Good
>great acting from tom cruise
>mummy was hot
>parts of the movie was fun and lighthearted action
Bad
>tone all over the place: switches randomly between lighthearted action and serious drama
>set in modern day, missing the adventure feeling of 1999 mummy
>it is clear from the beginning that mummy is inredeemably evil, no real moral conflict in movie
>mummys powers never defined, she can basically do whatever plot demands
>heroes only survive due to thick plot-shield, there is no sense of danger
>romance between protagonists feels forced: the movie fails to explain why they have such deep feelings for each other
>dr jekyll has no real purpose in the movie
>mummys offer has no appeal: cruise isn't portayed as a man who would desire to become god, nor does he have any reason to trust mummy
>movie full of exposition despite a generic "evil-awakes" plot
>yet the movie fails to explain important details, like how cruise knew that stabbing himself would let him control the powers
>201x reboot
>it's shit
Color me surprised.

Thoughts on the trailer? L is apparently a nignog, Willam Defoe voices Ryuk
>Light is now special needs school shooter tier
>L is black
>Misa is Stacey
Why do Americans have to ruin everything?
>>85509163
seriously? why would they want to sabotage their work?
>>85509163
Really have no problem with Stanfield being cast as L because he's a good actor. Defoe as Ryuk is good casting too.
Was Step Brothers (2008) the point where John C. Reilly stole all of Will Ferrel's power?
>Ferrel hot shit in the early 2ks
>Career in steep decline for last decade
>Reilly can literally do nothing wrong, appears in superhero movies regularly and brings home kino after kino
>>85208080
John c Reilly has been in movies forever. And has had a variety of roles outside being the eternal man child retard. Same can not be said for meme Elf boy

This show was better than I thought. It's on the CW, and it's a bit "Emotional-centric" but it's rather brilliant that even after 4 seasons, something new, exciting, and surprising happens on the show. What are your opinions, for those who have seen it?
yeah its good, its one of the best shows on the cw
>Abbie is still alive.
The only reason I keep watching is because I want her to so hard.
I haven't got around the the recent season, was it good?
Why are some TV revivals considered a direct continuation of the old seasons, while some others are considered brand news series? Examples:
>Twin Peaks: new series, revival is "The Return"
>X-Files: continuation, revival is Season 10
>Heroes: new series, revival is "Heroes Reborn"
>Prison Break: continuation, revival is Season 5
>Gilmore Girls: new series, revival is "A Year in the Life"
Also, let's say the announce aLOSTrevival, how would you react? Could it work? NoLindelof[/involved].
it's all the same shit
It's kinda like the autists arguing what's cannon or not. The average viewer wants to be entertained and sometimes it's easier to start with a blank slate. Brand recognition is what matters anyway.
And I rather not see anything Lost related again. I don't think they could capture that feeling so they should just do something "original".

Can we all agree Varga is the best villain Fargo's ever had?

I loved the first two seasons of Louie and so did /tv/. I haven't bothered to watch the other seasons because the hiatus deflated my interest, then he appeared on SNL and was so unfunny I haven't been interested in anything he's done since.
Is this show still good? Inb4 IBG memes; Louie was universally loved on /tv/ before it became cool to hate him.
