Hey /v/
I'm on the lookout for games with similar gameplay to pic related
Something that allows me to manage a group of preferably highly customizable members, with a relatively open world progression.
I've played and completed Tactics Ogre, FF tactics and many other FF titles, so those would be also a good point of reference.
Stuff also doesn't need to be japanese, mind you.
>>385095051
>with a relatively open world progression
I don't think that really applies to FF or most JRPGs really, but okay.
If you want highly customizeable party, look for FF games with job systems like FFV, if you haven't played that one yet.
I also highly recommend Bravely Default, because it's as close as JRPGs get to old school FF games. Great art, music, characters, story and improved old school turn based combat.
DQV, DQVIII, World of Final Fantasy
SMT is the natural progression from FF.
>manage a group of preferably highly customizable members,
Try SMT IV:A. You'll probably like it.
Don't use the Switch app for voice chat or buy the third party mixer/headsets. Send the Switch audio through your PC with just an aux cable.

No.

Haven't played it myself, but the main consensus is that the combat is absolutely horrid. Irredeemable. And that the boss battles are insufferable. Though some reviewers have stated some positives like:
>Story and characters
Mixed reception, but there are reviewers who've cited this as a strong point.
>Visuals
Not a bad looking game, and it actually looks and runs decent on the Vita (relatively-speaking of course).
So I tried Italian voices yesterday,
and I have to say, they are really good.
The characters sound far more natural and less anime-like.
I thought japanese was the superior language in BotW but after a few hours with japanese voice over, I'm really sick of it.
So please try something new, you have subtitles at least.

Is there really a need for voice acting when you're done with the story parts?

Should I aim to S rank every fight on my first playthrough? Is it even possible? Should I try this at all? Does doing so unlock anything?
>>385094454
>Is it even possible?
It's possible, though some fights will be harder and will likely require multiple attempts, e.g. dwarf gunship battle.
>Should I try this at all?
Go for it, the game's overall pretty easy so the added self-imposed challenge is fun and not overwhelming.
>Does doing so unlock anything?
Additional rewards upon battle completion, does not unlock anything beyond that (trophies, optional endings, hidden bosses, etc.).
So I'm stuck on Top o' the Town. I'm trying to do an A-button run and it's been good up until now, but to get the second star I can't use any fewer than 4 A presses. Trying to do 3.5 won't work because for some reason this level wasn't designed with QPUs, so the quadratic angle B when you run up the stairs won't send me to the left and move me.
It always forces Mario back to the primary map and won't let me exit into out of bounds even with a 7 hour speed (not de facto) buildup. I can't even find a guide on it. I think no one else has trouble with it. Can anyone tell me how the hell to do this second star without needing 4 presses?
>>385094373
Are you poorly beating a dead meme over the head right now or did you actually follow Pannenkoek's breakthrough vids well enough to attempt this for yourself?
>>385094373
>trying to do 3.5 won't work because for some reason this level wasn't designed with QPUs
HMC is unquestionably designed for QPUs, but it requires a ton of setup. Top o' the Town is a hassle but its nothing like Watch for Rolling Rocks. I think you can get the Star for TotT sub 1:00:00 and that's with 3 A presses.
Samus is best when this suit stays on.

But anon, what about mypeenusweenus of course
>Garbage Prime design
nah
my dick disagrees
Super Mario Odyssey thread. Post webms/gifs and meme shit.
Are you guys excited for Season 4 and being able to play as her again?
Since it's confirmed to be the final season, how do you think it will play out?
>>385093985
we just had a Clem thread last last night
They're gonna phone it in again. Telltale is one of the most stagnant game devs in recent years. They've made zero improvements since the original Walking Dead.
Same engine, same "gameplay", same linearity, same fake choices. If you actually compare the games Telltale made BEFORE Walking Dead you'll notice those games actually had real mechanics, like actual puzzle solving so not only have they been stagnant, they've actively been recessive.

This, desu.
You all continue to wonder why this game is so popular. it's actually quite simple.
The game has such a large consistent player base because it all revolves aroundgambling
Nigger, it's popular because it's a fun and interesting game to play. You people are so retarded. The reason the game is good and a lot of people enjoy it is because it is simply fun to play for various reasons. Old /v/ would have LOVED this game instead of shitting on it because it's popular.
>>385094015
everything you said does not make my statement of fact null
Reminder that as the amount of people buying/playing a game rises, the lower the standards you have to be to enjoy it.
Is it bad if I'm actually enjoying Resident Evil 6? Anyone in the same boat? I think I need help.
>>385098195
Its dumb but it is fun, who gives a shit what others think just enjoy it.

>>385098195
I enjoy RE6 to an extent. The gameplay is the best yet but pretty underutilized in everything but Mercs, and I actually like playing through Leon and Sherry's campaigns.
