I've never played a Sonic game in my life, other than like the first level of that 3D sonic game on the gamecube. Escape from the city.
Should I buy this game? Looks fun and the nly complaint I see is that it's just a nostalgia grab which is fine by me since I've never played the old ones anyway. And I kinda want something else on the Switch too.

this game is so frustrating. I got to level 65 and had to upgrade gear, so I got a new chest but it had 20 less DEX so now I can't use two of my gems so I need another new piece of gear, I find a ring thats decent but now I get 30 less resistance to cold.
I get a new helmet but I can't fucking get the right color on the sockets so I can't fucking use it.
like holy shit, instead of looking forward to new gear I am dreading it since it means hours of downtime to get everything in order.
tldr: inventory and item managment takes up 90% of your time.

This isn't much of an achievement but my friend was shocked to find about it.

disappointing if you liked JC2 and wanted a real sequel
incredibly fun to fuck around with once you get some upgrades (which means the early game is a realtively unfun pain in the ass)
i never played the DLC and have no idea if it comes with the PS+ version
