How much longer do you think until full 3D movies can be produced cheaply and look good enough to capture audiences like movies in theaters do today? Not necessary real-to-life looking, but stylized in a cartoon-like way that is acceptable for non-children's movies, like comedies and sci-fi. Also, how much longer do you think movie theaters have to live before full at-home viewing services put them out of business?

Indefinitely - further, they are going to expand, not collapse. More modelling tools are being developed everyday and the "skill" is becoming less demanding year by year. Take into account Mocap technologies - "full 3d movies" as a medium isn't going away anytime soon.
Audiences are lost by shitty story/writing (and voice acting) not by the medium.
Just cut to the point anon, you want to know when moana tier VR fap simulators will be a thing.

I used to be a huge cad fag, I watch shitty kids movies because subdivisions make my dick hard.
Audiences are already exposed to "non kid friendly 3D animation" through video games. Theres horror, thrillers, comedies. Not long until big blockbusters will have animation aimed for older audiences.
