ITT: albums that sound better horribly compressed
>>73584532
No album sounds good when you have actual depression. You physically aren't motivated to listen to anything or enjoy anything

fpbp
Fuck you and your meme compression
>>73584826
I've had manic compression for 15 years and I can say this is totally wrong.
Why is hip-hop such a polarizing genre? People either tend to like it or immediately reel in disgust when it's mentioned. Even on this board it seems like it can be difficult to discuss hip hop albums because somebody attempts to derail a thread by calling hip hop trash or immature.
This also applies to the population at large; you'll hear people say they "listen to everything but rap-" writing off dozens of artists they might enjoy simply because they're in the same genre as a few artists they dislike. You don't hear shit like this when people are discussing rock music.
Is it because hip hop is one of the newer genres to emerge into mainstream music? Is it because people can't relate to the lyrics? It is racism (I've heard people write it off because it's "nigger music")? I want to discuss this because I've gotten into hip hop in the past 6 months or so and I've seen a lot of this when I talk about it with my friends or coworkers.
A. People are racist
B. Rappers are lowlife
If you think any different then you're dreaming
>>73584486
Because it's the most relevant genre in the mainstream right now and there's a lot of trash that's kind of representing the genre
Plus a lot of people are just racist
>>73584513
>Rappers are lowlife
Do I need to prove you wrong with my extensive knowledge of MF Doom?

Post an album that you had never seen posted on /mu/ that you now see posted pretty frequently after you made a thread about it.

Dumb fucking idiot moron
>>73584411

Are Death Grips cryto-fascist?
>>73584220
>AAAAAAAAAGHGHHGHHG
>FUCK A NAZI
I don't think they are.
>>73584233
Nazism isn't the only variety of fascism
Also, it's "crypto". Unless you mean "cryo", which would be really weird.
no, they're pretty obvious anarchists
I love vaporwave and what do you think?

my favorite album
you're favorite album
Mr. Bungle - Mr. Bungle
What on earth are these guys so popular for? Just wondering before diving into their music
P..S. I'll give my thoughts on them afterwards.
I swear what makes that album special is impossible to put into words. Every time I try to describe it adequately I fail.
This board has a broken definition for the word popular
this album is so boring i almost fell asleep to it

*keeps I Will and Punchup at a Wedding because they're good*
*replaces We Suck Young Blood and A Wolf at the Door with Paperbag Writer and I am Citizen Insane*
Ah, much better.
>>73584060
Actually on second thought, keep A Wolf at the Door, but slam dunk Myxomatosis into the trash
>>73584060
>>73584081
How do you guys feel about low roar?
>>73583979
well, i really fucking hate kojima.
that being said, im glad ryan is getting exposure. once in a long long while did not live up to 0, sad to say. glad to see him on mu as well
>>73584462
I'm not the greatest fan of Kojima either. I've been a fan of Ryan for a solid year before that trailer though, so I was really happy to see the exposure. He's making a bigger splash thanks to the exposure, so I can thank Kojima for that much
>>73584501
i just hate all the "death stranding brought me here lol xd" people. ive been a fan since low roar, and 0 really took it up a notch, but long while was far below the bar 0 set, but still great. its bittersweet, all the exposure hes getting
