Why is Alola so disgustingly small?
>>31237562
Because you're one of the people who deluded yourself into thinking it would be huge during pre release season.
>>31237562
Will Smalola return?
>>31237562
Because it's the worst region yet.
Still a better love story than Twilight

Am I losing my mind or some shit? Didn't Pelipper have a middle evolution?
I swear on my life I remember seeing one in Emerald when I was younger.
>>31237409
yeah it did
>>31237409
The hell are you talking about? Wingull goes directly to Pelipper.
Do describe what's the 'middle evolution' that you saw though.
>>31237409
It did, but it got retconned

All the jokes have already written themselves. You come up with something original.
>Pokemon 35: Exeggutor
>Hard Mode: No References or Fixes
You know the drill. Pokemon is selected at random daily, you get in this topic, you draw an Exeggutor in MS Paint (or similar program), and post results.

What do you think?
I've decided to start a new play through of platinum.
Here is my team so far:
Goku the Gabite; Nature: Adamant
Nyssa the Gyarados; Nature: Adamant
Harambe the Monferno; Nature: Naive
Rosebud the Roselia; Nature: Timid
Darwin the Staravia; Nature: Modest (I plan on eventually replacing this guy)
Django the Bidoofslave; Nature: Who gives a fuck?
I was thinking of eventually catching a Misdreavous and evolving it to Mismagius and naming it after some porn star.
Rate/suggestions please.

I plan on renaming Goku to "Lord Beerus" when she evolves.
>Harambe

My sister-in-law (pic related) and a good friend of mine is a published author with her work under the HMH label (known for their publications of EarthSea, The Hobbit, Curious George, and many more iconic IPs). You can find her work with a quick search on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or the HMH website itself, if you sleuth well enough. She's currently in the process of finalizing her Pokémon manuscript with her editor.
>Pokémon manuscript? What the fuck?
Nintendo / The Pokémon Company representatives approached her about the project close to two years ago. A series of YA novels based on the characters and world of the Pokémon brand was being put in motion around the time, with multiple authors set to write different stories for English-speaking consumers. The first novel in this proposed series is the one written by my sister-in-law. Currently, it's set for a 2017 Holiday season release, and having just finished reading a copy of the 3rd manuscript draft last night, I'm more than excited to talk about it with some fans/potential readers, as I'm more than proud of her. A disclaimer: the representative attached to her has made it clear that they're far enough along in the process of development that she (my sister-in-law) can openly speak about the novel, excluding press. A press release should be soon, but I wouldn't know when. All I know is the backstory and the manuscript itself.

A tripcode before things get out of hand.
So...what is this, exactly?
>>31237357
A YA (Young Adult) adaptation of the Pokémon games Red/Blue and Gold/Silver/Crystal.
>7 more days until the denialfags get blown out of existence
Tell me anons, what exactly is your proof that we WON'T get a Pokemon title on the switch later this year? Go ahead, I'll wait.
>>31237204
2018-2019 would be the safest bet for me.
It's too soon for a pokemon in Switch.
>one gen on two consoles
absolute heresy
If GF cares enough about it, the Meta would. I mean, the Meta won't really begin until the Bank is out.
Merry Christmas, /vp/!

OH GOD WHY DID WE MAKE POKEMON REAL
WHO THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA
Type-specific attribute discussion thread. Talk about what innate abilities each type should have, like Grass being immune to Leech Seed and Ghost being immune to traps. Try to keep it to types that don't currently have one.
Because each type should have some sort of shenanigan to fuck with people.
Normal:
>NOTHING
Water:
>Getting hit with a Water attack removes their current negative status.
Ice:
>Because being immune to frozen is not enough, innate Water and Ice Absorb.
Fighting:
>Their warrior spirit prevents their Attack and Special attack from being lowered by the opponent.
Ground:
>Can't be removed from the field by an opponent's effect.
Flying:
>The accuracy of their attacks is increased by a flat 5%.
Psychic:
>Innate Anticipation, however it also lets you know if a partner is at risk.
Bug:
>Moves that play off emotions like Fake Tears and Baby Doll Eyes have no effect.
Rock:
>Innate Sturdy. All Rock types that have it as an ability get a new one.
Dragon:
>No idea.
Dark:
>Abilities like Anticipation and Psychic's innate ability will fail, and Moves that never miss have their accuracy dropped to base 90%. (I like the concept on this one but I don't like it honestly. Someone make something better.)
Steel:
>Immune to wind-based attacks.
Fairy:
>Not a fucking clue.
Wow, no one interested in this? Color me surprised.
>>31239229
I'll give you a pity bump, but it's because we have two threads up already that were pretty much discussing the same thing or something similar. Basically bad timing.
>>31239519
Really? Because all I'm saying is a thread talking about moves that have special effects, not the innate attributes of types themselves.
Trade - Battle - Breed - no bully
This thread isn't for Hacks, Clones, or Injections. There are other threads for those.
A more in-depth explanation of how the thread works: http://pastebin.com/8ZKVZfFf
