Let's say that you are in Homer's position, but instead of eating donuts they make you listen your favorite album a billion times, would you survive?

You don't understand just how much I would actually enjoy that. I'm one of those people that can listen to the same album two to three days in a row without getting tired of it
albums you try to like but cant
cant stand this album
no idea why anyone would like it
I really want to see what all the acclaim is about, but it just sounds like your typical dreary indie fare to me.
Swans in general, though I haven't heard anything post-reunion
>>73961568
I agree with this
Why do a lot of albums have a a Japan bonus track(s)? Why don't they just put that shit on the whole release?
CDs in Japan cost more so it is a way to get them to actually bother to buy the CDs
Don't know why it still happens when no one buys physical music anymore but that's why it started
>>73961495
Import laws that makes buying Japan market CDs more expensive, the bonus track encourages Japs to buy the Japanese market releases instead of importing one made for release in America.
>>73961602
In Japan physical music is still huge. There are Best-Buy-sized stores there full of nothing but CDs. This is why their music industry earns as much money as it does.
>>73961602
>CDs in Japan cost more
you are damn right. i got the phoenix wright soundtrack over there at tower records for like $30. its not even the orchestra version, its just 8bit from the game. still cool i have it though just to say i do
Would you like a collab Grimes - Bjork? Any chances to happen that?
no, bjork is a true artist
grimes is just a bad skrillex rip off
>>73961472
>no, bjork is a true artist
And Grimes isn't?
>grimes is just a bad skrillex rip off
She doesn't even sound like Skrillex. I will assume that's just b8.
>>73961441
Probably would be total overkill weirdness desu, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be interesting to listen to imo.
Is post-rock just krautrock revival, but no one could call it krautrock because it was not made in germany?
There are alot of stylistic similarities between krautrock and post rock.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zndpi8tNZyQ
Long, atmospheric instrumentals with alot of repetition
Post-rock lacks the psychedelia most krautrock bands embraced, does it not.
>>73961378
But i mean, look at Neu for example. if they existed today and they were american, everyone would consider it post-rock pretty easily
Okay /mu/ lets quit dicking around and pretending that this album seriously isn't the GOAT
>>73961326
it isn't.
>>73961336
WRONG and my dubs confirm it
Tool would be fantastic if they weren't so up their own arses about their music. They have some really cool songs on Aenima, but it's ruined by the filler tracks and the mystic bollocks that dragged Lateralus and 10,000 days down further. They could've been a more mathy Jesus Lizard but they decided public masturbation was more enjoyable

That should be www obviously. Phone posting fucks me up every time.
What do you find so appealing in The Velvet Underground & Nico? I listened to it and it was mostly boring and repetitive. Should I listen again, but without concentrating on the music so much?
>>73961013
just keep listening
its dreampop for people who think electronica is embarrassing
>repetitive
?
>>73960999
>music 95% of /mu/ have never heard
I'm not gonna lie, I don't give a single fuck to both sides

Rate hate recc or tell me about your week
mine's been great, worked a lot, went to some cool shows, going to meet my fresh (sort of) gf's parents tomorrow and life's been treating me pretty well the last few months :)
Hope this thread gets some life because collage threads that don't take off make me feel like shit, whether I'm OP or not
All I do is relax and play vidyas. So my week's been pretty good according to my standards.
We have another one of these threads, but imma still post.

Nice Terria. I love that album. Earth Day is one of my favorite metal tracks overall. Did you ever listen to Casualties of Cool? I assume you have thanks to all of the Devy on your chart, but make sure to peep it if you somehow haven't already.
>>73960949
Did you know there's an NES Holy Diver video game?
Good?
>>73960844
Better.
>>73960844
Yes, though not as varied as Mirrored
>>73960844
didn't like it quite as much as mirrored and la di da di but still pretty good

Good taste, that talk talk album and Songs For The Blind are great. It seems your taste is pretty varied.
