>mfw """""people""""" actually thought that a fat samoan manlet could knock out based brock
>>1463368
Fat Samoan is a straight killer. Bork did a good job and Hunt was not aggressive enough. Would probably win a rematch especially in 5 rounds.
Legit Monster
So after Bork won, how much did WWE stock rise?
Is phill the pokemon go, dark souls, and overwatch of /asp/?
>>1463280
>pokemon go, dark souls, and overwatch
Yea, literally shit
>>1463288
/asp/ IS meant to be solely for discussion of wrestling,MMA and other sports.
However, I MUST inform you that your opinion is fucking wrong and you are a faggot kill urself.
He's Perfect Dark, a really great copy, and paste of a superior product, but still is talked about, and memed on a regular basis points
>I CAN SLAP A TORNADO
What did he mean by this?
Kerry Von Erich is a fucking bitch and Brother Nero could fuck him up in five seconds in a real fight.
It was foreshadowing the deletion. Jeff is slapping drones, whose wings move like that of a tornado.

He can hit wind.
>After weeks of a huge power struggle for control of SmackDown Live, WWE’s Chairman returns to Monday Night Raw, tonight at 8/7 C on USA. Will Mr. McMahon weigh in on the recent battle between Stephanie and Shane McMahon? Or does he have a different COO in mind for the blue brand’s latest chapter?
Current Champions

Dean Ambrose
>US Champion

Oh, no, I'm so worried.

>UFC sold for $4 billion
>UFC 200 probably cleared 2 million buys (more than any Wrestlemania ever)
>WWE isn't even worth $1 billion
>WWE ratings and house show figures are the lowest ever
How did UFC become more culturally relevant than WWE? Is it the fact UFC is real?
Yes
Also because they do pro wrestling better than wwe
Because WWE is shit
>>1463249
clever story line based marketing
Does anyone know who bought ufc for 4 billion dollars?
>inb4 no chance

>Trying to make some sense of outlaw wrestling
el oh el
So i just watched the Ricochet vs Ospreay match.
It's not that bad. Only bad thing i would say is It should have been shorter, the nearfalls were annoying and the no sell in some parts but all in all it was a decent match
I have seen tons more "egregious" flippy shit matches that people should have been a lot angrier about than this one.
I really don't understand why everyone lost their shit over this match, both praising it and shitting on it. I have seen probably 20 matches this year alone that were more flippy and nonsensical than this match.
Don't know why everyone on both sides of the fence lost their shit about this match. But hey, Vader wrangled himself a booking out of it, so good for him I guess.
>>1463157
Probably because this was on a grander stage, and far-more accessible.
People can't shit on what they haven't seen.
Also, I just generally don't get why people hate on this.
If you don't like it, that's fine, but saying there's no place in wrestling for stuff like this is nonsensical. Wrestling is scripted, pre-determined, that's the beauty of it: you can do anything you want because it's not a quote unquote "REAL" sport. Whereas real sports are dominated by certain tactics or strategies, people find their niche and pound their opponents into the ground with them, wrestling is not. You can be wacky and ludicrous, use and abuse that to make as multi-faceted a field as possible that panders to any possible interest. And if one particular match isn't your thing? Watch something else, watch a different match, or a different wrestler. That's the beauty of it.
>>1463172
yeah.
Like, the story of this match was the top 2 flippy dudes on Earth being put in a ring to determine who is the best, and then getting into an athletic pissing contest to try and outdo each other.
I really don't see how people don't get this incredibly simple story and go "oh too many flips, not a realistic fight, etc" Basically everything did made sense given the story they were presenting.
This entire match was basically one take John Woo fight sequence in real time, and it fucking ruled, and yes it had psychology and a story to it. And if anyone needs to have it bashed over your head and explained to you, you are just thick and don't get it go back to watching WWE and just kill yourself.
>THE CASUALS LIKE HIM!
Why do you all act like the ''casuals'' are some kind of retarded brainless creature that will like anything wwe tells them to like? You realize that they can form their own opinion too right?
Yes. Casuals are smarter than morbidly obese smarks
>Why do you all act like the ''casuals'' are some kind of retarded brainless creature that will like anything wwe tells them to like?
Because they are.
See every Indian WWE fanpage on Facebook for one example.
>>1462915
exactly, so push someone smarks like since casuals will like them anyway
Do you think WWE should do a special "RAW is WAR" edition of Monday Night Raw, where all the matches are crazy and insane, like a barbed wire match, an electric cage match, an inferno match, a taped fist match, a bra and panties match, a first blood match, and more matches that relives the feel of the attitude era?
nah
no because people will start questioning why they don't do actual entertaining things all the time
>Misawa never wrestled against an American on American soil

Looking forward to watchhing with you /asp/ies.

Seems they caught onto Hendry being a diamond in the rough at least. Honestly I feel like him and Sandow could form a faction/duo of DX-esque popularity if they tried and got the call-ups.
>>1462839
Is this episode in Newcastle too?
Would it?
Becky could easily play this role.
>>1462823
Pretty much any gimmick can work if booked probably and given to the right kind of talent.
So it wouldn't work in the WWE, no.
>>1462825
*properly, not probably
