TDP since the controls are 2% less good than Thief II. Plus the story in the sequel has some continuity, so if you don't want spoilers, then go with the first one. Both are good, but TDP is my favorite.

Okay so I was skipping most of the story at the start but decided to read a quest as I went through it.
What the hell, the story isn't actually half bad. Or should I say the writing. It's not the usual boring drivel I read in an mmo, it has some flavor to it.
I understand they went p2w on some of the model but I'm just looking for something to tie me over for a while and I really dig this instance based dungeon thing going on. Anyone else here still playing or have some other games they would recommend like it?

I wouldn't invest money on it. Like you said, it's P2W now which is sad because it used to be a good game. Devs can't into game balance and the dungeons/nest only gets harder because they jack up the boss's HP and give them lots of insta kill attacks. As you level up, it gets harder to gear up your character and no one wants a scrub with trash gear in their party.
Back then, you can do well with pure skill alone but that's not really possible anymore. Basically, the game become another Korean MMORPG: Lots of grinding, RNG and P2W cash shop.

Bloodeborne is the best soulsborne game. I'm playing through dark souls 1 atm, and god damn is it boring af. The game is so slow paced. Bloodborne spoiled the souls games for me.

After spending over 300 hours on this game I don't think there is another game out there that can fill the deep empty void inside me. I'm playing Bloodborne now, and although its good, it just doesn't have the same feel as the Witcher.
