Whether it be from sci-fi, videogames or real life. What are some of the most atrocious military vehicle designs have you ever seen? planetside 2 prowler main battle tank

All the MBTs are bad except for the Vanguard.

NC master race
The great debate.
>>34237006
I've used both plenty. They both have merits, but I prefer Mil myself.
>>34237006
It all comes down to one thing really. Do the people you shoot with use Mil or do they use MOA?
>>34237028
>the people you shoot with
i shoot alone
Is smokeless powder a meme?
Smokeless powder has potential for the battle field but for civilians, not much. Unless you plan on shooting in your local saloon there's really not advantage to smokeless powder
Just heard from some faggot that 'self-loading' pistols will be the new norm for the military and concealed carry in a couple of years. Said something about how they are going to make pistols that feed from a box magazine like those Lee-Metford rifles the Brits have instead of using cylinders. Then he went on talking about springs and recoil or something.
Fucking lunatics. I bet folks like him don't even use mercury to treat their syphilis.
>>34236945
Yes. I tried using some but all my brass is useless now! I think it may have to do with our mercury primers. Ammo manufacturers don't want us reloading our cases!
Not trying to shill, but I want other anons to have a chance at the deals I saw today:
Gander Mountain in Blaine is selling like 7 or 8 Yugo capture K98ks for only $223.00 each.
>>34236736
Anybody in the twin cities here?
>>34236736
Don't miss out!
>>34236736
damn, it's a shame they're not doing store to store transfers right now.
Why isn't the Stoner 63 more prolific? Why didn't the military adopt it outside of special forces work? Was it too expensive? Was the M16 already adopted?

Man, I really hope the Navy gives it a Viking funeral via Harpoons.
Would rather see one of the Iowas go than lose the last remaining dreadnought.
Is it time to give her a permanent dry berth?
>>34236440
I think they were planning that all along. Dam the inlet, crib her up and fill it in.

Yes, I got two.
Now that Montenegro is part of NATO, how long until Ukraine is absorbed?
>>34235312
No nation is "absorbed" they make the decision domestically to apply for membership, try to meet all the requirements for membership, then it's sent off to Brussels where it is then discussed with the current members. They weigh the pros and cons of letting in this new state.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4YwnsdfWJ8
Also, just a few days ago Ukraine made the move of domestically affirming it's desire to join NATO.

As long as Ukraine has the conflict in the east and doesn't give up on Crimea, never. Same as Georgia. Russia set those frozen conflicts up on purpose.

Good
>Implying y'all don't wanna be like James Bond
Minus the STDs I guess.
Bond carried anemic manlet pistols like walther ppk and beretta 418 in fucking .25ACP, I would've killed spectre in one movie just by carrying 10mm

yeah and you would have only got one movie

Ya but it Would be cool lol
How do you fags feel about Women serving in the military?
Personally, I don't think women, regardless of how much of a butch dyke she is, should be allowed to serve period, but as far as I'm aware, they're planning on having co-ed units. I have a feeling that will ruin our military (US btw)
Anyway, I'm usually post on /pol/, but I was curious about how you guys on /k/ felt about this issue?
I think we should give women a chance to be in combat roles, but we're setting them up for failure by putting them in co-ed units.
If they can find enough women who want to be infantry to create a platoon, that'd be something worth trying. And they HAVE to be named the Amazons
If there IS a co-ed unit, condoms and birth control expenses WILL rise.
They're fine in non-combat and pilot roles. Anything dealing with actually fighting should definitely not be up to women, ever.
This kid actually used birdshot when he shot up the store and murdered 3 people
What the actual fuck
Double ought BTFO
He spent 54 rounds to kill 3 people who he barricaded in a small space.
Keep in mind, the average self-defense engagement only uses 1-2 shots to kill or incapacitate the target.
>>34235139
>birdshot
I fucking knew it, there was no way he could have been that autistic but use the correct ammo.
>>34235345
Keep in mind most of his shots were just fired at merchandise because apparently he doesn't understand that the supermarkets shit was all insured
>In a House Armed Services Committee hearing this week, officials said the service is committed to maintaining a minimum of six A-10 combat squadrons through 2030. Why so few? The Air Force may not have enough money to fund an ongoing wing replacement for a full nine squadrons worth of aircraft. The head of Air Combat Command, Gen. Mike Holmes, on Friday said in an interview with Defense News that reducing the number of squadrons is a possibility. Holmes “explained that we currently only have funding to replace the wings of 173 A-10s,” ACC spokeswoman Capt. Carrie Volpe told Military.com on Friday.
>Volpe stressed the service is aware that the National Defense Authorization Act restricts any A-10s from being divested “until the F-35/A-10 comparative testing is complete and all reports to Congress are delivered.” The A-10 is a Cold War-era ground-attack plane known for its iconic gun designed to shred tanks and its tough titanium armor designed to take hits and keep flying.
>Rep. Martha McSally, R-Ariz., an avid A-10 supporter and former ‘Hog pilot herself, this week questioned — once again — the Air Force’s motives. “From my view and my experience, if we need that capability until a proven, tested replacement comes along, nine squadrons is the absolute minimum,” she said. “So I really would like to know — I think this is the first time you guys have publicly said — although I have a pretty good intel sources with my buds in the A-10 community — but it’s the first time you’ve publicly said that you’re going to go down to six squadrons. I’d really like to know what those planning assumptions are of the six squadrons,” she said.

>>34234598
They've been threatening this every year since 1991. A-10 will stick around, they don't have a replacement for her, at least not yet.
>>34234606
This time we've got it cornered. The A-10 will soon be the A-0.
>>34234598
Good, the A10 is absolute shit against anything that can shoot back
Why do nukes still fucking exist?
>>34234307
Because as long as other countries have nukes there can't be any kind of disarmament.
Also the nuclear deterrent has saved several western countries from pointless wars, and so far two countries that both have nuclear arms have yet to fight an all out war.
>tldr
It does more good than bad.
>>34234368
this. its for mutual deterrent and by extension, political power/ leverage
>implying it ever existed in the first place

Why don't they cut down trees with shaped charges instead of chainsaws?
seems like you could just wrap a shaped charge belt around a tree and blow it up and cut a tree down in like 2 seconds
>>34234294
Like, det cord?
>>34234294
Cause saws are cheaper and easier to get.
They do. We were trained to rig explosives to trees for ambushes and such.
If you drill a hole to a tree and put explosives there, even a hundred grams of tnt is enough to fell a large tree.
