albums you try to like but cant
cant stand this album
no idea why anyone would like it
I really want to see what all the acclaim is about, but it just sounds like your typical dreary indie fare to me.
Swans in general, though I haven't heard anything post-reunion

I agree with this
Give it a listen about every half a year. Maybe it'll click eventually.

This. I love shoegaze and dream pop and blackgaze, stuff like Slowdive and Oh Hiroshima and Mazzy Star and Deafhaven, but I can't listen to loveless. I understand that it's probably amazing, I just don't enjoy listening to it.
anything by The Mars Volta

that album fucking sucks
>>73961600
This. Also anything by swans.

listen to To Be Kind from the beginning. It sounds nothing like their other material. The first track will pull you in if you fancy crescendo-core a la Godspeed.

That's one of those albums that sounds trite today but was truly a contrast during its release. The industry was oversaturated with Britpop & Grunge, so OKCPU was a breath of fresh air for its lyrical depth and atmosphere.

agreed, lose interest every time after the 2nd track
>>73961556
feels good knowing I'm not alone, I just listened to the debut and was totally bored to tears.
this garbage
>>73961600
radiohead is so fucking mundane i dont get it
>>73963567
I like a handful of songs from it, but Bringing It All Back Home is such a better album in that era of Dylan.
It's not that a don't like it. It's just that most of the songs are so boring

You have to be in the right mindset i find. The album has a great atmosphere and mood but the only song i truly love on that album is she's the star/i take this time
