>normie fighter V
>implying normies play this game
Why is this so much more fun than 5 and 6?
The controls are improved in the sequels yet they feel shittier when you play
>If anything, we arrive at the core of this analysis believing in the cold center of our hearts that the “design by subtraction” that Fumito Ueda speaks of is the only way to make an excellent videogame. We arrive at the conclusion of our list of the Best Games Ever awakened to the fact that Level Design is the most important part of any game, be it an epic cluster of entertainment purposely fashioned to be impenetrable to non-gamers or a sleek and simple rope-like experience. Game designers: think of a single, sharp, spear-like mechanic, stick with it, set it in stone, and then make awesome levels. If there’s a mood you want to go for, keep it in mind. In short: be cool, and you too can make a masterpiece. Even if your single mechanic is amazing, it doesn’t mean anything without great levels. However, even a bare-bones mechanic (like, say, “running and jumping”) can make for spectacular entertainment if the levels are great (Super Mario Bros. 3).
meanwhile RE5 adds enemies with guns.

The game was actually very carefully designed as a cohesive, whole experience. Not just quickly put together while copying the predecessors' hands on controls.
There's quite a bit tongue-in-cheek humor and fun little details, everywhere.

I know its sequel (with the restored content mod) is an exceptional game, but how did we ever end up with it when the first game was such a bland, buggy mess?
Playing the original is an exercise in frustration. The combat often doesn't work, some enemies are invincible because of bugs, Pazaak is too slow, the inventory system is appallingly bad, the ally pathfinding is what you'd expect in a game ten years older than it, the plot is dull, the twist is obvious before you even get to the main part of the game, the companion quests don't work reliably, and it has major graphical glitches and frequently crashes (for me, at least).
What could have possibly warranted a sequel?

>how did we ever end up with it when the first game was such a bland, buggy mess
It followed the beat of the original trilogy
>critical acclaim
>fan acclaim
>second game was always planned
Gee, I dunno.
Because it was fucking STAR WARS. Star Wars is a property that prints money--even TORtanic began turning a profit when they realized they weren't ever going to pull WoW subscriber numbers with such a shitty WoW-clone and instead shifted gears to milk star wars fanboy whales with a jewwy cash shop. BioWare's childish implementation of good and evil in Kotor perfectly meshes with Star Wars' childish view of good and evil. And last but not least it waifubaited with Bastilla (sexy tsundere bitch type in the vein of Viconia and Morrigan) and Mission (cute imouto type in the same vein as Imoen and Tali)
What are your opinions on Polybius and the urban legend surrounding it?
polybius was a greek historian who was interesting because he wrote about the roman empire from an outsider's perspective
>>389315072
Just one of those internet urban legends. They're a diamond dozen.
Played it. It's very overrated.

Is this a game or
Is this the hypest boss battle of all time?
what game

what game
>>389314379
what game
http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/09/09/destiny-2-review
Let's see. IGN is telling people for 6 days they are reviewing this game. Other games they play 1~2 hours and give the score. If the game western and paid they change the score if there is a patch (like Prey and Hellblade)
If they receive a lot of money they wait days for the game to be fixed and to write a long article making everything sound like you should buy the game ASAP
>>389939327
who cares, seriously, everybody tried the beta and we got what we expected, a deplorable game
time to move on
They LOWERED the score
>>389939486
>If I had to score it now, I’d give it an 8.2. That's down from the 8.7 I felt at the end of the campaign yesterday, but still a great score.
Wow 0.5 lowering...
Besides the article is not finished they will settle with 8.4 or 8.5
