I've always been of the opinion that 4chan needs an /ag/ - anime general thread.

I mean, look. Mods keep removing threads that seem close to a general. So what other option is there? /c/? /cm/? /u/? Sure, but those are mostly image dumps.That, and boards like the first two have strict no-NSFW rules, whereas a board like /a/ allows exposed breasts.

Generals of series are cancer. I'm all for having threads about boku no hero, snk, etc (because I like these series), but their generals were absolute horse shit and it was impossible to have any meaningful talk because in 3 hours the thread would've been abandoned already.

I am a bit confused. Are say, Cake/Milf threads allowed? Discussing characters from various shows or manga that falls under said traits.
Some might consider them image dumps, but a lot of the time they contain actual discussion related to the respective works the characters come from. And people often find new content to consume this way by learning of the source material of said characters.
