>FBI investigated a group of Dungeons and Dragons players as part of the Unabomber case
https://www.muckrock.com/news/archives/2017/jun/19/fbi-dnd/
Thoughts?
That's fair. If one of my friends committed a terrorist attack, I would be disappointed if I didn't get asked about my relationship with them by the FBI. From an investigative perspective it makes sense.

>Thoughts?
The Secret Service raided Steve Jackson's office because they thought his GURPS Cyberpunk book was connected to cyberterrorism.
Your link isn't shocking in the least.
What is the wildlife like in your setting, anon?
>>54783689
Extremely pretty. Ultra fast. VERY dangerous.

Show me your favorite dice or your rolls will die in their sleep tonight
Bumping with cool dice and what I know about them. Please respond.
Here are dice that have gone through outgassing, which is a process wherein trapped gasses seep, expand or chemically decay and force themselves to the surface of an object, causing warping in lots of early plastics.
Some of these dice might be made of casein as well, which is made out of treated milk protein and can literally decay or warp due to warm climes or sloppy handling. I don't know exactly which is shown in these pictures but they're fascinating all the same.
>>54783712
More outgassed
These look tasty in a weird way
>>54783712
>>54783754
they look like they came right out of a nightmareish, partially underwater alternate plane of reality reached during a late 80s acid trip
they make me very uncomfortable
Do you look look back with fondness no the past or forward with wonder to the future?
But I like both ancient cultures and sci-fi.
When the history of our glory is written, the Stelliferous Era shall only be a footnote upon our magnificence.

Thanks to the foetal alcohol syndrome I can look in both directions at the same time.
Drows or Dark Elves? Which ones are better? Which ones do you prefer?
>>54779512
Drow. They have more definition, more going for them.
>>54779512
Dark Elves. Drow are such comically dysfunctional assholes that it's a wonder some zealots haven't wiped them out in a Crusade already
>>54779512
Dark Elves.
Drow are just laughably stupid. They're like a parody of themselves with how childishly edgy and stupidly dysfunctional they are. Anyone who thinks they're in any way better than dark elves is has to be a moron with the mindset of a teenager.
What is the point of anything if azatoth is just going to wake up one day anyway

Welcome to nihilism, where the universe will stop existing one day and life doesn't matter.
You'll get your T-shirt and a rope to hang yourself with (if you ever man up and do it) in about a week.
How do human/demon couples fare in your setting, /tg/? Are they impossible? Subjected to intense hostilty? Accepted? Outcasts?
Demons are the embodiment of evil. They can't have functioning relationships in the way humans normally do.
I can only imagine you think a demon-human couple would involve some smug handsome demon with some cutesy little farm girl, or a little demon loli with some smitten adventurer, when in reality it'd be more like dating a psychopath who physically and emotionally abuses you.
In conclusion, if you want to be edgey, just do and stop creating reasons why your character is a snowflake.
>>54777590
Demons are a malignant cancer festering in a space between our reality and non-existance. While they can have personalities, those are for the most part stitched together from what they have observed during their visits to our realm, such as secrets gleaned from a summoners mind. Most of them default to brutal violence if not bound by a summoning pact (and, strictly speaking, most are not smart enough to do anything but do violence even then) while a few are smart enough to attempt manipulation and deceit, but still lack anything even remotly resembling a human concept of reality and existance.
A relationship with a demon is not only pointless, it is also self-destructive and harmful, since the only demons that would actually enter such a union would be those cunning manipulators.
Also, nearly all demons have really weird forms, from animated horned amoeba wielding whips and tiger-bulls with beaks and six monkey arms to flying kraken-whales that
Which, overall, is not to say that it hasn't happened, because fucking (and being fucked by) everything is the most human thing anyone could attempt. Just don't expect any relationships out of it.
>>54777590
>human/demon couples
Demons and devils are incapable of feeling love. Any emotional attachment they may seem to have towards you is purely for manipulative purposes.
Twins they were.
>>54777530
So, the one on the right is the one with the penis then, since that's the only one holding a beer.
Are those Eleanor and Genevieve? They scrub up well.
>>54777622
Yup, that they are.
what is your general design philosphy when working on your campaigns?
"Hey, this would be cool. Will it be fun for the players?"

what stories do I enjoy?
how to make them like the stories I like?
how to quickly change the plot if they wouldn't like the story so far?
how can I teach them something interesting by making direct connections with our world history or mythology, so they will learn something new each session?

- Welcome to Sunset.
- You play Greys, humanoid robots who can change their class, race, and anything else on your character sheet trough magical batteries called cores. It's set in Neon, the last civilized city in the world. Outside it's walls is The Creep, a deadly and corrupted land filled with dungeons, ruins, and the mad survivors of lost civilizations.
- A video game fantasy setting where the world is cut up into "Zones", theme park-like worlds abandoned to monsters and filled with treasure. The game takes place in an MMO-style world where all the stats, classes, and races are physical, in-settings things you can swap out in game.

This is just a test run for me as I'm new to DMing. Starship troopers RPG is heavily combat focused if you don't know the setting somehow.
>>54775377
Not familiar with the system but is the setting the book's awesome powered armour or the shitty movie adaptation's soldiers?
What is it about mercenaries that just makes fa/tg/uys fall all over themselves in love and adoration?
What is it about war criminals that gets /tg/ all hot and bothered?
>>54773404
I don't think /tg/ likes mercenaries at all. Like, it's not a thing that I've seen.
>>54773429
>A mercenary is a person who takes part in an armed conflict who is not a national or party to the conflict and is "motivated to take part in the hostilities by desire for private gain"
Almost every PC that I've seen on /tg/ is a mercenary
It creates a situation which both focuses on the martial/magical/stealth skills of the PCs as individuals, while at the same time giving them the ability to make a maximum number of choices relevant to the plotline.
SoH and AL tactics were discussed, IF-anon received some sage advice, armies were paraded and a few people are new to the setting. All this and more at the last thread >>54730430

I had one of these, but she was a huge weeb so she would always bring delicious Japanese treats.
Infinity is a 28mm scale futuristic skirmish game by Corvus Belli where not arming yourself properly against men (and women) of faith can be a FATAL mistake.
