When
The darting action is sure to intensify on the Fylde coast as the World Matchplay at Blackpool's Winter Gardens enters the last 16 stage. The winning mark has been slightly increased, with it now being the first to 11.
A very sedate match starts off Round 2 as unorthodox Serbo-Austrian Mensur Suljovic takes on the slow clogger Justin Pipe. The Gentle rather suitably gently made his way to victory over wobbling behemoth John Henderson with the Force (Of Friction) took advantage of Jelle Klaasen's recently repaired wanking wrist to annoyingly make it through. With Suljovic only beating Pipe on 2 occasions in 10, he'll need to hope the Taunton troglodyte has a torrid time.
The surprise fixture of the last 16 follows with angry inbred midget Darren Webster against Scumbag Brother Steve West. Norfolk's smallest man claimed a sensational come-from-behind victory over James Wade with his Essex opponent taking advantage of yet another Michael Smith TV tantrum. Given the superior big stage experience of Demolition Manlet, this should Simply be the end of West.
World #2 and whining Scotsman Gary Anderson meets ultra-chinned Ulsterman Daryl Gurney in a repeat of their classic 2016 Worlds showdown, amongst other TV meetings. Both players won against Dutch opposition in round 1: Gando averaged just shy of 102 versus Christian Kist, with Superchin coming from 9-7 to eliminate Benito van de Pas. Assuming neither man is still suffering from "jetlag" after returning from Las Vegas, this should be a great fixture.
Ending the evening are World #3 and fake Scotsman Peter Wright and Tenerife's Cristo Reyes. In what was a torturous struggle, Clownman eventually got the better of James Wilson while the Spartan's 101 average was too much for the cursed Robert Thornton. Wayne Mardle has picked Cristo to win this, so you can be guaranteed he won't as Wright will fluke through somehow like he always does.
Coverage starts from 7:00pm UK time on the new-look Sky Sports Action channel.

>Association Football can be considered like a real time, human chess game
is football the greatest sport ever?
I would put bishops as wingers, pawns as backfour, rooks as defensive midfielders and the queen as a number 10. Springer as a striker and king as the goalkeeper seems allright.
Furthermore I think handegg is more like chess than divegrass. In handegg the coaches use their pieces (the players) to outmanoeuvre each other. There is also time between each play to think about the next one. In divegrass it's the pieces (the players) who make the major decisions and the coaches provide structure. In terms of chess you could say the players represent the tactical aspect and the coaches represent the positional aspect but overall handegg fits better desu
I think so

Hi /sp/. Kind of new to this board, and a bit unsure of the general opinion on FPL, but I'll give this a go anyways.
FPL is debuting their new "FPL Draft" feature this year, and I was wondering if a few of us would want to do a league of 8-12 people, /sp/ only. The draft is scheduled for Saturday the 29th, 21:00 UTC, 4:00 pm EST in the US.
If any of you are interested, the link to join is below:
