>“We’ve got some pretty wild traps in the film — we don’t shy away from the gore,” says Michael Spierig. “It’s such a perfect Halloween scarefest. It’s perhaps not quite as vicious and more fun, which is something we tried to inject into it. But it’s still full of good fun gore, that’s for sure. And, on top of that, it’s got a really great mystery, and there’s very interesting twists. It’s ‘Saw’ for 2017.”

>Franchise star Tobin Bell is set to have an autograph signing at the San Diego Comic-Con, so a teaser trailer could arrive just in time for the convention. Like all of the films before it, Jigsaw will arrive just ahead of Halloween, debuting on October 27.

>The upcoming sequel, which fittingly comes seven years after Saw: The Final Chapter, will star Laura Vandervoort (Bitten, Smallville) and Hannah Anderson (Shoot the Messenger, Lizzie Borden Took an Ax). Additional cast members have yet to be confirmed. The feature was shot mostly in secret last fall.

>The eighth Saw movie is directed by Michael and Peter Spierig (Daybreakers) from a script by Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg (Piranha 3D, Sorority Row) alongside original creators James Wan and Leigh Whannell. Mark Burg, Gregg Hoffman, and Oren Koules are producing, as they have on all the previous films in the franchise.

She appears in, like, five minutes of the film, sure, she says some SJW things, but they are not the main point of the film, and, at least, she isn't Mary Jane Watson in a lavish way. >Originally announced back in June 2014 by Fox, director/writer Shane Black (Iron Man 3) wrapped up filming The Predator back in June. Whilst the details of the plot have been kept under total secrecy, various teases and small details have inevitably leaked online and started rumors about things which may or may not be included in the finished film. Jake Busey is said to be playing the son of Gary Busey’s character from Predator 2, while some set photos showed the Predator riding in a tank. And yet we still don’t officially know how or if the story will acknowledge the past films in the franchise. We do know that it has an incredible cast – one which Keegan-Michael Key joined back in January.

>Key made some interesting comments about the film when talking to EW. Referring to its relationship to the 1987 original, he says;

>“Predator was a real privilege to do, and if people think they’re going to see a remake of the original movie, they’re in for a surprise, A very pleasant surprise … It’s not a sequel… It certainly lives in the universe of the five films that were made. I think that’s probably the best way to say it and the only way I can say it right now.”
