This album is better than any reunion Swans album.
Wanna really get into alternative R&B after listening to this, any suggestions?
The Weeknds pre-BBTM works
JMSN's whole discography
Majid Jordans debut
Gallant

Thanks senpai
Frank is the only alternative R&B worth listening to unless you count Miguel
>be me
>finally talk to this girl I've been having a crush on

ENEMIES GOTTA LOT OF ENEMIES
Show her some accessible but good shit and blow her mind
easy way to the poon anon
different anon here. texting a cuteish german girl on kik and turns out she listens to kanye, old b.o.b, example, skepta, and german rap. We've already discussed the English rappers a d stuff and I wanna reply but can't until I've listened to it but I don't have the data to look it up and don't have wifi for another week. this is what she texted me
"Kein Geld or So High by SXTN are cool female rapper chill songs if you want to look them upp
and for dude rappers I like Statements by Bass Sultan Hengzt and Tausend Gründe by Bushido :)"
can some dedicated anon listen and tell me how these songs are?
I think so, dude's always been the laughing stock one way or another.
he already attempted suicide with this line:
>Em, you claim your mother's a crackhead
>And Kim is a known slut
>So what's Hailie gonna be when she grows up?
Blacks don't have existential crisis's and rarely kill themselves as artists.

Eminem has never feuded with a good rapper. Cage blew him the fuck out and Em never showed up to battle. He wrote about almost dissing Lil Wayne and Kanye for being popular but backed down. Eminem is a fucking pussy that goes after boybands and Disney girls and irrelevant retards like Ja Rule and Moby and Kevin Federline.
>tfw I could have been listening to The Rolling Stones all these years
what band was it for you /mu/
>>72479089
>This is the sound of my soul
>This is the sound...
Spandau Ballet.
Wait, what do you mean, like you never heard the Stones before and you just listened to them and had a revelation? Or like you're embarrassed that you used to like the Stones until /mu/ told you they're not cool?
>>72479243
first one. I've always known a few of their songs but only recently dove into them, amazing stuff
I'd like to listen to an album that's essentially an angrier, more lo-fi version of the Malcom In The Middle Theme. Does anything like what describing exist and is it good?

i don't know, can you repeat that question?
Man I miss that show...I remember always watching it after school and loving it...man it's giving me nostalgia.

i'm looking for my next big obsession, /mu/
help me out and rec me an album you think is incredible
Starfucker - Starfucker
You should listen to Thin Lizzy
Why is there no thread for this?
Anyone else listened to the album yet? Thoughts? Favorite track? I think this is a quality album, though slightly less good than the original Slowdive albums from the 90s. Basically it's the Slowdive equivalent of the newer MBV album.

Really loved the first track. The rest ranged from good to meh.
>>72478499
It's very good. Better than I expected but not an AOTY contender imo. 7/10.
Haven't listened to it, I'm hearing mixed things on it. Some really love it, some hate it, and others find it in between. I'm hoping it's not a total blunder
>dude I'm so smart and rational lmao
falls under the category of "smart, but not as smart as you'd think"

It's funny how Zappa made a couple decent albums (and a ton of obnoxious crap) and then seems to feel that it justifies his attitude that he is God's gift to his humanity.
The funny thing is that his political views are pretty valid, but it's his smug attitude that makes him completely insufferable.
>Zappa: DUDE PEOPLE LIKE STUFF LMAO
>Carl Marx: No! No! NO!!!!!!!!!!!
I just realized how beautiful this album is. How can something sound so spiritual and yet so futuristic at the same time? This surely is his opus.
babby's first opn core
it's fine but seriously delve into his discography more before you hold it up as his best
>>72478557
>babby's first opn
But that's Replica, his most critically acclaimed. Drop the elitist attitude, we're talking about a pitchfork approved artist here.

stop replying to be babby
Is this the only good post-grunge album ever?
It may be the best, probably not the only good one though.
https://youtu.be/zUB9sWmUYnY
Seeing these guys with Hum and Nothing was probably the highlight of '16 for me.
what is his best album?
oh its one i havent released
its the best album anyone has ever made and i wont release it because i am aphex twin and i do mad pranks like that yeah
Not Drukqs. Everyone only remembers the handful of good/great songs on that album but never the album as a whole. Insane amount of filler and songs that exist just to test your patience. Nobody can tell me with a serious face that they listen to the entirety of Drukqs every time they're in the mood for the album. If an album makes me skip certain songs every single time, it's not a great album.

Selected Ambient Works 85–92
>mount eerie about Phil having died in the glow pt 2 and being a ghost
>album cover says "mount eerie"
>m and e cut off
>"me" cut off
>phil is detached from reality
huh, i never thought of it like that?
Having said that I own the album on vinyl and CD, the CD comes with a large fold out booklet that even when folded back up the M and E get cut off, it does seem intentional? but also maybe not? Hard to say. the fold out has a large drawing on it so it's possible that when making the schematics or whatever for the CD a mistake was made so it appears that way. The full words can be seen when the booklet is folded out

>>mount eerie about Phil having died in the glow pt 2 and being a ghost
doesn't he die in Mount Eerie though?

At the end of Samurai Sword he's mauled by the bear that is his girlfriend, and in My Warm Blood he bleeds out. He does greet the reaper (the black ship) in The Sun though.
