. A friend of mine bought one, and it's never let him down. The only pain is their proprietary magazines.

Please don't man. The V7 gearbox is literally helll to work on. You see the position of your fire selector? It's only way back and can only be way back because there's a lever. You see how there's no motor in the pistol grip? That's because the gearbox had to be designed to accommodate the new motor position and it's all kind of complex. It's just a terrible design.

It's (or at least was) a fully licensed RX01 replica with the triangle reticle. Got it for somewhere around $40-50 from a guy at my field.
It died out after a year or so and I regret tossing the thing. It was such a cool looking thing and I could have gotten a carrying handle mount for my M733.

Pretty much anything that can take VSR-10 parts. Keep in mind though that spring snipers are endgame tier when it comes to price; up there with things like P*s, Hi-Capas, and GBBRs.
You could stay sub $500 and get a decent rifle with tight grouping and maybe 200 ft range, but oh boy there is no ceiling on bolt guns.

Also you could get an SR-25 or a WE SSR ( >>1113399 ) if you want a 7.62 Real Fuckin' NATO DMR.
>>
>>1113427
if its easy stuff like an M4, I'd say changing the barrel is probably the easiest thing, or the bucking and nub. Generally though, if it aint broke, don't fix it, in my opinion.

>>1113430
I'd do it, I'd shoot for a RX-02, the polarizing adjustable feature is damn neat, and not many people run it, so it'd definitely add to the special snow flak status in a sea of genericness and EOTechs.
>>
>>1113431
It's pretty good, but just not good enough for it's price point. It has tons of electronic firing features but no actual arcing protection, which precludes the usage of 11.1 lipos. The gearbox is well tuned and will provide a decent RoF and compression, but the parts are subpar. Lastly, a lot of people don't like how plasticky it is.

For just a bit more, you could get a Krytac, which is leagues better in terms of electronic fire control, electric protection, relatively same in gearbox tuning, far superior in terms of gearbox parts, and far far superior in terms of design. Krytac guns are super easy to service and practically require you to remove one or two pins at most to access the gearbox. They even have quick change spring mechanisms so you can swap FPS on the fly. Their exteriors are steel and much more beefy.
>>
>>1113441

Just bought one of pic related. Not gonna lie, the shills (aka Noviritsch) got to me.

>G&G CM16 SRXL (new line combat machines)

I hear a lot of mixed things about G&G and Combat machines, most local players say G&G is the shit, while airsoft forums like to diss them.

I just like the Aesthetics of the srxl, the billet/stylized lower. I was gonna go Krytac, but they have a mk2 coming out in a few months and I dug the polymer carving on the SRXL.

Anyone have experience with one? I've heard it's better than the original CM series (and should fucking be for nearly double the price). Planning to upgrade the motor, wire to deans, and 11.1 it (after I get paid).

Never set Sets.

SHS sells single DSG gear as they dont sell DSG Gearsets, it goes for about $40 bucks while the Siegtek DSG gear is $60.

Plus they're much higher quality gears, just because it hasn't broken on you it doesn't mean others had they're blow up.

Not a bad camo by any means, but it can carry a stigma depending on where you live.
Here in Orlando, MARPAT and a Condor MOPC is the staple of every Babby's First """Milsim""" Team, so I'm a little biased in that regard.

Didnt say it doesnt its just that the gun there costs twice as much as it does on ehobby or samoon.
>>1118149
I do but now Im thinking of just ditching the WE and getting a GHK.
>>
>>1118149
See this is the thing, $300 from WE M4, if he has an m4 or the Scar L, H or Masada. Which are the only ones with DG kits, plus the $475 and a fuck ton for shipping to Poland (either he contacts US retailer or Asian retailer) then regulator and tank, which could spawn from $200 to 300 total.

That's around $1k depending on what he gets and that big chance he can't install it since its not a simple drop in as everyone thinks, then you got to ship it to a reliable DG tech.
>>
>>1118151
You get what you pay for man, either get Co2 mags, get nuprol red gas and upgrade the rifle accordingly.

It still would total the same as if you got the GHK from the beginning unless GHK costs you an equivalent of over $500 usd and the WE is cheaper than $300.
>>
>>1118150
It's a great gun, I wanted the full stock version as well. The tube cap is made of plastic so be careful it might get cracked when you get shot at.
>>
>>1118152
>then you got to ship it to a reliable DG tech
There is one in Poland and like I mentioned a DG kit costs twice as much there as it does according to what one of the anons said.
>>1118154
Like I said above GHK AK costs twice as much here as it does in Asia. Not sure about the WE but I already have it so yeah.
>>
>>1118164

So if you need simpler words, you want your WE to work in the cold? Drop, fucking, cash.

I already fucking said, upgrade the WE, with steel internals, get CO2 mags, or Nuprol Red.
>>

>>1118175
>>1118178
To summarize - if I want to fuck around A LOT with the gun I should stick with my WE and get some expensive green gas but if I just want a working GBB in any conditions I dump the WE and get a GHK that works with any gas even at lower temps. Right?

Im asking all this shit because a) I dont want to fuck up again and b) I have a lot of spare time right now at my job.
>>
>>1118186
Yes. Personally I would flip the WE if you haven't really used it as you should get a good price.
But I am a GHK whore.
>>
>>1118190
>you should get a good price
Trying to as it hasnt been really used at all other than being a prop at some cons and dry firing there. However people dont want to buy it for a reasonable price as supposedly you can only use GBBs here for merely two months. Which contradicts what anon above said about green gas. What price should I be aiming for? 2/3 of the original or less?
>>
>>1118191
Rule of thumb is 3/4 or original price if in really good condition and then knock money off from there.
Try selling across EU, may find you get a sale
>>
>>1118196
Again thanks a lot anon. Ill get on it and hopefully Ill be able to get a GHK cheap.

On that note though. Are there any other good GBBR manufacturers other than GHK?
>>
>>1118205
GHK has the best reliability after that you're stuck with WE and shit internals or KWA and mags that cost 10 million sheckles.

Good luck anon. Post pics when you get you new raifu.
