How do i take a girl /out/?
Going for an overnight this weekend and need advice.

In pieces

it's notworth it. but if you insist, ease hwr into it. start with car camping in a state park or national park.
but it really isn't worth it and you might lose your /out/ buddies if you start letting her come. I refuse to play golf with women and am almost there for backpacking too.
I want a remote Western US camping experience, is Yellowstone a good option? Has anyone gone /out/ there? Any advice?
The west is huge, so it depends on your taste, there is something for everyone.
Yellowstone is a pretty popular destination, but I'm sure you can get away from the crowds if you go deep enough.
>>915480
This anon has the right idea.
Go deep, go very deep.
The only issue with backcountry camping in a place like Yellowstone or Glacier is you pretty much have to submit your request for campsites months ahead of time. Whereas if you go to a wilderness area like the Bob Marshall or Beartooth-Absaroka, you can go wherever you want whenever you want.
When I am winter camping , I hate to get out of the tent to pee at night so I use my nalgene bottle sometimes and just make sure to clean it out well in the morning. This freaks my GF right the fuck out .
She says it is disgusting, unsafe and unsanitary.
I say that urine is sterile and since I clean the bottle so well that you cant taste pee, everything is fine.
Will you guys back me up on this?
>>914884
I back you up.
Break her in gentle and soon enough you'll be boiling her blood cup and peeing in her mouth!
Good luck!
>>914884
no you are retarded. buy a cheap collapsible sealable canteen bag and use it just for that. the cheap ones are like 5 bucks. or use the tried and true gatorade bottle if you have the room.
>>914884
My father's buddy used to keep a thermos and two Nalgene son him when he went hunting.
>1 Nalgene blue
Water
>2nd Nalgene red
For piss
>Thermos
Coffee and typically a flask as well.
I think it's a pretty solid system if you have a pack with you for hunting.

I wish my experience getting to school was like this.
>>914414
you forgot to mention your racecar bed.
You forgot to mention how you had to go uphill the whole way home too
>>914199
Don't hate, I get the "Morning after" bagel there all the time. Top notch.
Also my plan is to hit as many of these lists as I can tomorrow. So if anyone wants to help, or hit a list, tonight's your night!

Getting ready here too matey. my ee revelation gets here today, so excited
>>914267
Looks good.
is this the right place to show off ur ded bird collection?
>>914221
Sure. Just watch out for the hippies.
>>914221
i really like their moisture wicking shirts too.
>>914228
And the jelly, poorfag haters.
Im starting work as a seasonal fire fighter for Grayback Forestry next summer.
What boots do you all recommend for a reasonable price?
>>913702
Grayback is a good company.
Get yourself a pair of white's. Make sure the sole is nailed in.
See you out there!
>>913702
fireproof ones
Honestly if you're going to be on your feet a lot, a lighter pair with a soft sole will save your knees and joints. You should be able to press your fingernail into the sole pretty easy.
Outdoor hobbies seem to cost a lot more than indoor hobbies.
Is there anyway to hunt/fish/hike and get paid for it, even if your not very good at it, but have tons of "free" time?
I'm a farmer, I count how many cows I have in the morning, if they're all there, I do whatever I want.
Then I sell some and make money,
I could literally get away with 7 hours work per week and earn $50k a year
>if your not very good at it, but have tons of "free" time
you just described a good majority of the idiots on youtube
>also you're
>>913169
Not really. Closest you could get is working for Fish and Wildlife, and that's depending on a lot of factors and what job you have and so on, and even then you're not camping, hunting, and fishing for your job.
Hello, welcome to this thread again. Here you can get to know a bit about being a worthless plague on society, and have a fun time while doing it!
Ask questions, shitpost, send me $5, whatever
Any homeless bros ever come to Lincoln Nebraska? We have many railroads but have heard homeless travelers call it stinking Lincoln before so I wonder if it's a miserable place for that
>>908484
Where is dis?
I am very jealous of vagrants
Is there anything better then canned soup
>>905238
>>905239
an android sex robot?
>>905238
>Is there anything better then canned soup
Yes, it's called non-canned soup.
Any of you sc/out/s has the victorinox trailmaster? How do you like it? Also how hard would be to regrind those serrations off only with sandpaper?
>>918822
But that's a trekker not a trailmaster?
And they make a non-serrated version of it already?
wat
>>918822
Don't ruin that knife anon. Trade it in or cherish it for what it is and get a different blade someday. But don't go fucking around with it like that, you'll just fuck it all up.
>>918851
I mistook the name, anyhow the non serrated version is cucked as fuck so it's not one handed opening.
Have you ever been hassled by local yokels while /out/?
>>918686
I live in an area with nothing but rednecks. Going out is nothing but a hassle. That photo is literally a prime example and I'm not fucking joking in the slightest.
>>918713
Yeah, dude. Why get upset about LOCALZ ONLY!!! retards trying to hold public land as their own private property.
Little faggots at the skatepark are less territorial than local hicks.
Merry Christmas /out/! What do you need to get started with urban exploration? I really want to start doing this but I have no experience:(
there are requirements for trespassing?
>>918590
This interests me as well. There are two cranes that are fairly secluded by a new development near my house that I'd like to climb. They're right by the highway so I'd have to do it at night, but then again I don't want to fall and die.
>>918590
Headlamp and maybe some 3M dust masks if you care about asbestos n shit.
Also a grappling hook
This is a bear track right? (can only be black bear)
>>918244
And this is coyote track?
>>918245
Or someone's dog. The first pic, yes, it's a bear. Kind of a small bear actually. My favorite are bigfooters that think they found a track...But it's a bear print overlapping back onto front. Its hilarious.
