>I break into Tiffany's at midnight. Do I go for the vault? No, I go for the chandelier. It's priceless. As I'm taking it down, a woman catches me. She tells me to stop. It's her father's business. She's Tiffany. I say no. We make love all night. In the morning the cops come and I escape in one of their uniforms. I tell her to meet me in Mexico but I go to Canada. I don't trust her. Besides, I like the cold. Thirty years later, I get a postcard. I have a son and he's the chief of police. This is where the story gets interesting: I tell Tiffany to meet me in Paris, by the Trocadero. She's been waiting for me all these years; she's never taken another lover. I don't care, I don't show up. I go to Berlin. That's where I stashed the chandelier.
Can someone explain this shit to me?
it's perfectly simple and explained in detail
what do you want?
it's just dwight's character being lol so random

Is the director's cut the way to go?
>>84492772
The theatrical cut is basically unwatchable
>>84492804
why
>>84492772
Of coursh.
So, what's up with all the twitching black bars?
>>84492656
I realized that too, it's actually the different type of aspect ratio in each of the camera they use for the movie.
Might be the difference of lens/aspect ratio settings of wide angle or telephoto lens between IMAX camera or the 3D camera or the normal camera they used.
but the inconsistencies does bugs me.
>>84492656
I used to wonder why they didn't shoot the entire movie with IMAX cameras but they are so loud you can't record the actors dialogue.

Finally went and saw this in my local cinema.
It wasn't as /litty/ as The Rock says it is..
Shame.
Would you let rock fuck you for $1000?

>shaved ape and twink manlet at the front of the poster and the women and fattie shoved to the background
and this movie wasn't a success?
>>84492356
I think it would hurt too much.
$1 million and I'd knock myself out for him.
You guys plan on picking anything up during the upcoming 50% off sale?
Does the sale also concern Criterion UK releases? Just bought Lone Wolf and Cub boxset
>>84492384
I actually have no clue it's through Barnes and Noble. I don't know if you guys have those in the UK or not.

> ""buying"" movies
> <current year>
There is literally no reason to buy discs anymore. Let studios pick up the pennies from streaming. The days for $30 dvds are over.
If you like criterion so much, just get a FilmStruck account or pirate what you need.
I should have just lurked on this board, like a mute!

Shit cost them 250000 to film this. Most people I know didn't realize the oddity of the scene
>>84492295
Such a weird decision too. Like they could have killed her off screen, and it'd actually work better as well as saving them money.

>Svetlana calls Tony and says mom was talking about snitching
>Tony smash.jpg
>drives down there at top speed, giving no regard for his own safety or anyone else's
>kicks in the fucking front door screaming for her
>rushes upstairs and into her room and sees her on the bed not moving
>all the anger drains away and Tony starts to laugh and laugh until tears running down his face and he just keeps laughing as the camera pans out to the front of the house
Anyone else have a loose idea for a TV show, but not sure where to go with it?
more like a loose idea for a lot of stories and haven't done anything with them yet
>>84492095
Lots of movie ideas that I can't be bothered fleshing out. But I think some of them could be really good if I ever find the motivation
>Come up with a good idea for a character in my head
>have no plot, theme or arc for said character but still tell myself I'd be a better tv show creator than those in Hollywood and the only reason I haven't succeeded at it is because of Jewish nepotism
>use that fantasy to cope with being 39, living with my parents still and working night shifts in a gas station with no hope of anything changing
I use to be so good at lying to myself but it's getting increasingly harder to keep reality out

What's the scariest movie you've ever seen? Pic related is the one for me.
Eyes wide shut threads are kino
Unironically this. The scene in the black room terrified me, especially when the violins go crazy.

Do Mike and Jay really hate Rich or is it just for show?
Yes.
Rich was a crack baby. He's damaged goods. Mike and Jay know this.
>>84491598
Mike doesn't like him because he is more likable than him, and doesn't suck up to him like Jay. Jay pretends not to like him because Mike doesn't.

Is it possible to truly appreciate and understand film without ever having experienced love?
when so much of cinema (particularly art house cinema) revolves around human relationships and intimacy and desire, how can you really claim to understand it when you have no frame of reference or experience yourself?
Is it possible to truly appreciate superhero movies without having super powers?
Is it possible to truly understand death in a movie without killing yourself?
I was going to watch the dark knight rises but they didn't let me in because i was too small of a guy
>>84491370
If you have high autism levels then no, you cant appreciate and understand something that doesnt resonate with your own experiences.
If you are a normal functioning human with a little something called empathy and theory of mind then you can appreciate film about things you havent experienced yourself.
I can never make it pass the first five minutes of Y Tu Mama Tambien.
