I saw it 4 times in theaters.
It's a good moovie
How much longer do you think until full 3D movies can be produced cheaply and look good enough to capture audiences like movies in theaters do today? Not necessary real-to-life looking, but stylized in a cartoon-like way that is acceptable for non-children's movies, like comedies and sci-fi. Also, how much longer do you think movie theaters have to live before full at-home viewing services put them out of business?

Indefinitely - further, they are going to expand, not collapse. More modelling tools are being developed everyday and the "skill" is becoming less demanding year by year. Take into account Mocap technologies - "full 3d movies" as a medium isn't going away anytime soon.
Audiences are lost by shitty story/writing (and voice acting) not by the medium.
Any Idris Elba fans here? I always get really excited whenever he's in a film.
I always meme about him, but do like him.
>inb4 He's good for a nigger
He's about to see how quick these white people turn on him once that terrible 95 minute Gunslinger movie comes out.
What was the key to its wild popularity?
People will watch anything by Disney + it was semi good
No forced diversity

Good music
Should I watch Twin Peaks /tv/?
Yes. You should probably enjoy the first episode if you're going to like the show, but I'd recommend watching the first two to really judge it. Season one is only 8 episodes, so you can get through that easy enough, and hopefully enjoy it, or at least now you've seen an influential TV show. People say a lot of shit about season two, but honestly most of it is still above-average TV, even if not Lynch kino.
Watch until end of ep3 and see if you like it then
If so, keep watching, it gets really shit in Season 2 but it gets WAY better. Watch the movie after Season 2, then watch Season 3.

If you're expecting it to be anywhere near as good as Who Shot Mr Burns? you'll be disappointed.
Does anyone know how the revenue of a movie works? I'm confused because when I look at the Warcraft film's wikipedia page it says Budget $160 million and Box office profit $433.7 million. Yet I find articles like this one stating that the the movie is going to lose them $15 to $40 million. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-analysis-warcraft-avoids-910268
Does the budget not including marketing and all the external production costs?
Domestic vs foreign

Chinese money isn't worth anything. Also, getting it back into the US incurs multiple tax-like penalties which aren't called taxes. So, things might get shifted around a bit. You may hear this called Hollywood accounting, but it's really just business. If a movie only makes money in China it's a piece of shit.

Nice dubs. Care to clarify?
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/amp/heat-vision/shazam-is-next-dc-movie-shoot-102
> The project is looking to go before cameras in January or February 2018 with a likely release in 2019, sources say.
>Shazam!, the story about a boy-turned-Earth's mightiest mortal, looks to be the next DC Cinematic Universe movie that will go before cameras, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.
>David Sandberg, the filmmaker behind upcoming Annabelle: Creation, is directing the feature project that hails from Warner Bros.’s sister division, New Line. The project is looking to go before cameras in January or February 2018 with a likely release in 2019, according to sources.
>Peter Safran, who worked with Sandberg on the Annabelle sequel and is also producing Aquaman, is in negotiations to board Shazam! as producer.
>It is unclear whether Dwayne Johnson, who has long been attached to play Shazam! villain Black Adam, will be involved with Shazam! but he is attached as star and producer of the Black Adam spinoff that is being developed concurrently to Shazam!
>Warner is feeing revived in its DCU with the stunning success of Wonder Woman and earlier this week slotted two DC movies in the release calendar for 2020. It has several movies teeing up on the runway but at this stage, Shazam! will take off first. Flash was delayed due to it lacking a director while a sequel to Wonder Woman is only in the early treatment writing stage. Joss Whedon is overseeing post-production and re-shoots on Justice League and won’t be ready to tackle a Batgirl film until after that movie is out the door. A sequel to Suicide Squad, which is closing in a on a director, is eyeing a mid-2018 start.

ITT your longest binge:
I spent the last week watching tv shows from the moment I woke up til the moment I went to sleep.
I ordered pizzas in between but other than that I didn't stop watching.
Funny part is that I don't actually think this is the worst binge I've ever indulged in.
I think I have a problem with depression or perhaps I'm just stupid. I definitely lack self-control.
